I am in the same situation. I can speak a little English, but I won't talk to English speakers if I meet them on the streets. The reasons are 1, I am not confident enough about my English. 2, I am afraid that they will ignore me. 3, I am afraid that my behavior will make them angry. 4, I am an introvert and don't know what I should talk to them about.
The reasons are 1: one, I am not confident enough about my English.
When writing and numbering our points, use the word and not the number. For example, you would not write "1st," but rather "First,"
2Two, I am afraid that they will ignore me.
3Three, I am afraid that my behavior will make them angry.
4And lastly, I am an introvert and don't know what I should talk to them about.
It's nice to end a list with "lastly" or "finally" to show it is the last part of the list.
