A Letter To Bank

I encountered a truly ridiculous matter when opening a bank account at BMO Bank in Canada a few days ago. In the following, I will try to write a letter to complain about this matter. It's only a letter-writing practice.

Dear Manager who is concerned,

On February 20, I went to your branch located at ABCD Street to replace my bank debit card, because I accidentally released the security code to an unreliable website. One of your customer managers received me at the appointed time and issued a new card to me. Everything went smoothly and I appreciated their efficient help.

While they assured me all the remaining balances would be the same as before, however, I later discovered the balance on the ATM was zero both in my Savings and Chequing account. Meanwhile, my mobile bank app displayed correctly. Hence, I then sought help from this bank staff. Surprisingly, although they confirmed my account status on their system. However, due to some unknown technical problem, I cannot use the ATM anymore. That is to say, I cannot withdraw cash from the ATM. They suggest I go to the counter if I need.

MBO is known considered one of the five major banks in Canada. I personally cannot understand how this could happen to a bank system, I respectfully request a thorough investigation into this case to restore my access to ATM.

I await your response with keen interest.

Yours Faithfully,

XYZ

A Letter To The Bank

"A Bank"也行了,但是用英语我们通常说“The Bank"因为很多人只用一家。

Dear MTo the manager who isit may concerned, ¶

On February 20, I went to your branch located at ABCD Street to replace my
bank debit card, because I accidentally released the security code to an unreliable website.

"To <whom> it may concern" is the most common way to address a letter in English, when you don't know who will read it.

One of your customer manageremployees received me at the appointed time and issued a new card to me.

The people who work at the front of most bank branches are called "tellers" - it is a term specific to banks. Usually we just say "manager" if they manage other employees - if their main job is to interact with customers and they are a subordinate, then we would say something like "customer service agent" (if it is over the phone), a "salesperson", or just "employee".

I used "employee" here because it is the most general and not everyone who works in a bank is a teller.

Everything went smoothly and I appreciated their efficient help.

While they assured me all the remaining balances would be the same as before, however, I later discovered the balance on the ATM was zero both in my Ssavings and Cchequing account.

We don't normally capitalize the terms "chequing account" or "savings account." You might only see that in official advertisements & copy for a specific product offered by a bank (e.g. the official Chase Savings account).

Meanwhile, my mobile bank app displayed correctly.

Hence, I then sought help from the staff at this bank staff.

You could also say "the bank staff" or just "the staff."

Surprisingly, although they confirmed my account status on their system.

However, due to some unknown technical problem, I cannot use the ATM anymore.

They suggest I go to the counter if I need to.

Feedback

Banks really can seem crazy sometimes as a customer. There are tons of anti-fraud measures in place behind the scenes, but sometimes normal customers are flagged by mistake.

SaintFrancisII's corrections look fine to me too, but just to be sure, the comma goes after "Dear Manager," not on a separate line.
