This morning. I cut off a winter melon and a loofah from my garden. They are incredibly fresh and I even took a photo to celebrate my reward. The homegrown products can't be matched by anything bought from a supermarket. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, both of them are recognized with medical properties; winter melon can be for dehumidification and loofah is good for phlegm dispelling.
I believe we can't eat anything too much regardless of how good they are, I will never forget I once had eaten too much fresh raw celery from my garden which made me diagnosed with breast hyperplasia. I once wrote this terrible and embarrassing experience on this site.
We made tasty dishes "winter melon with shrimp" and "minced meat with loofah" in the afternoon. It's part of a casual and leisurely rural lifestyle I really enjoy.
