Hey Mat
I've got home now. Tiananmen Square is really sensitive to people who could remember things in 1989, but it is not sensitive to people who were born after 1989. In short, as an ordinary person, I don't have the right and I am not capable to judge political and historical events.
Tiananmen is a symbol of China, so it is highly guarded by the Chinese government to avoid dissidents creating disturbances.
Thank you for sending me the picture and video of the big mimosa tree. Before I saw it, I thought mimosa trees were grass plants, because the mimosa trees I saw in China were all planted in small pots.
I like the scenes in your video and picture: the blue sky, the white clouds, the trees and the bushes, as well as the small and quiet road. All of them give me the feeling that I feel like I am in the southern countryside in a mountainous area.
During this trip, I visited Yuanmingyuan Park, the National Stadium (also known as the Bird's Nest), the National Aquatic Center (also known as the Water Cube), Beidaihe Beach, Shanhai Pass and so on.
I took many pictures of the places I mentioned to you before. I just don't know which place I should show you first. So tell me if you are interested in any of them. Well, let me stop here and I will talk to you soon.
