A Question

Do you use a sellotape dispenser? I have to create an original tape dispenser and draw its blueprint as my class assignment. However, I hardly use a sellotape, so I can't come up with what functions are convenient.
Do you have any idea for convenient functions? What is frustrating when you use a sellotape?

Corrections

Do you use a sellotape dispenser?

"Sellotape" is a brand name of a specific type of tape. Sometimes in English, these names do become the name for certain items. (Band-aid is one example.) Sellotape is one of these types of names, but only in Britain. So that's why, I think saying tape dispenser is better, because it is the more commonly used name everywhere.

I have to create an original tape dispenser and draw its blueprint as myfor a class assignment.

However, I hardly use a sellotape, so I can't come up with what functions are convenient.

"A sellotape" is wrong, because tape is an object which does not have individual units. Saying "a sheep" means there is one sheep. Saying "a sellotape" would mean there is one tape, but that doesn't really mean anything, because tape can be any length.

What is frustrating when you use a sellotape?

Same correction as before for "a sellotape".

Feedback

Hmmm, problems that I have when using tape... I guess when I want to use lots of very small pieces of tape, I often cut many small bits of tape, and end up needing to stick them to the table to store them. Perhaps a tape dispenser which also had a place to store cut bits of tape so you can quickly prepare a lot of pieces? I also think many devices kind of suck to use for disabled people, and perhaps a tape dispenser that is easy to use one-handed would be useful for them, and potentially even for people with two arms in circumstances where they need to tape something down with one hand.

Certainly, making a lot of pieces is difficult only by hands, and devices for disabled people are also easy to use for all people, especially the old and children.
Thank you for your correction and idea! I'll make a good one :)
