A Space Temple

Daigoji temple announced a plan that launches a satellite and builds a temple on low earth orbit in 2023. The satellite aims to protect cultural properties in mountainous regions where radio waves don't reach. Half of the payload is a space temple storing Buddha statues. The temple will regularly hold memorial service to pray for the peace of the whole world and the safety of human space activity. This is not fake news.

A Space Temple

Daigoji temple announced a plan thato launches a satellite and builds a temple oin low earth orbit in 2023.

The satellite aims to protect cultural properties in mountainous regions where radio waves don't reach.

The sentence isn't grammatically wrong, but I think it sounds really weird because it doesn't explain how the satellite will protect cultural items. If I said: "I aim to make my dog healthier by learning German", the sentence is technically correct, but doesn't make much sense. I did a bit of my own research about this article, and I think I would say:

"The satellite aims to protect cultural properties in mountainous regions where radio waves don't reach by imaging the area from above."

Just to add that explanation for how it will do it.

Half of the payload is a space temple storing Buddha statues.

The temple will regularly hold memorial services to pray for the peace of the whole world and the safety of human space activity.

This is not fake news.

Interesting topic. It sounds very silly though, and I am increasingly wary of space debris in orbit potentially preventing future space exploration, so I hope it is doing more good than bad.

Thank you so much! I agree space debris is a dangerous problem. I hope this challenge will succeed and more people will interest in space exploration.
