Recently I discovered a mobile game that could make you lost track of time because of its relaxing vibe. Sky: Children of The Light is a game that beautifully animated with peaceful music and unique back story. In the game, you can explore many realms as a "moth" that requires light for a source of energy to strengthen your wings to fly.
As a someone that addicted to mobile game like Mobile Legend Bang Bang, I found Sky provides way friendlier interactions among the players. Old players usually help you to roam around searching for lights, spirits, wings or simply chatting and playing around. Sky is definitely a fun game that I would recommend!

doing something "for" something implies that you have some control over the result
a source is "as a source", rather than "for a source" because you don't have control over the fact that it is a source, you just use it "as it is"
even in the case where you are attempting to control the source, like "they used advertising to control public opinion for a source of votes", "as a source" is more natural since "as a source" is more of a set phrase
anyway, that's my intuitive understanding as a native speaker
