A letter to a friend struggling with her son.
[Task: a friend of yours who has a problem with her teenage son who has changed dramatically in the last months. He was very communicative, and he's not any longer, he does not help at all, to sum up, he's a dark horse. ]
Dear Martina,
I hope you are well and everything is OK. Sorry, I haven’t written for so long, but I’m very busy these days at work. I’m writing to let you know my perspective, but maybe a better source of information about it would be a pedagogue.
Changes come and go along our growing time. Maybe he is being so rude due to a certain thing that is happening in his life, or perhaps it is just a bad week. Sometimes, when I try to figure out what happens, I’m being too invasive to my daughter. Most of the time I end barking up the wrong tree, and she just needed his space.
On the other hand, my daughter has problems when she needs help. She struggles to try to express his feeling. I think that is a common thing among young people.
Bad behaviour, even from your son, is a way that he has to communicate and “speak out”, in a certain way, his feelings.
Sorry, I hadn’t been as helpful as you need, but I’m in the same dilemma as you.
