When my friends and I talked about Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, or other popular series, we'd always say things like "I'm reading the 5th book" or "I just finished book 6". I also think "published" also sounds a little strange compared to saying "only five books have come out" or "only five books have been released".

And the last published one was 13 years ago, so I will probably have to wait forever...
