Where to Try Out My English Skills
I hope to stay in New Zealand for a year someday and spend a lot of time on watching amazing starry sky. Canada is also one of my next travel destination since aurora can be seen there. Traveling abroad was most important motivation for learning English. I always devoted my long-term paid holiday to go abroad.
Last year, I was upset that I couldn't make myself understood in English and couldn't figure out what the bus announcements said about in New Zealand. I have to accept that my English skills aren't enough to communicate with native speakers. But, I guess that New Zealand English totally differ from U.S. English which we have learned for a long time in the Japanese educational system. English beginners like me are likely to ignore the differences of English pronunciation and intonation.
Taking into account my bucket list, I should get used to New Zealand English.

J'ai une image MEB et une image optique. Je suis sûr que la région de l'image optique se trouve quelque part dans l'image MEB mais je n'arrive pas à la trouver.Pense-tu qu'on peut utiliser ton script pour superposer deux images ?
J'ajoute l'image optique brute. D'après mes notes, la taille d'un pixel est de 55 nm.

Wi-Fi
Today, I couldn't use the internet before noon because my Wi-Fi router didn't work. I live in an apartment so I thought it was just a bad connection caused by simultaneous uses. However, after one hour I still couldn't access the internet. Therefore, I found my router had a problem. After all, after I unplugged the router and clean the LAN cable by air duster, the router has worked normally. It was lucky that I didn't have online classes while Wi-Fi was out of order, and I understood Wi-Fi is essential.

Gestern
Gestern bin ich am acht Uhr aufgestanden. Nachdem ich mir meine Zähne geputzt hatte, saß ich auf einem Stuhl, um zu meditieren. Vor ich mit dem Aktivität angefangen hatte, stellte ich einen Wecker auf meinem Handy an, der 20 Minuten lang dauert. Nach meine Meditation, hatte ich alle Geschirr in der Küche abgespühlt. Dann, ich fruhstuckte und telefonierte mit meiner Freundin. Nach eine Stunde, ging ich nach Panjim, die eine Stadt 20 Kilometer fern von meinem Haus war. Da hatte ich gegangen, um kleine Besorgungen zu machen. Ich kam um 14 Uhr vom Draußen zurück und kochte mein Mittagessen. Nachdem das Mittagessen, las ich ein Buch und trank ein kleine Tasse Tee. Um 18 Uhr schaute ich einen Film an, der sehr lustig war. Wegen den Film war ich in guten Launen und daswegen ich hatte für Abendessen Pasta gekocht. Um 22 Uhr war ich ins Bett und hörte ich einen Podcast an. Ich schlaf danach.

Australia Day
Oggi è Australia Day, cioè la festa nazionale ufficiale dell'Australia. Purtroppo non è una festa felice. Il 26 gennaio 1788 ricorda lo sbarco della First Fleet (Prima Flotta) nella Baia di Sydney e il preso formale della terra del Nuovo Galles del Sud come colonia inglese. Però la maggior parte degli aborigeni, e anche una grande parte degli australiani, chiama l’Australia Day “Invasion Day” (Giorno di Invasione). Questo nome non riferisce solo alla nuova colonia, ma proprio alla decimazione degli aborigeni, alle confische di terre usando la dottrina legale “terra nullius” (gli inglesi erano sicuro nella presa delle terre perché gli aborigeni, secondo loro, non contavano come una civilizzazione) e alla distruzione della loro cultura fino ad oggi (vedi la distruzione recente di un luogo importante per gli aborigeni compiuto da Rio Tinto). Quindi secondo me dobbiamo cambiare la data e cercare ancora di andare verso Reconciliation (riconciliazion).

Té o café
Me gusta más el café que el té, porque es una bebida, que estoy adicto. Lo bebo todas las mañanans. Es una costumbre que me gusta mucho. Antes he bebido muchos más de eso. Pero no me gustaba beber tan mucho. Ahora bebo soló una taza cada día.
Pero me gusta té también, especialmente en el invierno. Creo que es agradable tener una bebida caliente, cuando entras por frío.

Mis preocupaciónes
En este momento, estoy en mi primero año de un programa doctorado, y encuentro que es muy difícil durante la pandemia. Mi programa es en Florida, pero vivo a Portland, y he nunca visitado el estado de Florida en mi vida. Estoy haciendo todo mi trabajo en línea este año, entonces he nunca conocido las otras personas en mi grupo doctorado. Tengo un par de amgios a Portland con quien hablo en persona durante cuarantena, pero estes amigos no son en academia, entonces no saben como es este cambio de vida. Tengo la impresión de que trabajo todo el tiempo, pero al mismo tiempo, no soy productiva en cuarentena. El tiempo de año escolar viene donde todos los estudiantes tienen que informar a nuestro programa sobre todos los algos que hemos hecho este año, y me preocupa que no he hecho lo bastante.

The Chinese New Year has the same days off in the whole country. There are seven days off in total. This Chinese New Year is from February 11 to 17.
Now, at least for me, the Chinese New Year has already become an ordinary day.
When I was young, the Chinese New Year referred to wearing new clothes, to eating delicious food and to having fun, but now, it is not the same as it used to be, because we can eat delicious food, wear new clothes and have fun every day.
I believe it is the outcome of people's hard work and the development of society, so I am very grateful for this.
There are only seventeen days left before the Chinese New Year arrives. I can't even believe it. How fast time flies!
In the upcoming new year, I hope we can stay healthy and safe, and all wishes come true.
I hope for a Happy Chinese New Year for you in advance!

Die Kälte in Los Angeles
Mögt euch die Kälte oder die Wärme? Ich mag beides, aber im Allgemein habe ich die Wärme lieber. Als Einwohner von Kalifornien, bin ich sehr gewöhnt an die Wärme, und meistens ziehe ich mich an, mit der Annahme, dass es warm wird.
Deswegen war es eine totale Überraschung für mich, als es anfing, während des Wochenendes zu regnen. Es gab überall größe Pfütze. Angeblich hat es sogar in ein paaren Stadtteilen von Los Angeles geschneit. Das ist besonders ein seltenes Erreignis. Es gibt einen Witz oder einen Stereotyp, dass die Einwohner von Los Angeles unvermittelt vergessen, wie man mit dem Auto fährt, wenn es regnet. Also kann ich mir nur das Chaos (leider) vorstellen, wenn es schneit...!

El piano
Hoy toqué el piano por primera vez en dos años. Últimamente he pensado mucho en las canciones que me gustaría poder tocar así que la semana pasada, mandé un mensaje a la profesora de piano de mi hermana.
Me sumé a la cola de espera del conservatorio porque no está aceptando nuevos estudiantes ahora mismo. Decidí practicar un poco mientras para estar más preparada cuando puedo tomar lecciones.

今日はオーストラリア・デイーという祝日だ。毎年の一月二十六日、オーストラリア人はファースト・フリートという探検が１７８８年にオーストラリアに着いた事を祝う。この日に、アーサー・フィリップというイギリスの探検家はイギリスの旗を揚げて、白い肌の人々がオーストラリアに着くのは初めてだ。普通、オーストラリア人はバーベキューをしたり、海で遊んだり、パーティーをしたり楽しんで過ごす。でも、イギリズ人は多いアボリジニーを殺したから、最近この日はインバイジョン・デイと呼ぶる人が多くて、全国でデモを行われる。その人達はオーストラリア・デイの年月日を変えることを欲しがっている。アボリジニーを尊敬するために、私は賛成して、新しい何月日を選んだ方がいいと思っている。

Beschrijf je huis
k woon in een herenhuis zit in een buurt ten zuiden van Seattle. Op de benedenverdieping, twee auto's kunnen in de garage passen. Er zijn niets op deze vloer behalves de witte voordeur en de deuropening naar de garage. We hebben een grote kapstok winterkleren waar winterkleren in kunnen. Op de tweede verdieping is de woningkamer. Hier staat een bank voor de televisie. We kijken soms televise en chillen hier.Naast deze kamer is een lege ruimte die ik gebruik als kantoorruimte. Ik zit elke dag hier om te werken. De keuken en eetkamer bevinden zich ook op deze verdieping. De bovenste verdieping is waar mijn slaapkamer zit. Ik vind mijn slaapkamer leuk omdat ik de hele kamer zelf decoreer. Ik heb een grote groot bed met vier witte kussens en grijze deken. Dat is mijn veilige haven.

How attached are you to your phone? I guess I'm addicted to my cell phone, even though I feel like smashing it sometimes! Owining to the high price of phones these days, I think I'm taking good care of mine!
I mostly watch movies and TV series, listen to music, and contact my friends on my phone.
It makes me laugh how foolish one can get due to the rapid growth of technology. I once was looking up a word in a dictionary application on my phone, but I couldn't find any satisfying result. So I turned to a paperback dictionary that I wouldn't normally use. Luckily, after searching for a few minutes, I could find the word along with some good explanation.
It wasn't the end of the story though. Just below that word in the entry, there was a phrase containting that word, whose meaning was on another page. Instead of going to that page, however, I found myself pressing my index finger against the bold- printed phrase.
What was I really thinking when I was doing it?
