A nice dinner with my friends

Last week I had dinner with a group of friends. After being more than two years by our own, we finally got to meet again, and I must say that it was splendid. Sometimes one could think that talking with someone you haven't seen in a long time could be awkward or somehow unpleasant, but that day I felt like I got a great load off my chest while I was telling them all the great and not so great things that happened to me during the time we remained separated. After all, that's why we are friends, isn't it? I look forward to seeing them again!

Please correct me! Thank you!

"Splendid" está bien, pero "wonderful" suena más natural.

El presente continuo suena un poco más simpático. "I look forward" suena formal, como estamos en el trabajo.

Thank you!
