I have a laptop computer and use it for classes, but the speaker suddenly stopped working the other day. Even insert an earphone, I could listen to only noise. In the beginning, I opened the sound system and used troubleshooting, but it didn't work. Next, I re-install the sound driver and shut down, but it was useless. The solution was BIOS. After turn off my computer, turned it up pushing F6, then BIOS was activated. I initialized the setting and could solve the problem. It was a struggle.

I've never had to work with faulty speakers, but I have had to figure out laptop problems, sometimes by going into the BIOS. It can be very frustrating. Glad to hear you were able to get your laptop's speaker working!
