A Letter
Hi, Cleone, how are you?
I think that you would feel very sudden and wouldn't know who I was when you received this letter.
In the middle of July, 2020, I was eager to find an English teacher to help me with my English writing (at that time I thought if I could write well then I could speak well), and fortunately, I came across you. After you learned about what I wrote in English, you told me that you prefer to proofread formal academic papers, but you recommended me the LC site.
I immediately registered in the LC, and started practicing writing in English. What an amazing site! People there worked hard and seriously, and everyone's writing could be corrected very quickly by native speakers.
I have been learning there for almost two years. I believe that I have made a lot of progress. I am always grateful to you and the site.
I have talked about you to my English teachers many times when it comes to my English learning. Just yesterday, I mentioned you again, and I said that I must book a few lessons from you someday to show my gratitude.
So this morning, I looked for you in Italki. It's not hard work to find you because I added you to my favorite teachers. Unfortunately, your schedule is not available, and the website showed that you were on vacation.
That is why I wrote this letter to you. Hopefully, you will have the chance to read it. Anyway, thank you very much for telling me about the LC site. You are a very kind and helpful person, and I hope all the best for you and your family.
