A terrible thing

I encountered one of my neighbors when I approached my apartment tonight.

We rarely met because we had very different routines.

We politely said hello to each other and had a small chat.

Then he started talking about my windowsill garden. It's a little weird because the windows of our two apartments face parallel in the same direction, which made it quite difficult for him to see the details he talked about.

The weirder thing was that he began to ask me questions based on his observation of my daily life.

I feel uncomfortable even now, sitting in my apartment. I feel like someone's spying on me. Am I being too sensitive, or is this neighbor too borderless?

Anyway, it's a terrible thing for me. I will think about a solution tomorrow.

I encountered one of my neighbors when I approachedas I got back to my apartment tonight.

approached is not incorrect, but it doesn't sound natural.

We rarely meet because we hadve very different routines.

We politely said hello to each other and hmad ae small chattalk for a while.

I don't know the contents of your small chat, but it sounds like it would have been trivial things like the weather. In that case, you can call it "small talk".

It's a little weird because the windows of our two apartments face parallel in the same direction, which made it quite difficult for him to see the details he talked about.

"Parallel in the same direction" is a clunky phrase, maybe something like "are both south facing" (or any other direction) would work better?

The weirder thing was that he began to ask me questions based on his observation of my daily life.

I feel uncomfortable even now, sitting in my apartment.

I feel like someone's spying on me.

Am I being too sensitive, or is this neighbor too borderlesdisrespecting my boundaries?

Boundaries are what we call the edges of people's personal space.

Thanks a lot!

I don't think he'd dare to hurt me physically, but it's really offensive to be 听墙角 all the time.

Yes, true true

We’ve rarely met because we hadve very different routines.

We politely said hello to each other and had a smallhort chat.

“…made small talk”
“…had a short chat / talk / conversation”

It's a little weird because the windows of our two apartments face parallel in the same direction, which made it quite difficult for him to see the details he talked about.

“Face parallel in the same direction” is an awkward / confusion description. “Facing the same direction” makes me think the windows are next to each other and face the same way.

Parallel would generally be used when talking about 2 or more things that are across from each other and running the same direction. Eg “the children on the playground formed 3 parallel lines”

Am I being too sensitive, or is this neighbor too borderleslacking boundaries?

Feedback

Hope things work out with your neighbor!
