A story
This is a story passed down from the older generation in Taiwan.
In the early rural society of Taiwan, villagers would place a water tank at the entrance of the village and let travelers drink from it for free.
It is said that a Japanese man named Yoichi Hatta was walking on the vast Tainan Plain but couldn't find any water to drink.
When he went to a farmer's house to ask for a bottle of water, the farmer said, "Okay."
As a result, Mr. Hatta waited for a long time, about an hour later, the farmer came back and brought a bottle of water for Mr. Hatta to drink.
"Where did you go just now?" Mr. Hatta asked.
The farmer said, "I went to the river and brought you this bottle of water to drink."
