Teachers should passs a yearly exam, just like students

In my country, teachers do not need to pass exam once a year, but in my opinion this is not helpful for both: their knowledge on the things that they teach and for the quality of education that them provide.

Firstly, let us take a look at the today´s education. In my country, teachers were extremely clever, and this was mostly because they had had a meaningly education when they were a child. However, as time passed, the education provided by schools went from good enough to poor. That´s because the general development of teachers have started to be bad, and with this raised other problems because of that lack of initial education. This "paradox" has signified a decay in the education provided by schools.

On the other hand, this problem can be easily resolved with just only a tool: an exam. With a general exam aimed to teachers, and made to measure the understading in the proffesor´s field, we will face a huge improvement in almost all the schools around the country.

To sump up, I want to point out the urge necessity of this reform, not only to save education, but to save the future. The future lies on teachers´ hands, because they are in charge of the leaders of near future.

Saadi's Golestan

If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an international exhibition, what would you choose? Why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

I would send a literary book. The Persian language is filled with great poets who are world known. It is difficult to select a book from a great number of amazing literary books. However, my choice would be Golestan by Saadi Shirazi. The book was chosen by the Times Magazine as one of the 1000 great books of all time. Saadi is famous for his poetic language. He is called Shireen Zaban, i.e. someone who has a sweet language. Reading his poems makes you feel as if you are sitting by a passing river and listen to the voices of water and birds. Most of Saadi’s works are a collection of poems but Golestan is an exception. Golestan is composed of random, short stories that are full of human advice and interesting narratives. Many experts have considered the language used in Golestan the prime of the Persian language. It has been decades since Saadi’s death and during this time, many writers have attempted to imitate Saedi’s style but most of them either have been unsuccessful or could have not surpassed him.
I would choose this book because I would like to change Iran’s picture in people’s minds, even if a little. During recent years, due to the conflicts of Iran’s foreign policies with other countries, people in the world do not have the same opinion of Iran’s people as they had before the Iranian revolution. Golestan is a good representative of Iranians’ culture and behaviors. Golestan pictures not only Iranians’ love for literature but a reasonable picture of their moral codes.

The Reasons to Work

People work because they need money to live. What are some other reasons that people work? Discuss one or more of these reasons. Use specific examples and details to support your answer.

Some people work because they enjoy their jobs. Aside from making a living, they find their goals and dreams in their jobs. However, most people are forced to choose jobs that are not ideal for them. These people work firstly to meet their basic needs. Some of them have decided to choose their work future based on the salaries of jobs. Since people are afraid of poverty they will not choose their desirable jobs which are not promising in terms of salaries. In their free time, they spend their time doing either recreational activities or what they always like to do. For example, someone who is afraid that he will not be successful in the music industry chooses medicine as his profession. However, he does not enjoy treating patients. His job might be the reason for his boredom. The only things that encourage him and give him some hope are what he does in his spare time.
For some people, jobs are sources of meaning. They find the meaning of their lives in their work. For these kinds of people merely having enjoyable, well-paid jobs are not satisfactory. They should see the meaning in their work to find them fulfilling. I was one of these people. When I was under pressure to choose a job that was not my ideal job I felt like I lost my way in the world. Before this, I could see a path that I should take but after that decision, the path was gone. I was only wandering around without knowing where I will reach.

Never, Never Give Up

The expression “Never, never give up” means to keep trying and never stop working for your goals. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Success has a direct relationship with happiness. I believe that yearn for happiness and avoid suffering are the main causes of people’s actions. You can reduce many virtues, if not all, to the virtue of happiness. People want to be rich only because they want to be powerful. People want to be powerful because they enjoy having a great deal of power and influence. Many philosophers like John Stewart Mill and Jeremy Bentham consider happiness the origin of ethics and many others see happiness as one of the main drives behind people’s moral actions.
Success is one of the main ways by which people can reach their insatiable desire, the desire to be happy. You can be seen as a successful individual depending on how many of your goals have been satisfied. If your goals are far-fetched and numerous the probability of being successful in the future will be lowered. Despite this, people always encourage one another not to give up and try hard to achieve their goals. They think only by trying hard and having a great passion for your job you are able to rise to the top and make the impossible possible. Their deep desire for thinking too high is understandable considering the effects of success on individuals’ well-being but I do not think the world cares about their desires. The world does not revolve around humans and their desires. You can increase your chance of reaching your goal by trying hard but you cannot guaranty the result. A large number of causes are going on to make something happen and these causes necessarily do not go with the flow of your desires. A person who is aiming to be an Olympic champion in the track and field can increase his chance of being successful but a car accident might happen to him and make him disabled for the rest of his life.
People argue that there are a great number of successful people who have reached their goals by trying hard and not giving up. A research carried out at the University of Manchester shows that there is almost an equal number of people as successful people who have put bold attempts for their dreams but could not have been someone they have always wanted to be. The problem is that books are only written for successful individuals. Due to this reason, people get this delusion that they only need to try hard and nothing else matters.

A Response

Thank you for sharing your experience in language learning with me. You were telling the truth. Most Chinese people prefer to choose native English speakers as their tutor because they think native English speakers are always better than non-native English speakers at their English level. I have joined a WeChat group established by a few foreigners. They are all from either America or Canada and so on. After several months of observation, I found that some of them didn’t write well, but I just thought inside myself and didn’t dare show my opinion because I was wondering if I was wrong. In the process of learning English, I almost haven’t invited a foreign teacher. I study by myself. Sometimes I will have a short conversation with native English speakers, but I feel it’s difficult to talk with foreigners at my level. Because foreign teacher fees are very expensive, it is painful to spend money. Finally, I decided to learn English by myself. When my English gets better, I have conversations with foreign tutors to improve my speaking. You have been giving me a lot of help on my English journey and I am very grateful. But I don’t know how to thank you; I can only say thank you sincerely.

Prime Minister

It was found out that prime minister of Japan had a dinner with 8 people without a face mask last December though he urged citizens not to get together more than 5 people. But, I don't mean to criticize his behavior or suitability for the prime minister.
After it was greatly reported about in the news, he made an excuse and said "Our behavior let people misunderstanding." Why politics don't want to accept their mistakes and blame it on our recognition?

Translation Practice

A long time ago when I started learning Chinese, I naively bought a Chinese book, and I hope I can read it one day. I originally thought it was a Mandarin book, but with my Chinese level improving and I was aware that I was totally wrong. I started to be aware that the characters in this book have too many strokes. Does destiny call me to study traditional characters? As time passed, l learned that the book was written in Cantonese. Maybe I should learn Cantonese?

Keep writing

Learning english is like doing exercise. You need to keep training every day to achieve your goals. For me, the main problem is that learning to write in english requires to have ideas to write about.

What can you do if you don't have something to write about, well...you can write about nothing. And that's what I'm doing now, writing about nothing with the only purpose of keep writing every day. Because, sometimes, to be fluent in a language also means be able to talk about nothing for a while.

Thanks for your patience and dedication

¿Vas a estudiar ahora mismo?

It's just my complaint that the sirens of Spanish emergency vehicles such as ambulances and police cars are very noisy. It's a really different level, so they can’t compare to Japanese one. I always feel irritated by the sirens when I hear that, especially after I study. The sounds aren’t constant sometimes it’s too big.
