Remember the fifth commandment: don't kill your time.
This is an aphorism by the German writer Erich Kästner. Many of his books are quite easy to understand and can be read in German by anyone whose level of German is around B2. When I was a child, I finished reading "Emil and the Detectives", "Lottie and Lisa" and "The Animal Congress" within a few days.
