Our company has a strict rule.
The commuting expenses of the distance within 2 km from your home to the nearest station is not covered.
We are not allowed to use bus under the rule.
So, no matter how much hot or cold, we have to take a walk to the nearest station.
I'm wondering who decided this.

Someone who lived more than 2km away from the station clearly decided the rule :D
Is there a way to "bend the rules" and still get expensed?
When I lived in Japan, I think one of my colleagues set it to my 2nd nearest station so I could a little bit more money!
AOur Company's Rule
The commuting expenses of the for distances within 2 km from your home to the nearest station is not covered.
Alternatively: “The commuting expense to stations within 2km of your home are not covered.”
I assume the expense isn’t covered to ANY station within 2km, not just the CLOSEST station.
We are not allowed to use bus under theis rule.
Alternatively: Under this rule, we are not allowed to use the bus.
So, no matter how much hot or cold it is, we have to take a walk to the nearest station.
I would combine these two sentences: “Under this rule, we are not allowed to use the bus regardless of how hot or cold it is.”
