Feedback

I had to think about this. We can't use "to" + gerund unless there's another verb in front of it just like in "I'm looking forward to correcting your journals." The "am looking" is the verb phrase which precedes the "to" + gerund phrase. Then the "to" + gerund acts like a direct object to the verb phrase before it. Am I making sense? I hope this helps! This is a very good question!
