A confusion of word phrase
When I was doing my practice book, there's a sentence said " Go to the holiday agency and get a holiday ____". I filled in the blank with "book or advertisement". But answer is"brochure". Could you please explain the reason for me? I think "book or advertisement" is also right.

Une nouvelle voiture
Ma mère a acheté une nouvelle voiture aujourd'hui. Elle était dans un accident de voiture il y a deux semaines. Personne n'a été blessé, mais elle a complètement détruit sa voiture. La nouvelle voiture est plus récente que celle qu'elle a perdu et très belle de plus. Malheureusement, ma mère n'aime pas la couleur. Son ancienne voiture était bleue, sa couleur préférée, mais celle-ci est blanche. Demain elle a promis de me conduire à un rendez-vous chez le médecin et je peux me faire une opinion à ce moment-là. Je l'attends avec impatience.

Será la hora de replantearnos la energía nuclear?
Al lector le podrá sorprender que yo, siendo ecologista, me posicione a favor de lo que hasta ahora ha sido impensable, pero estoy cada vez más convencido de que tenemos que abrir el debate alrededor de la energía nuclear. Presento estos argumentos porque está cada vez más claro que los intentos internacionals de limitar las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero no han tenido nada de éxito, tanto a nivel global como aquí en Australia, así que necesitamos abrirnos a nuevos planteamientos.
También estoy consciente de que el movimiento antinuclear en Australia ha contribuido mucho a la prohibición de las plantas de energía nuclear por las leyes federales. Por otro lado, entre todos los países desarrollados el crecimiento per cápita de emisiones de efecto invernadero más rápido se detecta en Australia, principalmente por el hecho que Australia depende del carbón como fuente de electricidad para los hogares y la industria casi dos veces más que el resto del mundo. En mi opinión, este hecho hace que Australia tenga la responsabilidad especial de tomar acción definitiva.
Desde luego, estoy de acuerdo con que se debería hacer más para desarrollar las fuentes renovables de energía como la eólica y la solar, y en otras ocasiones Australia lideró en estos ámbitos, pero también hay que decir que estas fuentes de energía son intermitentes, y difíciles de desarrollar a gran escala.
Si lo que buscamos es una fuente de energía que no emita dióxido de carbono y que se pueda usar a gran escala para sustituir a los combustibles fósiles, la energía nuclear es -- nos guste o no -- una de las pocas que satisface los criterios, y si consideramos el hecho que Australia tiene reservas abundantes de uranio, resulta aún más necesario este replanteamiento.

Estive lendo mais artigos e noticias em japonês. A redação japonesa em comparação com a redação em espanhol é muito diferente, e por isso que ainda eu não entendo japonês. No entanto, o professor disse: "se você ler algo todos os dias, pouco a pouco entenderá", e por esse motivo, isso é o que eu faço. O auto aprendizagem é as vezes solitário e entediante, mas acho que está tudo bem.

A primavera já chegou?
Quando começa a primavera? O calendário diz o dia 20 de março, mas o meu coração diz que a primavera chegou hoje.
Depois de tantas semanas com neve e frio, as nuvens desapareceram, e o sol brilhou no céu. Pela primeira vez neste ano, eu saí de casa sem parka, já que a temperatura atingiu os 10° C. Sentia-me mais leve, e não estava a única. As outras pessoas na rua pareciam mais felizes e à vontades. No momento, as preocupações do ano passado diminuíram. Spirit
Esta tarde mi novio me mandó un video sobre "Spirit," el vehículo explorador del Marte. Mi primera reacción fue la desilusión sobre las partes del cohete que dejaban en el espacio entre la Tierra y Marte. Entiendo que todas las partes tienen su propia función, pero no me gusta pensar que estamos tirando "basura" tanto en el espacio como en la superficie del planeta. De todos modos, me di cuenta que no sabía mucho sobre este vehículo explorador y decidí leer el artículo sobre ello en Wikipedia. Me fascinó todo lo que descubrí durante el viaje y que Spirit sobrevivió muchos años más de lo que esperaban al empezar. Desafortunadamente, Spirit se falleció cuando se atascó en una zona de arena muy suave y no podía recibir suficiente sol para cargar sus pilas.

Practicing my writing on this site is already six months. At the beginning, I set my English level at A1. Den här veckan har jag träffade en bula på vägen med min bok. Jag lärde mig om färginställningar: CMYK och RGB. RGB används på digitala apparater och CMYK på printing. Mjukvaran att jag använder för att rita är satt till RGB och det finns ingen sätt för att ändra det. Men jag måste hitta en sätt för att ändra min konst från RGB till CMYK innan jag skickar den till tryckeriet... jag var tvingad att rita om igen alla sidor att jag hade redan gjort. Det är så jobbigt.

The Pronunciation
One of non-native English speakers like me wants to speak like a native speaker, but actually I could not make it. My final destination is that I could myself understood in English. Most of Japanese ignore the English pronunciation in general so that they seem to like to write English sentences most of all, but in terms of me, this kind of thing is really very strange. To write English sentenses is indeed important, but more importantly, we have to speak English pronunciation recognized by native speakers.
The Japanese who study English always emphasize the differences between the pronunciation of R sound and L sound. The Japanese cannot tell the difference between them in general. If they want to tell the differences, they had better learn how to pronounce them exactly, and actually learn the differences are not so difficult. The most of Japanese may feel like they cannot speak English pronunciation of the R and L sounds.
Actually, Japanese as for English pronunciation have tons of problems, not only the differences between R sound and L sound but also THE, V, W and so on as well. If they ignore to learn these pronunciations, I am sure it is not easy in order to make themselves understood with unclear English pronunciations.
First of all, I recommend they should correct their pronunciation, but my proposal in pull-punches style is always ignored as well. A person who pulls his punches seems to be ignored as well in Japan.

Gestern, hat es geschneit! Es gibt so viel Schnee jetzt. Heute, bin ich so müde. Ich lerne viel von meine Lehrveranstaltungen und meine Professoren sind sehr nett und informativ. Di solito quando mio babbo parla dei “bei vecchi tempi”, solo fingo di ascoltare. Ma lui ha avuto un’idea allettante su come potremmo celebrare le fine degli esami quando partiamo della scuola, prima che andiamo tutti in strade separate. Ha suggerito che noi prendiamo una pagina dal suo libro – pare che quando fosse diciottenne, avesse comprato un Interrail Pass con alcuni dei suoi amici e abbiano viaggiato in treno da una parte all’altra del’Europa. Questa era stata negli anni 80, quando metà del’Europa era dietro la Cortina di Ferro, avvolta nel mistero per gli adolescenti dall’ovest. Per viaggiare in un parecchio di paesi avevi bisogno di applicare in anticipo per un visto, quindi una cosa abbastanza difficile. La loro idea era d'intravedere qualche cultura europea, tuttavia non posso non pensarci quanto cultura lui abbia visto in realtà.
