The listening content totally refutes the reading passage in the fact that impose high taxes on cigarettes and unhealthy food can be benefit of society. First of all, the reading mentions that raising taxes on unhealthy behaviors discourage people from doing it. Take cigarettes for example, smoking declines since taxes on cigarettes have risen. Also, impose taxes on unhealthy food can help reduce obesity rate. The listening, however, argues that the policy of higher taxes do not lead to healthier behavior, for example, high cigarettes taxes lead people to buy cheaper and low quality cigarettes which contain more unhealthy substances. Similarly, even though impose high taxes on unhealthy food, some people might continue to spend more money on unhealthy food which they prefer, so it would not benefit their health.
Secondly, the reading suggests that people who do the unhealthy behaviors increase medical costs that are covered by everyone who pays taxes. Taxing people who do the unhealthy behaviors create extra income that can use to cover the medical costs, so people, such as nonsmokers, can pursue a financially fair. Yet, the speaker from the listening passage points out the fact that taxes on unhealthy products are unfair because they do not take into account t people’s income. Suppose high-earning person and lower- earning person consume the same amount of cigarettes a day. Paying a high taxes will create a great burden for the lower earner than higher earner.
Lastly, the author says that impose high taxes on tobacco increases revenue for the government. The government can use the money to benefit public welfare. In contrast, the listening asserts that the government uses the revenue that has a downside. The government does not want to lose the million dollars, so it might not force to pursuing policies or law to eliminate unhealthy behaviors. For instance, it will allow people to smoke in public areas, such as park, since it does not want to lose the income.

I can’t get any mask wherever I go. Then, a friend who is good at sewing suggested that she would make me a mask. I recognized it's true that “Friends are necessary for life” as people say.🥺✨ I asked her to make 5 masks. I thought I would buy her a nice cake and drink set in return for it. Last night she messaged me that they were completed, so I met her today to get them. She said, “It's 500 yen for one mask.” Then, I paid 2,500 yen to her.
I thought again and found out that money is more necessary for life than friendship.😆

Have you heard about the new product everybody in the US seem to be obsessed with? Some people even claim it has already made a revolution and made lots of people skip meat. If you haven’t been deaf lately, you have probably guessed it right. Yep, it’s the Beyond meat branded artificial meat. Not only is it made out of plant protein, it’s also been specifically designed to taste like a real meat. Scientists have worked hard to imitate real meat’s texture, smell, outlook, color and even the change of color meat has while roasting. There was an interview showing the lab where all the characteristics have been measured, designed and tested. There were several departments of the lab: Texture, Smell, Color and Taste test.
Texture department. At the texture department they showed off their E-mouth machine which’s aim is to squeeze the ,,meat,, and to analyze the pressure applied. So that they know how close they are to the texture of a a true meat by comparing the chewing resistance. The’ve even added little white balls to simulate greasy look of the hamburger meat
At the Smell department their job is to extract separate elements which make real meat smell like one and try imitate it with different additions
The Color’s department role is to not only make it look like a real meat when on the shop window, but also change its color as one would expect when frying meat on a frying pan. It has to change its color and look like a real fried meat after cooking.
The taste test had to prove to convince the audience that this artificial meat is really worth buying and trying. Well then, we can now get to try it by ourselves since the meat is in front of us, on the table, as one of the components of the burger! Let’s put it into test with no further ado!
