A Game

Another game that I played in my childhood was 打尜.

Dried tree branches were everywhere in the countryside. People usually used them as firewood.

To play the game, I first found a tree branch 4 centimeters in diameter and cut it at one end into a 10 centimeters long stuff. Afterwards, sharpen both ends of the stuff. Then a 尜 (gá)was done.

Then, I cut the left branch from one end into a about 35 centimeters long stick, thus all the stuff for the game was done.

When I played the game, I drew a square on the ground, and put the 尜 into the square. I used one end of the long stick to hit one end of the 尜, which jumped into the air and I used the long stick to hit the middle of 尜 to hit it far away.

Children who hit the 尜 farthest were the winners.

Stuff here means the 10 centimeters long piece of the brunch.

Okay, you can also say "Then sharpen both ends of the branch." As you are talking about the branch in the previous sentence. There are other words you could use here, too.

To play the game, I first found a tree branch 4 centimeters in diameter and cut it at one end into a 10 centimeters long stuaff.

is this what you meant, staff?

Afterwards, I sharpened both ends of the stuff.

so that it's meaning is "I" doing it

Then athe 尜 (gá)was done.

ThenAfter that, I cut the left branch from one end into a about a 35 centimeters long stick, thusand then finally all the stuff for the game was done.

I used one end of the long stick to hit one end of the 尜, which jumped into the air and. Then I used the long stick to hit the middle of 尜 to hit it far away.

I meant a short brunch stick. I just looked up the word staff, it also means a stick. When I used the word stuff, I meant a thing, or an item.
