I recently hiked to three mountain villages and stayed overnight in two of them.
All of these villages are beautiful and unique, and I like them very much, but I found a small different point and I've been thinking a lot about it in the last few days.
It's about the people living in the village, their attitudes, and the atmosphere I felt as a traveler.
In the first village (you can see it in this video: https://youtu.be/ELnP2vcdWmM), I had a conversation with the owner of a hostel and talked to the owner of a cafe. Both of them negatively discussed the tasks they needed to complete for the business. For example, they had to stay at home and work during the holidays.
In the second village (you can see it in this video: https://youtu.be/Nd3ZLpyPd5A), I chatted with the lady who owned the homestay where we were staying. She was so proud of her clean house, nice food, and even the fresh vegetables she planted. When we told her the dinner she and her husband had made for us was amazing and delicious, she was happy but quiet.
In the third village (https://youtu.be/n_Ry7BCTJxY), we stayed in an old house built in the Qing dynasty. The B&B family had four people. The older woman prepared delicious local food for us and she was constantly busy from the moment we arrived until we departed. While the other three were just hanging out. I could feel the fatigue on her face and our chat, and my hike friends complained about the B&B for being a little dirty.
The fun thing was that the conversations corresponded to the comments I heard about the three villages: the first one was nice but a little too business, the second one was great and wanted to go again, the third one had beautiful views but a little mess.
I think there is Fengshui in business, family, and even a person. It's about one's attitude and relationships between people and their surroundings.
A little Tthought
All of these villages awere beautiful and unique, and I liked them very much, but I founnoticed a small different pointce and I've been thinking a lot about it inover the last few days.
It's about the people living in the village, their attitudes, and the general atmosphere I felt as a travelerthere.
There's a thing called [parallelism](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallelism_(grammar)) and it's important to English writing. Normally, if we make a list, we try to keep all the "parts" of the list in the same style. Here, since item #1 and item #2 are about the village, it feels a bit strange when item #3 is about your perspective.
Both of them negatively discussed the tasks they needed to complete for the business.
You could also say:
- had negative things to say about...
- had nothing good to say about...
For example, (they disliked that) they had to stay at home and work during the holidays.
When we told her the dinner she and her husband had made for us was amazing and delicious, she was happy but (remained) quiet.
The B&B family had four people.
This is grammatically OK, but it takes a bit of time to think about.
It would be clearer to say something like: "The family running the bed & breakfast consisted of four people."
While tThe other three were just hangiung out.
"While" normally requires two clauses
"While the woman was very busy, the other three people didn't do anything"
I could fseel the fatigue on her face and ourfeel it when we chatted, and my hike friends complained about the B&B for being a little dirty.
These two phrases are about quite different things, so you might want to turn them into separate sentences.
The fun thing was that the conversations corresponded toI had reflected/matched the comments I had heard about the three villages: the first one was nice but a little too business, the second one was great and wantedI'd like to go again, someday, and the third one had beautiful views but was a little messy.
I think this is what you meant to say — you had researched the 3 villages before going, learned that they were supposedly-XYZ type places, and then, when you want, your experience was indeed that they were XYZ-type places.
I think there is Fengshui in business, family, and even a personindividual people.

Sounds fun 🙂 I'd like to go hiking a bit when I return to Taiwan, too.

The funny thing was that the conversations corresponded to the comments I heard about the three villages: the first one was nice but a little too business,y (business-like); the second one was great, and we wanted to go again,; the third one had beautiful views but was a little messy.
I think there is Fengshui in business, family, and even in a person.
It's all about one's attitude and relationships between people and their surroundings.
