Londres et sa culture culinaire
L'autre jour mon mari et moi avons fait a voyage à Londres. Personnellement, je m'y étais déjà rendue en famille 20 ans avant, cette fois-là également en voyage, mais je ne garde rien en mémoire à ce propos. J'imagine que ça aurait dû être un peu pénible pour ma mère d'emmener deux petits enfants à l'étranger. On dirait qu'un enfant est toujours comme ça : il oublie tout ce que les parents ont fait quand il était petit.
Mon mari et moi connaissons assez bien les clichés qui entourent la culture culinaire anglaise, comme le font les Français. Même si on ne le connaissait pas, ça se verrait par le marché alimentaire en France, par exemple le scone. J'ai déjà écrit ici plusieurs fois qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de magasins et restaurants qui proposent des scones avec de la clotted crème, la manière authentique de s'en délecter. Les deux pays sont bien proches, géographiquement et historiquement, mais la France n'a pas vraiment importé la nourriture anglaise, alors qu'à Londre, les citoyens aiment bien la gastronomie française. Il me semble que c'est un amour sens unique, pour lequel la raison est très claire. Le niveau de la richesse de la culture culinaire est trop différent, voire incompatible. Quand j'ai cheché des spécialités de chaque pays, la différence a été effarente : la couleur, la décoration, le nombre du type de specialités, le sytle, etc.
Pendant la promenade, j'ai perçu de nombreux restaurants proposant « fish and chips », ce qui est un plat tradtionnel typiquement anglais. Selon les articles que j'ai lus, écrit par des Japonaises qui avaient résidé longtemps à Londres, les chips contitunent bel et bien un accompagnement de repas : ce ne sont pas le simple goûter pour 16h (en fait en Angleterre c'est 15h, la même qu'au Japon).
Moi, en tant que fan de scones, j'ai profité de cette occasion d'acheter beaucoup de scones et de clotted crème. Depuis la sortie du supermarché M&S (plus précisément seuls les grands, les petits existent encore dans des gares ou des aéroports), j'avais toujours du mal à les trouver. Il doit y avoir une multitude de raisons pour haïr le Brexit selon chacun, et pour moi, ces deux nourritures sont les raisons principales.

A career in music or acting
Musician and actor professions have similar advantages and disadvantages, due to the fact they are both related with arts careers.
The main advantage is that they are strongly vocational jobs. Generally this makes the job more enjoyable. Furthermore, if you are successful, you can become a star, be a celebrity and make a fortune. An extra perk is that generally actors and musicians travel a lot, so that is a good way to meet new people and learn from another cultures.
Nevertheless is really difficult to stand out as an actor or a musician, even if you train for years. In this case, one big disadvantage is that neither of them are usually well paid jobs. Moreover they are jobs that tend not to be so stable like others.
In summary, although they can be tough occupations, they give great opportunities and they should be chosen if you are really into them.

Gesprächig oder wortkag?
Manche sind schwatzhaft wie eine Elster, manche sind immer schweigen wie ein Gral. Natürlich gibt es viele verschiedene Verhaltensweisen inzwischen. Heute möchte ich trotzdem diese Nuance vergessen und genau die beide extreme Charaktere diskutieren, denn ich habe darauf eine feste Meinung.
Ich persönlich fühle mich wohler mit Leute, die ständig sprechen. Ein Gespräch kann lang dauern, das stört mich keinenfalls. Ich bin, vielleicht nicht die Königin, aber zumindest eine Profi vom leichten Sprechen und geduldigen Zuhören. In Frankreich kann ich ohne Müde vom " Regen und schönen Wetter" quatschen. Dabei können wir unsere Reaktionen beobachten und uns besser kennenlernen.
Im Gegenteil befürchte ich, wenn jemand sich seltsam ausdrückt. Wenn die Person grüblerisch ist, warum bleibt sie mit mir?! Ich habe jetzt den Eindruck, dass er/sie gefühllos ist, oder sogar urteilt mich, und dass ich nichts von ihm/sie lernen kann. Selbstverständlich ist es nicht der Tat. Das sind nur meine eigene Unsicherheiten, die sich äußern.
Da die Mitglieder meiner Familie redefreudig sind, weisse ich, dass meine Erziehung auch gültig ist. Und zwar, die Kultur auch spielt eine große Rolle. Wie wäre es, wenn ich in Finland leben würde (/lebte?), wo Leute den Ruf haben, nur die wichtigste Sache zu sagen? Für mich, eine Katastrophe! Für die Andere, eine Langweile! Aber vielleicht würde ich letztig lernen, bei jemandem ohne zu sprechen standen. Was für einen merkwürdigen Gedanken!
P.S.: Gesprächig zu sein hat mir mit der Verfassung geholfen. Hoffensichtlich ist aber der Text nicht zu lang! ;D

Asking the boss for a raise
Dear Mr boss,
I am glad to report that the sales increased by 15 %. The reason lies within our team and our work ethics. Everybody contributes to the company with their knowledge and proffessionalism so we can grow beyond ourselves and therefore enrich the company.
As a result, there are strong indicators for raising the salary for others in my team and for me.
First of all, my profession is quite specialized and needed because I garantee the functionality of difficult processes within the company whereas nobody has a special training for this . It is therefore inevitable having somebody like me.
Because of the high demand of such workers like me, different companies, who see my worth, have offered me a job.I still have not answered to these offers.
I am looking forward to disscussing upon mutual agreement about the salary with you that will depict my worth for the company in a more appropriate manner so I can decline these companies` offers.

Ландыш
Сегодня, я со семьей собирали ландыша – по глобалному потеплению, он цветёт все скорее каждый год! Мы знаем место в лесу, где он расёт.
Я уже написал текст объясняющий, что первого мая есть Праздник труда, и что по этому случаю, есть традиция во Франции дарить друг другу несколько ростков ландыша. Сегодня, к сожалению, все меньшее людей ассоцируют день превого мая с работниками, но обычай ландыша остался до сегодняшего дня. Это растение симболизирует везение ; это манера желать кому-то "удачы!" Но в общем, дарить ландыша друзям или семье — просто действие любезности.
Я очень люблю белые колокольчики цветков. Более того, они пахнут очень хорошо. Сейчас, ландыш украшает наш дом, и свой прекрасный, чарующий запах распространился везде в комнатах!

Aktivitäten auf meinem Balkon.
Ich bin so glücklich, dass ich einen Balkon habe! Er hat keinen Dach, so ist er nicht vom Wind und Schnee geschützt. Im Winter ist er nutzlos. Aber er ist nach SüdOst orientiert und bekommt dabei genug Sonne, um im Sommer welche Pflanzen anzubauen. (, um er zu begrünen?)
Deswegen habe ich große "erdegefüllte1" Töpfe installiert, und zwar eine kleine Kompostkiste. Ich mache das mit ernsthaft : es riecht nicht und ich treibe nicht nur Gemüsepflanzen und Kräuter, sondern auch dekorative schöne Blumen, die auch essbar sind ! Die Nachbarn haben keinen Grund zu beschweren.
Auf meinem Balkon gibt es keinen Tisch, kein Sofa, keine Stuhle. Neue Balkonmöbeln sind oft teuer und ohne Auto kann ich nicht sperrige Sachen aus Kleinanzeigen abholen. Es ist mir egal. Wenn das Wetter angenehm ist, verwende ich Kissen und eine Decke, um mich bequem zu sitzen. Danach lese ich oder schreibe ich auf Deutsch.
Leider hat mein Balkon ein riesiger Fehler: Meine Nachbarn rauchen. Die Rauche geht hoch direkt an mich und ich muss weg, alle die Fenster zumachen, und ein paar Minuten warten, bis sie vorbei sind. Ich hasse wirklich die Zigaretterauche, es ist kein Schertz, sie stört mich, ich kann sie nicht ertragen ! Leider ist es so ungefähr drei- oder viermal pro Stunde. Oft habe ich einfach keine Lust, etwas das lang dauert zu anfangen.
Trotz dieses Problems bin ich damit immer zufrieden, wenn beim Kochen ich ein paar "balkongewächste"2 Kräuter ernten kann. Und meine Katze genieß ihren Lieblingszeitvertreib : " ich will draus... jetzt will ich drin. Ok, nun, draus. Bitte lass mich drin!...usw..."

FRIENDSHIP
There is no doubt that friendship is important in our individual life and human society. Greek philosopher Aristotle once said, "no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods." We also usually say" A bosom friend after brings a distant land near" in Chinese proverb to emphasize the importance of friendship.
To some degree, our total life is a period where we make new friends continuously, than we are bound to explore a new world, standing outside our comfort zone. No one likes to stay alone for a long time, and we all longing for company which the friendship just brings about. When you meet the trouble, ask your friends for help no matter in studying, working, or in life with your special connection.
The real friends would trust and understand each other. In ancient Chinese, there is a story, saying"A person named Yu Boya who had superb musical skill came across a woodcutter named Zhong Ziqi who can understand what his music expressed exactly. When Zhong Ziqi died, Yu Boya broke his guzheng and didn't play it ever since."
You should keep away from those who only make use of you instead helping you or hold your mistakes against you instead putting themselves in your shoes. That's not real friendship.

I Bought a Book
I bought a book named " The Vocabulary Detective". It is a pocket book that I'am just begining to read it and seems interesting. The reading is pleasant, and after to read the first pages, I have a good impresion about it. The writer is a journalist, author and teacher, so I think he knows about he is talking. The book topic is to help to readers to get a skills for guess the meaning of some unknows words. This can be very usefull when in a reading, you found a word that you don't know, and don't have a dictionary near you.

Je parle toujours que je m'en fiche les regards des autres, mais aujourd'hui pendant le cours d'extraction, je me suis enfin rendu compte que j'ai été influencée par les regards de mes professeurs, plus precisement comment ils me jugeaient. Quand les professeurs pensent que je suis capable, je ferrai mieux. Mais au contraire, quand ils n'ont pas de bonne impression sur moi, je serais plus stressée parce que j'ai peur d'entendre leur dérison quand je fais de chose bête, et ce sera donc plus facile de commitre une erreur dans la pression. Je n'étais pas très contente aujourd'hui parce qu'un de mes prof m'a pris comme une betise et donc je n'ai fait pas comme d'habitue. Après le cours, je me disais : "Il dit ce qu'il veut mais je choisierai à entrendre que la bonne la prochaine fois et je focaliserai que dans mon tâche parce que personne ne peut pas me faire sentir inférior sans ma permission. Because this presentation was for other offices, so I faced a lot of new terms to understand.
For about six weeks, I learned a lot while preparing presentation materials.
Thanks for my co-workers, I could finally finish the presentation material and gave it to our presenter.
I could see different aspects of works in my company during preparing.

What is one thing you don't talk about much but should?
I should talk some words to express my grateful feelings honestly whenever I meet the people and friends I love. I don’t usually express my feelings fully to others because that makes me feel a little bit awkward even if I want. I am not sure whether you will have these feelings if you do that as westerners, but we don’t usually express our feelings directly as Chinese, though our young generation starts to break the unconscious rule.
I am regretting not expressing my feelings directly in those important moments of my life. Time has just gone and never waits for us, we should childish our time, especially those moments we can warm others and let them know we love them.
As I remember, I loved a cute and kind girl when I was in junior middle school. I liked to watch her quietly as a shy boy, and I fully admired her because she is very kind. I usually saw She often helped other classmates to teach them how to solve academic questions. That is really attractive to me. As time goes by, we went to different high schools after that, and we still keep emailing occasionally. We talked about the dream, flowers, and the future but we never talked about “love.” I am sure she loved me, and she wouldn’t keep contacting with me otherwise, but there is no love expressed between us because I was a coward. Also, I get to know she said she love me by her friends someday.
To your disappointment, right now I saw she post some photos on social apps in which she is happy and traveling with her boyfriend. I also have my girlfriend now. Will we have a love story if I was braver and said I love her? Nobody knows the answer, maybe not, but I feel regret I was not brave.
Ok, I just want to tell you that we should be braver in saying love to those lovely people around us by this story. Luckily, I am brave now and express my honest feelings all the time. Hope you are also.

21. April - Umzug
Hier sind die Sache, die ich muss betrachten muss, vor meinen Umzug.
Ich darf unbedingt meinen Küchentisch verkaufen. Ich muss meine Umzugskartons, die nicht zu schwer für die Möbelpacker sein sollen, packen. Ich darf die Internetanbieter anrufen, bevor sie uns die Internet unterbricht. Wir sollen die meisten Nahrungsmittel, die wir schon haben, essen versuchen. Ich muss die Schlüssel zur Vermieterin zurückgeben. Wir müssen ganz und gar die Wohnung putzen. Ich darf wirklich meine Reifen wechseln. Ich darf einen Tierwärter, der meine Katze betreuen will, finden. Ich hätte nicht an diesen wichtigen Moment des Jahres diese Vorträge zu leiten akzeptieren sollen.

wie geht's dir? Ich hoffe, es geht dir gut. Schon, dass du einen Kollegen in deinem Büro hast. Ich schlage vor, dass du ihm mit deinem Arbeitskollegen helfen, durch Zusammenarbeiten oder in eine kleine Gruppe. Ich arbeite am liebsten in einer Gruppe, weil ich mit Gruppen viel Energie macht und die Lebenskraft zu arbeiten. Wenn ich aus dem Urlaub wieder bekomme, suchte ich danach eine neue Arbeit, da ich mit letztem Job nicht zufrieden bin. Bei mir gibt es immer neu, vor kurzem habe ich ein neues Laptop gekauft, das wünsche ich immer, besonders in schwarze Farbe und von Samsung Typ.

Premièrement, mon français est très grâve, alors, j'espère que c'est pas de problème 😥
Hier, j'avais un jour ennui.
Je suis allée à l'école depuis 7h à 19h. À l'école, j'étais beaucoup de matières comme les mathématiques, la biologie, le Tamoul, l'anglais et la littérature. J'ai fait beaucoup de exercises et blanc examens ('mock exams'? i forgot how to say that 😭) pour préparer pour des examens à semaine prochaine. Donc, j'étais très stressée et fatiguée.
Après mes cours à l'école, je suis allée à les cours de français, et j'ai fait plus de pratiques.
À la fin de journée, j'ai regardé 'Gilmore Girls' sur internet.
Enfin, je me dormais à 23h. C'était trop ennuyée mais vraiment fatiguée.

My English Diary

Today is the first day of my new English diary. My aim is to improve my English a lot - both wirtten and spoken. I am going to write down some random notes from my day-to-day life, rather then essays.
Today I have four appointments, three of them with my colleagues. I have to discuss some important matters concerning our projects with them. I also have to prepare data for invoices.
I feel quite tired today. Maybe it is caused due poor sleep today - my girlfriend had cough at night.

Today is my second day of my English diary. I try to make a habit of it. This morning I have no meetings so I have time to finish some tasks which require deep focus.
I is quarter past ten and I have not done any of tasks I mentioned above yet :-( I only solve problems, one after another.
Now there is a calm moment. I will have a cup of coffee and try to finish some emails.
It was quite demanding work-day today. Unfortunatelly I did not managed what I wanted to do. I hope tomorrow I will finally manage to reduce my backlog.

" better to have loved and lost than never to have loved...
Love is ubiquitous. Songs and other media tell us that love is a goal worth achieving. People are saying that love is inherently good so we should thrive it. I think that this notion is naive.
The citation conveys the impression that people should long for love instead of not loving at all. it even goes further. The saying claims that love itself outweighs the loss of it.
The message of this saying is in my opinion misleading.
First, love is a narcisisstic force. I think about love as a fixation on a person which is replaceable. After loosing love ,people are searching for love again. The person longs for another object to satisfy the intense urge to reexperience the thrill again. This state of mind is neither good nor bad. But it allows to progress my argumentation.
If people love somebody , there will be often the fear of loosing it. When we think about love ,then we also think about loosing " the love of my life". The media contributes to this notion by singing about their "loved" person who left them. In Addition, nearly every soap-opera ,for instance Greys Anatomy, creates their "thrilling" storyline with "failed love".
We are all the time confronted with love in its negation (lack of love).
People want love and are searching for it. When they find it, they want to perpetuate it. Therefore people who have loved, are stuck in a perpetuating circle. They want to replicate the same conditions when they first felt this feeling/ met the object of love. People who never loved are not in a perpetuating circle. They stand outside thus they can observe the lovers from a different point of view.
The saying implies that love can be lost. But should an "intimate" relationship be a fleeting one ? Loosing someone means that a person or both come to the conclusion that the condition where they are now does not correspond with the situation while they had met each other. We can say that this love is embedded in (unconcious) narcisissitic conditions ("Fulfill me !"). If the conditions are not fulfilled , the relationship is "lost"
In my opinion it is not a kind of love that I want.
For me, people who are outside of this perpetuating circle have a higher chance having a relationship which fulfills more and is sustainable. For people inside ,it is more difficult.
The aim in my opinion should be finding "agape". Agape is a kind of love which is not narcisissitic. It is love that does not want something from the other person. It is unconditional love. This love is an ideal and it is questionable if somebody can attain it completely. Though the saying implies another type of love which is called "eros". It is passion ( In german we would say: "Leidenschaft ,die Leiden schafft"= passion which creates suffering) , it is a fleeting feeling. Sometimes agape and eros are mixed so it is difficult to differenciate.
A person who observes love from the outside does not confuse easily agape with eros like other people. Maybe, they do not experience the bitter sweet feeling of eros but they have a wider scope of thinking how they can attain a higher level of "forever lasting love" which the media tries to recreate unsuccsessfully.
