How Children Baked Sweet Potatoes in the Fields in the Old T
Every year after sweet potatoes were harvested, there were still some of them remaining under the soil of the farmland.
A very exciting thing for us children was to dig out the sweet potatoes.
We carried a basket and a shovel and went to the sweet potato farmland. Our secret to finding a sweet potato was to find a stem outside of the soil and dig followed it.
After we got a few sweet potatoes, we dug a small ditch in the field and spread the sweet potatoes horizontally on it. Then found some crop straw, put the straw inside the ditch and burned the straw to bake the sweet potatoes.
When the sweet potatoes' color became dark, they were almost done. We stopped burning, pushed the sweet potatoes inside the ditch and covered them with a thick layer of soil.
Ten or twenty minutes later, we could eat the delicious baked sweet potatoes.

An Unforgettable Memory in My Childhood
I was born and raised in the countryside. My parents were farmers.
Our main food back then was sweet potatoes, which were planted by every family.
The sweet potato harvest season is usually in the middle of October. After a few cold and frosty mornings, the sweet potato leaves became withered. That meant the harvest season had come.
People used cattle and a plow to plow the sweet potatoes out of the soil, followed by others who picked up the sweet potatoes and put them into a basket that they carried.
Children often helped their parents to pick up the sweet potatoes and they were always very happy about doing so.
Because sweet potatoes were our main food for the whole year, we had to store them very well. First, people would dig a cellar, and then place some sweet potatoes in it in order to eat it later. Second, people would cut some of them into thin slices and spread them onto farmland to dry them in the sun. When it was done, people collected them and put them into a coarse mat that every family had.
The enjoyment in the sweet potato harvest season was that we children could look for some left sweet potatoes in the farm land and bake them in the spots.
The worst thing was that when I slept soundly at midnight, my parents woke me up because it rained, and we had to collect the sweet potato slices that were on the farmland.

Wie haben die Briten unsere Macht ergreift? Obwohl wir damalig keine gute Waffe Technologie hatten, hatten wir viel Mehr als die Briten denken konnten. Natürlicher Schutz, stärker Beziehung zwischen die Bevölkerung und der König, haben die Kraft der Britische verhindert, damit uns auf dem Vormarsch sein. Aber der Britische hat nicht aufgegeben. Sie waren wirklich schlau und manipulativ. Ihrer Ambition war echt stark und unaufhaltsam. Stück für Stück haben sie Planen gemacht, um uns zu kolonisieren und ihrer Erste-Einschränkung war unser Volk. Die Kraft der Kandyan Königreich war alles – der Geist der Leute. Beide Portugiesische und Holländisch haben zuerst Krieg erklärt und beide könnten gar nicht vollständig Kraft das Land zu erhalten. Aber die Briten waren schlauer. Sie haben Pläne schmieden, um zuerst die Beziehung zwischen die Leute und der König abzuschwächen. Zuerst haben sie mit den Leuten näher der König konspiriert. Aber warum haben Sie der König betrügt? Für nichts als die Macht, dass die Briten versprochen haben - falsche Versprechungen, haben sie später realisiert. In der Geschichte wird es meldet, dass die Briten sogar für den König Alkohol als Geschenke eingeführt haben und deshalb haben der König süchtig nach Alkohol geworden. Langsam hat der König das Vertraut der Leute verloren und der König hat sich gegen die Gesellschaft gewendet. Alles war auf dem Grund, dass die Briten und die Komplizinnen Macht brauchen. Der König hat total verrückt geworden und viele wichtige Personen wie Politiker, Kinder und Mönche enthauptet. Blind vor Zorn, hat die Bevölkerung den Briten für Aushilfe gefragt, und hat sich nicht mehr das Königreich verteidigt. Es ist klar ersichtlich, dass die Briten der Zorn der Leute entfacht haben und haben die Leute und König aufeinanderhetzt. Sie sind gerade die Gewinne eingefahren und der Rest ist doch eine ganz andere Geschichte.

How do I overcome this deep depression?
How do I overcome this deep depression? I don't know why. Other people can give an advice but not myself.
I just got depression yesterday and I feel very bad because I got very bad feedback from life in the whole day. Let me tell you one by one from my own story and how I defeat the depression. Opinion always be the first: You need to build a strong mindset and the most reliable person is yourself, only yourself.
I am doing my internship in a big company in China. And I forgot to attend the weekly meeting in the morning yesterday when I am falling in my work. My mentor or leader (actually he doesn’t want me to call him mentor) told me:” Dude, you are working. You can go home to work if you play the single game.” I thought everyone and big boss are mad but I get to know nobody noticed this and the meeting is not a big deal, but I get the bad feedback from my leader, his attitude is bad when he was talking with me. This was the first bad thing for me.
I am a sophomore at a top university in Malaysia, and I keep a not bad grade as a 2 times dean’s list holder. I am confident and complacent. I was preparing for a presentation and I thought my work is great, dr is mad when I finished my presentation. He said I am out of the topic because I was promoting a to B product called lark but he wants me to promote a consumer product. I don’t understand why to B product is not a consumer product. And I was debating with him, he told me I will get low marks if I still stick that. This was the second bad thing for me.
I got two fails in one day. In further, I have deep depression and was very unhappy whole day. However, I was very happy today.
How do I do? I have changed my mindset.
At the beginning, I try to share my sadness to my friends but It doesn’t work even if my friend comforted me. I only feel unhelpful when I finished my complaint and grumble. I actually overcome the obstacles when I told myself I should be a strong person like Kobe, learbon James, and Jordan.
“Don’t easily explore your gentle and vulnerable side to people no matter who they are. Try to digest and process the bad matter yourself. And only you can save yourself in the situation. You might ask, what if I can not? I am sorry I have to say:” You have to do that because this is the course of growing up.”
There should be some people who have experienced the same journey like us. We only be more strong and strong that we can survive in the suffering. And I believe you can do it.
Everyone is a lonely and lovely island. I believe you are the strong one!

El hermano lento
Mi mejor amigo tiene un hermano menor que siempre se ha mantenido un poco aislado. Además se comportaba de manera extraña a veces. Creo que lo consentían demasiado cuando era joven, lo cual estorbó su desarrollo de autoestima y sentido de responsabilidad. En la escuela le costaba despabilarse por lo cual se demorraba bastante en prepararse para la escuela. Resultaba que mi amigo llegaba tarde a menudo porque su madre llevaba los dos en coche y el menor era muy lento en salir de la casa. Después de matricularse a la universidad siguío viviendo en casa con sus padres en vez de mudarse a un residencia universitaria. Es donde los adolescentes normalmente aprenden a cuidarse y hacer las tareas que los padres normalmente hacen para los hijos cuando aún están en casa. Mi amigo me contó una vez que pilló a su hermano pegado a la televisión desayunando y cuando le preguntó que estaba haciendo porque suponía que él debería estar yendo a clase, le respondió que no lo sabía.

En janvier, on avait un examen formatif et j’étais en retard pour 5 mins et donc étais refusée de le passer. Aujourd’hui, c’est le même examen mais cette fois-ci, la note est compté pour déterminer si on peut entrer dans la classe supérieure. Je suis très à l’heure aujourd’hui et je suis arrivée 30 minutes tôt pour éviter la tragédie. Mais cette fois-ci, il y a un camarade qui est en retard pour 10 minutes et on doit tous attendre pour lui pour commencer. En attendant pour ce camarde, j’ai demandé à les soignants dentaires pourquoi il n’était pas refusé pour un retard de 10 minutes tandis que j’étais refusé pour un retard de 5 mins mais elles m’ont simplement répondu que j’étais très en retard la dernière fois et que l’examen avait déjà commencé la dernière fois quand je suis arrivée, sans autre explication. Quelle drôle idée ! De plus, un de mes camarades m’a accusé pour être si non-gentile.
Je pense que si elles m’avaient dit que « parce que cet examen est plus important que la dernière fois », je l’accepterais. Mais pour une explication comme ça, je crois qu’on me doit une apologie. C’est injuste mais en tout cas, c’est comme ça dans cette faculté. Moi, en tant qu’étudiante, ne peux rien changer.

Policier autochtone
Récemment, j’ai abonné à une application qui s’appelle ici tou.tv. C’est un peu comme Netflix, mais avec les films et séries québécoises. Je l’aime beaucoup.
Mon plan de match avec cette application c’est de regarder beaucoup de contenu québécois. Je trouve que quand j’écoute beaucoup de français mon expression a l’orale s’améliore naturellement.
Une des séries qui j’ai commencé a regardé s’appelle “policier autochtone”. C’est une documentaire qui suivre les vies de douze policiers autochtones et qu’est ce qu’ils font au quotidien. La plupart de ces gens à grandir sur la réserve où il travaille et ça ajoute un élément de difficulté parce que parfois ils doit gérer les personnes qu’ils connaissent très bien.
Je viens juste de finir le premier épisode, alors j’ai pas grandes choses à dire. Cependant, je vais vous tenir au courant.

La batalla para el agua
El agua es algo que todos nosotros necesitamos para vivir. Afortunadamente, vivimos en el único planeta conocido en que el agua existe en todas sus formas: el hielo, el agua líquida y el vapor. No obstante, casi el 97% del agua es salada, y del 3% del agua dulce que eso nos queda, la mayoría está atrapada en los glaciares. Por lo tanto, uno de nuestros desafíos más grandes ahora es el acceso al agua limpia para todos, ya que en muchos lugares le cuesta mucho a la gente encontrar fuentes de agua potables que pueden usar.
A primera vista, el cambio climático se puede parecer como la solución a nuestros problemas. El hielo de los glaciares, la mayoría del cual es agua dulce, se vuelve en líquido que entonces todos podemos beberla. Perfecto ¿verdad? Pues no, la verdad es que el cambio climático, como muchos ya sabían, solo va a hacer más difícil la tarea de hacer más accesible las fuentes de agua potable. Las sequías van a intensificar, mala noticia para los lugares en que venga la lluvia con las estaciones, como en las áreas que rodean el océano índico, o los que obtengan su agua potable de los ríos. El acceso al agua potable ya causa muchas guerras, especialmente en los lugares donde no hay mucha, y el cambio climático solo va a aumentar estos conflictos.

Les vélos électriques
Comme j’ai mentionné dans le message précédent, je travaille dans un magasin de sports. Nous vendons plusieurs genre de vélos, mais les vélos électriques sont très populaires. Aujourd’hui, je vais essayer de décrire les 3 styles de vélos qu’on vend et à qui ils conviennent.
Le premier genre de vélo c’est hybride. C’est pour quelqu’un qui veulent faire du vélo sur les pistes cyclable. Il a une géométrie très confortable et relaxe. Ce que je veux dire par ça c’est que la selle est beaucoup plus bas que le guidon. Le résultat c’est que l’utilisateur est dans une position très droit avec presque aucune stress sur son dos. En plus, la selle est très large et molle. En général, les personés qui veulent acheter ces vélos cherche pas la performance. Ils veulent quelque chose qui est confortable est facile à utiliser.
Le deuxième genre de vélo c’est les vélos tout terrain. C’est fait pour la performance. La selle est presque au même niveau que le guidon et l’utilisateur est dans une position de puissance. Ils on l’option de pédaler tout seule ou ils peuvent utiliser l’assistance. La selle est plus étroite et aussi plus dure. Vous pouvez utiliser ce vélo hors piste ou sur les pistes cyclables. En général, ces vélos sont plus chers que les hybrides.
Le dernier style c’est les “fat bike” électriques. La géométrie est similaire à celui des vélos tout terrain. Ce qui sépare ces vélos c’est les pneus. Ils sont beaucoup plus larges. Vous pouvez utiliser ce vélo pendant l’été, mais c’est vraiment fait pour l’hiver. A cause de la largeur des pneus il flotte dans la neige.
C’est vraiment le fun de vendre les vélos électriques.

Erdnuss-Schokoladekuchen
Letzter Woche habe ich einen Kuchen für den Geburtstag meines Freundes gebacken. Er war hauptsächlich aus Schokolade aber habe auch den Kuchen halbiert und darauffolgend einen Erdnussbutter in der Mitte und in auf der Oberseite gelegt. Dieser Erdnussbutter habe ich selbst aus richtigen Erdnuss gemacht, ich habe ihn nicht schon zubereitet gekauft. Daher glaube ich, dass es gesünder war.
Mein Freund hat also Zuckerprobleme und dadurch habe ich den Kuchen mit Splenda gemacht, keinen Rohrzucker. Er war richtig lecker und ihm hat er geschemkt!

Ich habe mehr studieren sollen. Ich habe meine Mutter kummern. Richting horen zu ihre Unterhaltungen. Ich habe nicht allem vertrauen sollen. Ich habe richtig was ich mag finden sollen.

A simple film review: Everything Everywhere All at Once
I have watched a film called Everything Everywhere All at Once with my friends today, I would like to share some feelings with you all. This article is not a professional film review, but some personal impression after watching.
From my point of view, the plot of this story is not attractive and intriguing. A typical middle-aged woman has encountered different kinds of difficulties including divorce, pressure and expectations from her father, arrgument with her draughter and financial Pressure. Someday, her husband who has been controlled by another him from another universe tells her that she is the one to save the muti-universes. Actually, the big boss is her draughter from another universy, but turn out the big boss does not want to destroy the muti-universes but herself, so the main actress needs to save her draughter with love. At the end of the moive, the main actress saves her draugher sucessfully and everything in her life goes well. My friends laughed a couple of times during watching the moive, but I found this plot a little boring. The muti-universes, the hero's journey, the mid-life crisis and the family affair, they are nothing new for me.
After the bad side, there are something I really appreaited. The main actress and her draugher have a fight and conversation, and traval through different unvierses at the sometime. I love the scene that they travel to an universay withou living beings, they become two stones and talk to each other without making sounds. Can you imagine the scene that there are no any sonds in the room and all of us just kept quiet and watched the subtitles and the two stones just like wathing comics, so we could know what the two stones talk about. This scene is quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Also, the visual effects and music is quite good. I can not decribe the visual effects due to the limiation of my vocabulary and literary level. Personally, I thougth thoese visual and sound effects are suitable for movie theaters insead of wathing at home. Honestly, I enjoyed the visual effets more than the plots.
Tomorrow, I am going to watch another film called Some Like It Rare. I hope this film will give me some fresh idea for me. Could you recommend some films for me?

Les cases de l'Onyar
Last Saturday, how I had told last week, we were in Girona in a USK meeting. Congratulation to the organization of the meet, because it was perfect. The day was great, with a good weather and a beautiful city waiting us. This city has a lot of emblematics spots, one of them is "Les cases de l'Onyar". Onyar is the river that passes through Girona, with plenty of colorfull houses to its sides. We spent the morning drawning this fabulous houses. Is incredible the amount of details you see when you are drawing and usually don't see. At lunch we would were resting a bit of sun and we ate a burger, and "patatas bravas" with a big beer, that were delicious. Later, we were sightseeing by city and drawing a little more, and a last, to go to the station to take our train to back to Barcelona. This was a great journey, but we finished very tired.

Quelles sont les 7 choses qui me rendent heureuse ?
Bon en fait, ça dépend : quand je suis dans le milieu de l’année scolaire, les choses qui me rendent heureuse sont tout simplement un repos bien mérité, un café accompagné par un morceau de gateau ou une glace, ou bien une soirée de film ; mais quand c’est les vacances d’été, ces choses-là deviennent une habitude, alors il me faut autres choses plus specials pour me rendre vraiment heureuse, par exemple un séjour à l’hôtel ou bien un voyage !
Mais en tout cas, il y a trois choses qui me toujours rendent heureuse : l’apprentissage de nouvelles choses, une bonne tasse de thé et une bonne discussion !

Au travail
Aujourd’hui, pendant que je travaillais dans la salle des professeurs, quelqu’un m’a appelé de derrière mon dos. Quand je me tourné la tête, j’ai vu l’assistante de la crèche. Elle souriait et m’a demandé si j’avais bien reçu la note qu’elle a laissé dans mon casier. J’ai dit que non, et nous somme allés tous les deux pour le chercher. Elle avais écrit la note en anglais, ce qui m’a surpris parce qu’elle est japonaise et je ne savais pas qu’elle puisse écrire si bien en anglais, sa troisième langue après sa language maternelle et le français. Sa note a dit que, puisque ce mercredi sera la dernière classe de français, elle a voulu recueillir des fonds et acheter une écharpe verte pour l’enseignant. Elle a inclue aussi une petite feuille de papier pour écrire une note de remerciement. Je trouvais son plan très gentil et je lui ai donné l’argent et la note tout de suite. J’espère que, avec cette acte, on peut faire comprendre à notre professeur à quel point on apprécie ses leçons.

Das Haus
Meine neue Wohnung ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Sie ist ungefähr fünfundfünfzig Quadratmeter und kostet fünfhundertfünfzig Euro. Sie hat ein Wohnzimmer, ein Bad, eine Küche, eine Toilette und ein Balkon. Das Balkon und Die Küche sind klein. Leider hat das Bad kein Fenster. Mag ich besonders das Wohnzimmer. Meine Frau und ich suchen Möbel aus.

Kind und Beruf
Könnten Sie bitte meine Fehler korrigieren? Danke im Voraus.
Es gibt verschiedene Meinungsäußerung in unserem Deutschkurs über das Thema “Kinder und Beruf“. Mit der ersten Meinung bin ich nicht überein, weil in letzter Zeit die Frauen erfolgreicher werden und die Karriere genauso wie Männer voranbringen können, um ehrlich zu sein ist das in jemandem unterschiedlich. Selbstverständlich die Kinder und Karriere zu vereinbaren ist nicht einfach. Aber manche Frauen profitieren davon, wie die zweite Äußerung! Babypause gibt der Frauen eine große Möglichkeit damit sie sich auf dem Laufenden bleiben. Ich selber bevorzuge ein Vorbild für mein Kind zu sein, deswegen stammt dieses Bild, das in vielen Köpfen einige der Menschen sitz, aus dem Mittelalter. Das Bild definiert eine gute Mutter als eine Person, die alles zugunsten des Kindes zurückstellen. Ich finde es eine schwierige Zwickmühle, besonders in meinem Heimatland. Aber zum Glück werden die Frauen meines Landes tageweise starker und sie verzichten sogar nach dem Geburt ihren Kindern auf ihre Berufe oder Studium nicht. Sie gestalten ihr Leben hervorragend und arbeiten zu Hause und auch außer dem Haus. Die dritte Meinung äußert, dass die Männer und Frauen in ihrem Beruf bessere Chancen und flexible Arbeitszeiten brauchen. Natürlich spielt diese Sache eine große Rolle in ihrem Leben. Je mehr sie bessere flexible Arbeitszeiten haben, umso locker werden sie. Und das Kind braucht eine ruhige Stimmung um zu ziehen.
Als meine Nichte geboren ist, hatte meine Schwester für 9 Monate lang Freistellung. Das war ein gutes Chance für sie sich um ihr Kind zu kümmern. Die Regeln bezüglich des Berufs sind überall anders. In meinem Land können Frauen normalerweise 6-9 Monate und Männer in einigen Situationen ungefähr 14 Tage nach dem Geburt ihres Kindes frei haben. Am Ende möchte ich hinzufügen, dass die Eltern den besten Entschluss für ihr Kind fassen können. Manche Leute bevorzugen sich ihren Kindern und Familien hinzugeben und anderen sind beide die Karriere und Familie wichtig. Meines Erachtens beeinträchtigen die Kinder keine Karriere, es geht um Priorität und Entscheidungen.

列を作て並ぶこと
ベトナムと日本には習慣の違いが多くあ る。その中の一つは列を作って並ぶことの習慣だ。私の国では電車やバスなどに乗るとき、スーパーのレジのときは列を作って並ばない人も少なくない。人々は公共の場所で喧嘩したり、押し合ったり、間違った場所に立ったりする。私も時々そのような習慣になっている。
なぜ、そのような習慣になるのだろうか。その理由は三つある。第一は列を作って並ぶとき、個人的な意識が薄いことだ。誰もが自分の利益のために、いい場所を一つ見つけたい。第二は彼らが時間を無駄にすることなく、優先順位をつけたいことだ。第三は人々はよく列を作って並ぶことは大切ではないと考えるということだ。また、そのような習慣を減らすために、法律には適切な措置がない。
それに対して、日本人はマナーよく列に並ぶことは世界でもよく知られている。高齢化から子供にかけて、電車やバスに乗るとき、スーパーのレジなども列を作って順番に並んで持つ。なぜなら、それは日本人にとって日常生活の一部となっているからだ。さらに列に並ぶことは日本の教育の中で重要な位置を占めている。
ベトナムと日本も習慣が違うが、この習慣の日本の通りに勉強したほうがいいと思う。なぜなら、列を作って並ぶことはいいマナーの文化だと思う

約束の時間を守ること
ベトナムと日本には習慣の違いが多くあ る。その中の一つは約束の時間を守ることだ。私の国の人々は約束の時間を守ることがあまり大切ではないと思う。そのようなことは友達と出たり、誰かの結婚式に参加したりなどをするとき、よく逢っている。約束の時間は5〜１０分遅れる人がいるし、それに３０分まで遅れる人も少なくない。
どうして、そのようにするになるのだろうか。その理由はベトナム人の労働習慣の一つになっていることだ。人々はもともとそのような習慣は普通だと思っている。そして、彼らが遅れた場合、彼らは彼らの遅刻を説明するために多くの言い訳を使うだろう。例えば、道が込んでいることや交通事故が起ることなどだ。
一方、日本では約束などの時間を守るのは大切なルールの一つになっている。彼らは約束の時間より早く着いている。それはデートやミーティングなどで相手にいい印象を与える。時間を守らない場合は自分だけの問題ではなく、自分の仕事と他人を巻き込んで迷惑をかけることになるから。
ベトナムと日本の習慣から、自分にとって約束の時間を守るのは大切だと分かる。なぜなら、仕事かどんなことの中に時間を守らなければ、チャンスとお金を消えると思う

Les casques de vélo
Je travaille à un magasin de sports et parfois je dois vendre les casques de vélo. Ici, je vais essayer de décrire le processus que je suivre pour aider quelqu’un à choisir un casque.
Pour commencer c’est important de comprendre qu’au point de vu de la sécurité les casques plus chers sont pas nécessairement plus sécuritaires. Ils vont être plus légers, plus confortables et ils vont respirer mieux. Vous pouvez utiliser un casque pour un maximum de 5 ans. Après ça c’est fortement recommandé d’acheter un autre. Le seule exception c’est si vous avez une chute. Dans ce cas vous devez le remplacer immédiatement.
Après ça j’essaie de déterminer quel genre de vélo le client veut faire. En général il y a deux styles de casques qu’on vendre. Les casques pour faire de vélo de montagne et vélo de route. Si le casque a une palette ou visière c’est faite pour faire de vélo de montagne. En plus ces casques vont descendre plus bas en arrière pour offrir plus de protection.
