A provincial sports meeting was opened in my city, which led to a large number of people from various cities coming this town where I live. As a result, there was one person diagnosed as positive in the area.

In order to prevent the virus spreading further, the government required many students and workers to stay at home through carrying out distant studying and working from home. These measures restricted our freedom, which is disappointing.

Everyone living in the city must do nucleic acid testing which is free every day from the date of November 7th. Today, I saw many students wearing their pajamas go downstairs to do the nucleic acid testing. Obviously, many of them regard this period as vacation time.

Thank you very much!

A provincial sports meeting was openplayed in my city, which led to a large number of people from various cities coming thisinto town where I live.

You already mentioned "my city" so you don't need to repeat "town where I live".

As a result, there was one person was diagnosed as positive for Coronavirus in the area.

Your original is not wrong, but it feels like it's missing information without mentioning what they were diagnosed with at least one time.

In order to prevent the virus spreading further, the government required many students and workers to stay at home through carrying out distant studying and working from homeand attend classes virtually or work remotely.

These measures restricted our freedom, which is disappointing.

Everyone living in the city must do nucleic acidget PCR testings which isare free every day from the date ofstarting November 7th.

Nucleic acid testing is correct English, but the typical term for this kind of test is PCR test(ing).

Today, I saw many students wearing their pajamas go downstairs to do the nucleic acidPCR testings.

Obviously, many of them aregard this period treating this as as vacation time.

Your original was ok, but this is a more natural way to say this sentence.

Thank you for correcting this! But I have a question. What is the full phrase of PCR? I searched for it and the online dictionary told me that its full phrase was “Polymerase Chain Reaction”. Can PCR test mean test out any kind of virus? Thank you again!

Any test that checks for DNA from a germ (like a virus or infection) can be called a PCR test. In everyday speech, at least in the United States, we just call it a "test" - for example "I'm feeling sick, so I'd better get a COVID test", or "I'd better get tested for COVID". But if you want to specify what kind of test, PCR test is what we call it.

Got it! Thank you very much for replying to me! “Test” is a functional word.
