Le minuterie Pomodoro, ça me force finir mes devoirs sans trop travailler mon cerveau, et en bloquant les sites web distrayants je ne suis pas tenté tergiverser. Cela me mène à être productif pendant la journée!

Al was thirtheen who lived in a little house with his parents. They had not got much money so their life was difficult.

Al loved music, he played the guitar and wrote songs in a band. Al's parents often came and listened to the songs of band.

Al's sister Lisa was born, she was very little so everyone was very busy and tired in the family. Al was said that he could not play the guitar in his home by his mother. He could not concentrate at school and forgot to do his homework.

One day, Al knew Lisa's heart was not good, she needed an operation quickly.
The operation was very expensive, Al needed more money to help Lisa.
Al was very sad and did not know how to get more money. His grandfather had an idea and asked Al to write a song for Lisa.

Al found his band friends to disscuss about the song for Lisa. They decided open gig to earn the money and created song on website for people download it.

Bloody Steaks

I hope I don't violate any community guidelines by telling this joke, but in case I do so, I hope Masemune will pardon me.

So here it goes:
A German tourist walks into a restaurant in New York.
When the waiter approaches him, he says:
"I want a bloody steak!"
The waiter answers:
"Very well, sir, do you also want some fucking fries or a goddamn salad to go with it?"

I don't know whether such a situation has ever really happened, but it's not unlikely.
When a steak is "rare" in English, it is "blutig" in German and that literally translates as "bloody" to English. German speakers who are not aware of how the word "bloody" can be used in English are likely to order "bloody steaks" in British or American restaurants.

I remember who told me this joke. It was my English teacher in secondary school who wanted to create awareness of false friends.

Ninguém protege o presidente

Umas semanas atrás, a polícia de Viena notou quatro pessoas que estavam sentados na área pública de um restaurante local já fechado, à uma hora da manhã. Houve um casal sentado juntos íntimamente como recem namorados que conversou com duas outras pessoas. Em tempos normais, isso é nada de particular. Mas os tempos não são normais e as quatro pessoas estavam violando o confinamento de Corona.

Quando os policiais se acercaram aos quatro delinquentes, notaram que o casal sentado íntimamente era o presidente da república e sua mulher. O presidente admitiu imediatamente de haver cometido um erro e pediu desculpas explicando que simplesmente se havia esquecido do tempo conversando com amigos que não havia encontrado durante muito tempo.

Embora este evento seja insignificante, o partido populista de direita lançou uma solicitão de informação no parlamento pedindo se a polícia multou o presidente. A polícia de Viena respondeu que na época se seguiu a estrategia de sensibilizar os cidadões sem multá-los, e que se aplicou essa estrategia no caso do presidente também.

Por que falo desse assunto?
Primeiro, penso que esta história (que é verdadeira) é muito simpática. O presidente é um ser humano mas também um político que admite um erro e pede desculpas, o que é raro hoje em dia.
Segundo, penso que certas coisas dão certo em certos paises. O chefe do estado austríaco pode estar sozinho na rua no meio da noite, e ninguém fica inquieto pela sua seguridade. Penso que uma situação dessas é impensável na maioria dos paises do mundo.

Come ho imparato il francese

Ho cominciato a imparare il francese un anno fa. All'inizio lo studiavo da solo, leggevo un sacco di manga in francese e guardavo i video su Youtube ogni giorno. Dopo 8 mesi, ho deciso di trovare un insegnante francese per migliorare più velocemente. A questo punto, ho anche iniziato a parlare di più e scrivere testi che sono contrassegnati dal mio insegnante. Lentamente, mi sentivo più a mio agio nell'esprimermi e sono riuscito a ottenere il DELF B2.

Adesso, spero di fare lo stesso in italiano ma più efficiente. Per esempio, ho cominciato a scrivere testi qui e parlare con i nativi solo dopo 2 mesi. È ovviamente una grande lotta per me e uso molto Google Translate però sento che sto migliorando molto più velocemente in questo modo.

Cómo aprendí a cuidar mi piel

Quería aprender sobre el cuidado de la piel después de visitar a una amiga el verano pasado. Ella me mostró todos sus productos y me enseñó cómo mantener el equilibrio de la piel.

Unos meses después, empecé a buscar más información sobre cuales ingredientes son los más importantes y en que orden se debe usar las cremas.

Ahora, tengo mi propia rutina. Estoy muy contenta con la condición de mi piel! Prefiero usar productos con pocos ingredientes. Antes de comprar algo, paso mucho tiempo leyendo las reseñas y comparándolo con las otras opciones. Creo que ha funcionado! Además de mejorar mi piel, establecer una rutina ha sido útil para prepararme a dormir cada noche.

今日面白い外来語の意味を見つかりました。英語で「ダイエット」はただ痩せたいから健全な食事を選択するの意味です。でも日本語で「ダイエット」はこの意味と運動の方に痩せます。確かにこれは些細な違いです。でも私にとって「ダイエット機械」はちょっと馬鹿らしいです。

Jak dojdu do práce (je to nudné, já vím)

Po létě a vloni jsem měla práci v resturaci. Často pracuju v odpolednech/večerech, takže občas to zavřu.

Vloni a od května do konce července aspoň jedu do práce autem rodičů protože nemám auto ani neumím řídit.

Nedávno ale jsem dostala kolo ze svého otce. Je to z své matky vlastně ale můj otec to upravilo. Dříve kolo vůbec nefungovalo.

Právě to je srpen (konkrétněji konec srpna. Září ublíží) a každý den když pracuju, nejedu autem. Jedu kolem.

Kolo není nejlepší (z 90. let) ale dojedu tam načase. Za ~25 minut jezdím na kole. Někdy delší, někdy krátší.

Ráda jezdím na kole. Obzvlášť když je vítr. Na mně to cítí tak dobře! A jsou dvě hory: Na cestě DO práce, první je stoupající kdežto druhá je sestupující. Naopak když se vratím domů.

Je to sranda, když sestupuju z hor. Jezdím tak rychle. Jediná věc, kterou nemám ráda o horách, je fakt, že když jezdím do kopce hory, věnuje se MNOHO energie z mě. Jako jsem velmi unavená a tkz. věci.

Tak někdy nejezdím kolem na cestě do kopce. Namísto jezdění, jdu pěšky (s kolem vedke mě) protože nemám energii. Vrátí se to mi když sestupuju do kopce ačkoli.

Der Karneval dauert 4 Tage und ist kostenlos. Er bietet die verschiedene Gruppen die Gelegenheit, ihre Kreativität, ihre Musik und ihre Tanzen zu demonstrieren. Die Szene zieht Unternehmen an, die liberalen Ideen wie Toleranz and Ökologie unterstützen. Nachhaltige Lebensmittel und Berlin Food Trucks sind dabei. Der Hochpunkt des Karnevals ist der grosse Strassenumzug mit 4000 Karnevalsakteur.

Die Teilnehmer sind immer begeistert und viel Spass wird gemacht.

Opportunity cost (機会費用）

昨日日本人の友達にopportunity cost (機会費用）の概念を教えました。機会費用とは、どんなことをしても時間や金のコストがあるということです。具体的に言えば、できなかったことはそのコストとなります。たとえば、一時間日本語を勉強したらその一時間で運動できない。新しい車を買ったら使った金を投資できなくなり、コストは得られるであろう利益や利子です。

この概念は便利とはいえ全てではないと思います。使ってしまった金や時間のコストをこのように計算したら幸せがきっと逃げるでしょう。それに、みんながいつもこのように考えたら訂正してくれる人はいなくなるような気がします（笑）。なぜなら訂正することで僅かとはいえ時間のコストがありますから。もしこの投稿を訂正するopportunity costは大きくなければ訂正していただけませんでしょうか。😝

The death penalty

I think the death penalty is not the best way, but it is still necessary.
From time to time, death penalty in japan has been questioned. Even though it has been under fire from the international right groups, the Japanese government have not abolished it and Japanese people are still permissive towards it. A poll conducted in 2014 shows that almost 80 per cent of the people think "the death penalty is inevitable." When they asked a reason, they replied, "if it were not for the death penalty, the victims and their family members cannot be at peace."
I believe there is another way, but I also think that that is what it is. Though resentment of victims cannot disappear, the punishment will be a kind of relief to them.

Commuting time

Most people are likely to consider commuting time as useless.
I don't think that way because you can cocentrate on reading a book, learning foreign language, or getting through your backlog of emails.
It takes one and a half hour to go to my office.

本が飽きた

今週は一度も本を読めなかった。前には毎日本を読み続けったが、最近全然やる気がない。私は今二つの本を読み始めた。面白いと思うけど、分からない言葉は多い。常に辞書で言葉を調べると面倒くさい。もう一週間以上本を読み止すから、内容も覚えるか覚えないか続けることは難しい。読み直すは退屈が、読み続けるも筋書きが思い出せない。
他の本は探しているが、読みたい本がなかなか見つかない。たまに面白そうな本があったとしても悪いレビューだらけだ。その上にその三日間体の調子は悪い。毎日うとうとしていると何もやりたくない。このままじゃいけない。だるい日々を過ごすのは嫌だから。
皆さん、何か読みやすい本は知っていますか？あったら教えてください。ありがとう！

Upcoming Events

There ought to be two events happening in just a few days, which interest me.

A progress update is scheduled by Neuralink on 28th. I remember that the last one took place sometime last year. I'm looking forward to hearing what progress they made. That's a huge thing. I won't say more about it now, but if you don't know what that is, I recommend you to look that up on the internet.

Starship SN6 is supposed to hop 150 meters on the same day. Starship is a reusable launch vehicle from SpaceX. It's still being developed and tremendous progress is being made. There already was a successful 150 m hop with Starship SN5 a few weeks ago. Elon Musk tweeted after the hop that they need to smooth out the launch process, so they are going to proceed with several short hops before they try to make 20 km flight.

Quelques rêves raisonnable

Comme la plupart des gens, j'ai des aspirations pour ma vie. Je essayais les garder raisonnable parce que je pense qu'il y a un risque qu'on peut être attrapé dans leur rêves et ne marche jamais à les atteindre.

Un exemple est que je voudrais acheter une meilleure voiture. C'est un rêve commun je connais, mais je pense que je rêve réalistemment. Je ne veux pas une Porsche, parce que cette serait trop. À place de ça, je veux deux Rolls-Royces.

La plupart veulent un chien. Mais je reconnais que je n'ai pas l'endroit pour ça parce que j'ai un appart. Au lieu de rêver dans tel mode irréaliste, je veux un dinosaure. C'est très plus pratique parce qu'il peut faire son lieu lui-même. Au lieu d'acheter une nouvelle maison pour mon animal de compagne, il peut romprer l'appartement en face. Donc il aura beacoup d'endroit pour se courir !

La plupart des gens veulent des possessions matériels. Franchement, je crois qu'il est clair que je ne suis pas comme eux. Je ne veux pas trop. Avec mes Rolls-Royces et mon dinosaure je serai content. Mais, attendez un moment. Il ne faut pas s'oublier des montres, un trône dorè, et aussi centaines serviteurs. Il n'est pas beaucoup plus.

The danger of the right extrisim in germany

A few days ago Björn Höcke, head of the AfD in Thuringia was interviewed by the MDR, a german tv channel. In there so called "summer interviews" the MDR interviews each party-chef of all relevant parties in the state of Thuringia. But this interview was different. It wasn't even sure if it happened. The AfD scored around 25% in the last election in Thuringia. So why wouldn't Björn Höcke be invited? The case for Höcke is special. Very special. Höcke is known to be a right extremist. Höcke is known for his qoutes about the jewish memorial calling it a "memorial of shame". Some of his party members couldn't distinguish qoutes from his one book with qoutes from Hitlers "Mein Kampf". Höcke also once canceled an interview because he didn't like the reporter asking him out about the language he uses. You're officially allowed to call him a Fascist.

So why was he invited? Why would a serious tv channel invite a right extremist for an interview?

Those questions are good, yet simple; because he represents a lot of voters. But where do those voters come from? If we look at the results of past elections in each state, we can see a clear pattern. They win in the east, but loose in the west. But why is that so?

In order to understand the problems of people living in eastern germany, we need to take a look into our history book. After World War 2, germany was divided into two states;
East Germany, a communistic dictatorship and
West Germany, a democratic capitalistic country

After the reunification of germany in 1990, there were a lot of problems in the Eastern part. There's a lot to be said about this topic, but since im not that famillar with period and this text is just a practise for me, i'm just gonna tell you this;
The people of eastern germany were and still are unsatisified with their treatment after the Reunification. That led them to anger. This anger was dissolved during the refugee crisis in 2015. The AfD used this anger in order to gain votes. And now we here, 7 years after their foundation, the AfD threatens to become the second biggest party in all germany(even though they lost votes according to polls during the Corona-Crisis).

So should we give them their space in tv and media? My answer to that is a clear "no". Medias can influence people in different shapes. If we let guys such as Höcke influence the younger generation, we're guilty for all their doing, once in power. In other words; if we let anti-democrats their space, we don't protect our democracy and therefore our democracy is vulnerable. Democracy is of course also that you can vote who or what you want, but it's also that we ban those, who want to destroy our beloved republic. Moliere once said; "It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable" and i find that very fitting

Nobody protects the president

A few weeks ago, the police in Vienna noticed four people sitting in a local restaurant's open area at 1 am in the night: one couple sitting intimately together, talking to two other persons. In normal times, there is nothing special about this. Times are, however, not normal: the four people were violating the Corona curfew.

When the policemen approached the four delinquents, the couple turned out to be the nation's president and his wife. Immediately, the president admitted wrongdoing and explained that they had simply forgotten the time while chatting happily with friends he hadn't seen for a long time.

Even though this event is absolutely insignificant, the rightist freedom launched a parliamentary inquiry to find out whether the president was fined for this act. The police of Vienna answered that at the time the incident happened, the police followed a policy of reminding people of the curfew without fining them, and that no exception was made for the president.

Why am I writing this?
Firstly, it's a cute but true story.
Secondly, it shows that certain countries do certain things correctly if the head of state sits in the middle of the street in the middle of the night and nobody worries about his safety. I wonder whether this might be possible in your country.

This week is being really hard for me, I'm not used to get up early yet and I'm missing wake up at the time I want. Because of this, I'm taking big snaps after work, like a good Spaniard :)

short writing about the cultural diffusion

We can saw the cultural diffusion thought the buildings. As I observe, these have many Victorian-style single houses which have varied colors, at Oakland. The most Victorian-style houses were built more than100 years. Thought the houses, we could see the cultural diffusion from early British immigrants. Additionally, one of the oldest Chinatown locates in San Francisco. If you roan on the street in Chinatown, you feel cultural diffusion from 20th century HongKong. Very old style and unpleasant, in my opinion.
