Studying for an Exam

Next Tuesday, I'm going to take an English exam, TOEFL ITP, so today I started to study for this test. The test is about reading, listening, and grammar. Therefore, ITP is easier than iBT that includes reading, listening, speaking, and writing. However, the grammar section is tough for me. For instance, the subjunctive mood is too difficult. I had forgotten the subjunctive present; "recommend, insist, suggest, and so on" requires a verb stem in next that-clause.
I want to utilize knowledge from studying for my writing.

New Rules for theme park

Today one of our theme parks reopen again.

I didn’t know that!

But according to the news all the tickets sold out already a months ago.

Anyway, good to see many happy faces.

But I also reading another news from Japan.

There theme park also reopen after a long time.

But they advise the customers not to scream!

That is such discourage rules!

You go to theme park, you want to have fun and release the stress.

Sorry! No scream in the park.

한국어 수업

저는 어제 선생님이랑 한국어 수업을 했어요. 진짜 어려웠요!
선생님은 이야기 빨라 편이에요. 그리고 한국어로 말해요! 그렇지만 저는 설명이 필요하면 제가 항상 발아고 선생님이 항상 설명을 써요.
제 생각에 이 수업이랑 연습하면 빠른 진행할 거예요.

日本語日記　11月29日

今日はたくさん読んだ。最初は少し「人間失格」を読んだ。主人公の高校生と大学生の頃の部分を読んだ。面白いけど主人公と思いやるのは難しい。それから「聲の形」の第5巻を読んだ。もう英語で3回読んだけどまだ感動した。日本語の方は少し英語よりいいと思う。最後は「ぼくらの」の第1巻から第2巻を読んだ。悲しくて、感情的だった。このままで漫画の結末はアニメより悲しいと思う。ふりがななしは思ったより易かった。複数の漢字を調べる必要があったけど、ほとんどが知っていた。

Un pueblo antiguo

Hace casi doscientos años, una familia fundó un pueblo pequeño a apenas de 2 km de mi casa. Las ruinas están en una reserva natural al lado de mi urbanización y hoy mi hermana y yo decidimos visitarlas.

El sendero para visitar el pueblo me asustó un poco porque es serpenteante y lo atravesamos durante del atardecer. Ahora solo hay un cementerio porque los edificios quemaron en un incendio misterioso en los años ochenta.

Leímos un poco sobre el pueblo antiguo y aprendimos que el sitio fue tan lejos que solo se lo podía acceder por barco de vapor. En el siglo XX, las carreteras y ferrocarriles habían mejorado tanto que el uso del barco de vapor estaba en declive. Poco a poco, el pueblo dejaba de recibir alimentos y recursos de fuera y los aldeanos lo abandonaron.

Drinking with friends

Well, today I drank beer with a couple of friends. I'm not used to drink on sundays, I don't want to have a hungover the next day. Specially because at my age a hungover is the worst that can happen. Some days I had to suffer headaches for the whole day. I felt sick and I didn't want to eat or drink anything.
I remember the days when I was at college. I could drink a lot with my friends and at the next day I wake up as if nothing had happened the day before. These were good times.
Nowadays, I keep in mind that I shouldn't drink more than three pints of beer unless I want to regret the following morning.
It's hard to age if you love to drink alcohol.

我的演讲题目是" 通过电影学习语言"。对我来说 “看电影学语言”是个很好的方法。为什么小孩子学习语言学得那么快、出国留学生可以在两、三个月里就可以提高外语水平呢。这一切都归于生活的环境，在语言环境中 ,你会受到语言的文化、思维、语感的影响。最重要的是, 你经常跟语言接触。但是，并非每个人都有机会到国外生活很长时间，也没有一个可以每天陪你聊天的外国人。所以，电影是非常合适的选择。通过看电影，我们可以了解中国的文化、传统、以及人们的表达习惯。看电影是学口语的最好方法。我认为想学好语言只有一个办法，那就是多练。如果我想听懂中国人说的话, 我得常常听中国人说话。如果我想说流利地汉语，我得多说汉语。看电影你既可以练口语又可以练听力。在看电影的过程中，你可以学习日常词汇和自然交流。有时你可能会觉得外语太难了并且变得懈怠，但是如果你看有趣的电影，你会更有动力。

Last Week of School

This is my last week of school. We are definitely not going to do anything useful, so I don't like having to attend. However, I would like to say goodbye to all my teachers and thank them for their hard work. I'll send a message to each of my favorite teachers, so that I don't have to talk in front of everyone (though I think not many students will attend the last classes).
My graduation is on Friday, though I'm going with non of my two best friends. The school's administration has divided my classroom in two different groups. One of the groups has their graduation at 16:30 (both of my friends are in this group), and the other has it at 19:30 (this is the one I'm in). Honestly, it sucks.

周末

我和一个朋友昨天去了明尼苏达杜鲁斯，到时去特特古驰州立公园观光岩壁，然后我们去醋栗瀑布州立公园看看瀑布和雪覆盖的海滩。杜鲁斯和威斯康辛苏必利尔接壤，所以我们看这些景点后就去苏必利尔。

特特古驰州立公园离加拿大很近，有大概１５０公里，没有疫情的话，我们就会去加拿大，可现在边界已经被封锁了。

最近我写完了两篇论文，第一篇有两千词，第二篇有三千。现在我能集中注意力于读我需要读的书了，在过去的４５天我已经看完了七本书了，我几乎每隔五天看完一本书。这些书说的是音位学、语用学、形态学和二语习得，都蛮有意思！

L'italiano

Ho cominciato ad imparare l’italiano perché avevo studiato il francese e mi ho detto che avrei potuto imparare anche l’italiano. Prima di l’aver cominciato, pensavo che l’italiano fosse una lingua facile ma mi sbagliavo molto. Ci sono molti aspetti grammaticali che, per me, sono difficili e stranieri. Fortunatamente, la grammatica italiana e simile alla grammatica francese e penso che se non avessi studiato il francese, sarebbe stata molto più difficile per me.

Adesso, mi sento più a mio agio quando parlare e scrivere l’italiano, cioè non è più necessario tradurre ogni parola e ci sono meno istanze quando sono bloccato in una conversazione. Ovviamente, sono ancora ad un livello basso e non sono ancora sicuro per molti aspetti grammaticali ma mi sento felice e fiero che possa almeno tenere una conversazione.

ポルトガル語と日本語会話活動

こんにちは！
久しぶりに投稿します。

サンパウロ大学の後期はオンラインで行うためで、私が別のキャンパスの授業を受けられて、文学部の日本語の授業を受けています。その授業の生徒たちは日本語会話活動やっていたかったけど、コロナ禍の影響でサンパウロで留学していた日本人は帰国されました。
私が東京農業大学で留学した頃、Latin American Café というスペイン語とポルトガル語の会話活動が行いました。でも、農大にいる南米アメリカの留学生が少なくなったためで、その活動もなくなりました。

なので、東京農業大学はサンパウロ大学とコラボして、ZOOMでポルトガル語と日本語の会話をやり始めます！
ブラジルやポルトガル語に興味がある方へ、是非参加してみてください！！
農大以外の学生も参加してもいいですよ！

历史中有很多伟大的画家，但我最喜欢的画家是达芬奇
达芬奇是一位伟大的意大利艺术家。他的作品，如《蒙娜丽莎》，《最后的晚餐》如今已经成为世界上最著名的艺术品。他既是伟大的画家又是天才的建筑师和发明家，他是个很有创造性的人。我很佩服他的才能和他对美术才华。他从小就表现出自己的才能，很早开始跟艺术接触。虽然我没有机会亲眼看到他的作品，但我还能感觉到每件作品的独特风格。他的画我大部分都很喜欢，因为看他的画给我带来很多启发。, 达芬奇通过艺术表达自己的思想和知识。有时候他为了画一幅肖像画，他多次寻找模特，认真观察一遍又一遍地画花了几年才能完成。

The other day I meet this guy.

The other day I meet this guy, two or three blocks from here. He wanted a cig and then he stood there, whistling, looking at me. "How it's going?" He asked me, as he watched a teenager get on the bus at the end of the street. Then he stared at me. "Pretty good, I suppose." I replied. He sucked the cigarette in and exhaled the smoke out through his nose. "You don't remember me, do you?", he said. "Sorry, I don't. Do we know each other from somewhere?", "Well, not yet mate, but, we'll do it, we'll do it soon." Then he threw the butt on the street, crushed it with his foot, greeted me and disappeared among the cars.

Je suis fier de moi-même

Je suis fier de moi-même et très heureux maintenant parce qu'on m'a dit que mon anglais est très bon ! J'ai commencé à utiliser cette application appelée "Hello Talk" que permettre de parler avec d'autres personnes qui veulent apprendre una langue. Donc, je peux y parler avec des personnes qui parlent l'anglais comme langue maternelle. Ils m'ont tous compris ! Je suis heureux, parce que je croyait que personne n'allait pas me comprendre. Bien sûr, je peux toujours améliorer mon prononciation, mais le fait qu'ils ont pu me comprendre m'a rendu très content.

Etwas Kurzes

Ich abonniere zu zwei Zeitungen, eine lokale and eine nationale. The Nachrichten in beide ist nicht so gut. Infektionen steigen weiter. Unsere Krankenhäuser sind fast voll. Many Leute sind ohne Masken unterwegs. Trotz Warnungen sind Viele für den Ferien gereist. Wir werden sehen, was die nächste zwei Wochen bringt. Dann kommt Weihnachten! Wir haben uns schon entscheidet, ein Zoom-Weihnachten zu haben. Wir werden zu Hause bleiben und mit den Enkelkindern über das Internet sprechen. Wir lassen Amazon die Geschenke liefern. Wenigstens müssen wir die Geschenke nicht wickeln.

El vocabulario activo y pasivo

Todos tienen dos tipos de vocabularios, un activo y un pasivo. ¿Qué es la diferencia entre los dos? El vocabulario activo es lo que puedes usar cuando estás en una conversación o algo así. Es las palabras comunes que hemos usado por años como "y", "porque", "perro" y tal. No las tenemos que pensar en mucho. Incluso vocabulario más oscuro puede calificar. Dependan en tu profesión, forma de vida, infancia o cosas como así, pero palabras como "plancton", "cangrejo" o "fluctuar" podrían ser consideradas vocabulario activo para algunas personas. (Hay otros ejemplos pero incluyo para conseguir más práctico con esas palabras).

Por otro lado, el vocabulario pasivo es las palabras que reconocemos, pero no podemos usarlas en una conversación, o a menos sin mucho esfuerzo. No es un problema de entendimiento, las comprendes sin ayuda, pero es una lucha para recordarlas en una conversación o cuando escribes. Afortunadamente, hay maneras de que puedes volvérselas a vocabulario activo, a través herramientas como Anki o Quizlet.

Meu dia

Hoje eu acordei as 6 da manhã porque tinha que começar a trabalhar as 7. Eu dou aulas de Inglés e Espanhol desde casa. Agora já saõ as 12:54 aqui em El Salvador.

Como tenho um pouco mais de tempo do normal, decidi contatar algumas pessoas no CouchSurfing para pedir ajuda sobre que lugares visitar no Rio o ano que vem. Eu tenho a esperança que o ano próximo tudo seja melhor.

Por enquanto tô tomando uma pausa e depois vou para mais uma aula. Eu trabalho de segunda a domingo sem parar. Espero que o ano que vem seja melhor para tirar ferias e conhecer Copa Cabana

Youtube的中文歌曲

昨天在Youtube的时候，我又找到了很好听的中文歌！我开心得不得了！我一天没听中文歌好像缺了点什么似的。我从来没遇到一个人像我一样喜欢听中文歌。我住在美国，所以大多数的年轻人都喜欢听 "American Hip-hop" 的歌，却我不一样。

继续我的故事。我找到的歌曲叫《不值得》，歌手：郑伟杰（他可能不是原来的歌手，我觉得他在cover这首歌？）他在一个Live公演唱歌。在视频里你也能看到中国有名的歌手，比如 GEM （邓诗颖), 王以太, 汪苏泷，和其他的歌手（但是我不知道他们的名字）。

我觉得这首歌《不值得》不但不好听而且告诉我们一件正常感到感情和情况。
他唱的歌词是”这感情，不值得我犹豫，不值得我考虑，不值得我爱过你。这种回忆，不值得我提起，不值得想起，不值得哭泣。”
我一听这些歌词就会理解这种感觉。我觉得我们都可能也经历过这个情况：你有一个关系（可能是友谊或者恋爱的关系）然后你为了这个人和关系付出了很多，尽力你所了有的力量，但到最后都是白付的。无论你付出了多少，他/她没看到你的价值（或者不想、不会对你好）。过了一段时间后，你终于放弃这个关系而且反映了“他从来不值得我的付出，关心和眼泪。”

我觉得听中文歌会扩大我的中文词汇！我一边能听到好听的歌，一边能学到新的中文词。

Sprachpraxis mit einer iTalki-Lehrerin: Meine Erfahrung

Es fällt mir schwer, einen guten Lehrer auf iTalki zu finden, mit dem ich Sprachpraxis machen kann. Ich bezahle gerade für Stunden mit einer professionellen Lehrerin, die ein Master-Studium macht, weil ich eine jüngere Person unterstützen wollte, die an der Universität ist. Deshalb hatte ich moderne Lehrmethoden erwartet.
Da die erste Lektion wirklich gut war, habe ich für ein Paket von fünf Lektionen bezahlt. Seitdem haben sich die Lektionen jedoch in einen traditionellen Unterrichtsstil verwandelt. Nach der zweiten Stunde, wo ich immer allein ohne Pause sprechen musste, habe ich um einen Gesprächsaustausch gebeten, doch das Format ist immer noch eine Runde Fragen und Antworten. Die Lehrerin stellt also nur Fragen, und spricht nicht sehr viel, außer um etwas zu widersprechen, oder zu korrigieren. Es gibt immer noch keinen Zweiwege-Austausch.
Es ist wirklich enttäuschend. Wahrscheinlich ahmt sie die Lehrer nach, die sie in der Schule hatte, und bei mir ist es nicht so effektiv laut vorzulesen oder immer Antworten zu geben, und so weiter. Also, was sind die möglichen Lösungen, die nicht so viel Zeit und Geld kosten würden?
Ich muss mir das überlegen/Darüber muss ich nachdenken.

Erntedankfest

Donnerstag war das Erntedankfest. Es ist ein amerikanisches Fest, wann wir unsere Familie sehen und für gute Dinge danken. Wir haben draußen gefeiert, wegen COVID-19. Nur meine Großeltern haben uns besucht. Wir haben ein Feuer gemacht, um warm zu halten. Wir haben Putenfleisch, Ribs, Stuffing, Kartoffeln, und Kürbiskuchen gegessen. Alles war sehr lecker! Ich habe auch "The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" geschaut, wie jedes Jahr. Gibt es eine ähnliche Festparade in Deutschland?

Des problèmes avec la plomberie.

J’habite dans une vieille maison, elle a plus de cent ans. D’un côté c’est une bonne chose parce que ces maisons sont très solides et à mon avis elles sont assez jolies, mais de l’autre côté, elles peuvent être froides et la plomberie est souvent démodée. Dans ma maison (ce n'est pas vraiment ma maison parce que je la partage avec trois autres gens) jusqu’à maintenant j’ai eu deux problèmes avec la plomberie. La première fois, d’eau a commencé d’égoutter du plafond de la cuisine, qui est en dessous de la salle de bain. Notre propriétaire a appelé un plombier et il a tout résolu. Récemment j’ai eu un autre problème. La chaudière a commencé de perdre de la pression, me rendant sans l’eau chaude. Heureusement, la solution était simple et j’étais capable de résoudre le problème moi-même. J’espère qui je n’aurai pas plus de problèmes.
