Das Leben wahrend der Pandemie
Leider geht die Pandemie weiter. Jeder Tag scheint fast wie die andere. Oft kann ich mich nicht erinnern, an welchen Tag der Woche es ist. Seit April, verlassen wir fast nie unsere Wohnung. Meine Frau kann von zu Hause aus arbeiten, und ich lese gern Bücher. Ich lese viele Bücher, etwa 100 pro Jahr. Oftmals lese ich drei or vier Bücher gleichzeitig. Ein oder zwei Romanen und ein Sachbuch order zwei. Wir haben kein Auto, deshalb lassen wir unsere Lebensmittel geliefert. Fast alles anders kommt von Amazon.

Den svåraste delen med att bo i Sverige som utbytesstudent
Hej allihopa! Jag har pratat tidigare om de delarna jag verkligen gillade med att bo i Sverige (transportation, de charmiga personerna jag träffade, etc.), men nu tror jag att det skulle bli kul att diskutera delarna jag tyckte var svårare att anpassa mig till. När jag först anlände till Sverige sommaren 2019 så tyckte jag och många andra utbytesstudenter att det var skönt hur ljusa dagarna var - skymningen kom sent ikvällen och gryningen var ganska tidigt på morgonen. I Texas känns dagarna lika långa hela året oavsett om det är sommar eller vinter, så jag tog tillfället att njuta av det perfekta vädret och det bestående ljuset så mycket jag kunde. Vi hade varnats av infödda svenskar att det här inte skulle bestå länge, men jag brydde mig inte om det särskilt mycket. Jag var inte beredd för hur mörka dagarna skulle bli under vintern! November kom och mörkret slog till mig som en lastbil. Jag minns hur deprimerad jag blev och hur min ångest steg till en nivå som jag nätt och jämt kunde klara av. Det finns många saker som jag saknar, men mörkret i Sverige är ju inte en av dem.

Subempfehlung!
Ich lese gern auf r/German. In diesem Sub gibt es eine Menge Materialien, die sehr wertvoll für Deutschlernende sind. Wenn man sein Deutsch verbessern möchte, sollte man jeden Tag unbedingt dieses Sub lesen. Dies Sub ist hauptsächlich geeignet für Anfänger, die ihr Deutsch so schnell wie möglich verbessern wollen.
Das andere Sub, das sehr hilfreich sein kann, ist r/NoFap. Menschen, die süchtig nach Porn sind, kann das Sub für sie ziemlich nützlich sein, um damit aufzuhören.

The point is that she figures only through the projections and memories of her three brothers, which are completely obsessed with her. The Compson’s brothers present point of commonality and deviation, so even if Caddy is the central focus, the brothers offer each time a different perspective, making Caddy a dynamic character.

Bir kedi, bir kitap, ve ben
Geçenlerde Türkçe bir kitap okumaya başladım. Üç hafta önce küçük bir kedi yavrusu edindim. Susamuru (Otter) adı olan kedinin çok mu çok oyunbaz olduğu için sadece onun uyukladığı zamanlarda kitabım okuyabilirim. Her gün kitabın bir bölüm okuyarak bir defterde benim bilinmeyen sözlerimi yazıyorum ve okuyama bitirince kelimeleri öğrenmeye çalışıyorum. Şu yöntemle yavaş yavaş yeteneklerimi arttırmayı ümit ediyorum.
Bundan başka bugün ne yapacağımı karar vermedim. Hava soğuk ve hayli kasvetli olduğu için dışarıya çıkmayacağım galiba. Şimdilik uyuyan kediciğimi izliyorum. Hayat güzeldir.

Warum sterben wir?
Wenn wir älter und älter werden, verliert der Korper Kraft und das führt zu Komplikationen die zum Tod führen können. Warum passiert so etwas? Der wissenschaftliche Name für den Prozess ist "Senescence" und es ist ein Ergebnis von akkumulierten DNA Schäden. Jeder von uns hat eine Struktur, eine nicht kodifizierende DNA Sequenz, auf der DNA namens Telomer die vehindert Schäden in dem kodifizierende Teil. Wenn wir älter werden, diese Struktur wird kürzer und unsere DNA ist beschädigt. Wenn du vom Antioxidans hörst, es ist weil diese vom Schäden durch frei Radikale schützen können. Es ist dann sehr wichtig die Telomere zu schützen, aber es ist komplizierter als es aussieht. Bei Krebs zum Beispiel gibt es ein Überschutz sozusagen durch das Telomerase enzym. Die Zelle teilt sich weiter und sterben nicht, was zu Tumoren führt.

Stress II
Gefährlich ist nur, wenn der Körper nach einer bestimmten Gefahrenabwehrreaktion zu einer normalen Lage nicht umschaltet. Das heißt, dass der Körper ständig auf Daueralarm bleibt. Dieser Effekt hat direkte Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit: unsere Konzentrationsfähigkeit reduziert, wir sind vergesslicher und können sogar unter Verkrampfungen und Verspannung der Muskeln leiden. Aus Stress kann also ernsthafte Krankheiten entstehen.
Gefährdet vom Stress sind aber nicht die Leute, die die größte Verantwortung tragen müssen, sondern diejenigen auf den niedrigsten Hierarchiestufen. Sie melden sich dreimal so oft krank wie ihre Chefs. Hilfreich ist das Gefühl von Selbstbestimmung: Mitarbeiter können den Stress besser bekämpfen, wenn sie ihre eigenen Entscheidungen treffen oder sich seine Arbeit einteilen können.

une recrudescence des actes incivils
Vous remarquez dans votre commune une recrudescence des actes incivils sur la route (non respect des limitations de vitesse, des priorités, défauts de stationnement,..) qui mettent en danger les piétons et génèrent de plus en plus d’accidents. Mécontent de cette situation et de l’indéffence de la mairie, vous décidez d’interpeler votre maire pour exiger des actions rapides et vous lui proposez des solutions pour améliorer la situation.
Monsieur Le Maire,
En tant qu’une représentant d’un groupe citoyen de cette ville, je me permets de vous écrire afin de vous faire connaitre ma insatisfaction/mon mécontentement à propos du non respect du code de la route des conducteurs dans notre ville.
Tout d’abord, il me semble que l’augmention sans cesse d’accidents routiers dont les piétons sont les principales victimes. Du fait, les raisons de cette grave situation sont multiples et principalement liées aux actes incivils sur la route tels que non respect des limitations de vitesse, des priorités, défauts de stationnement... qui mettent en danger non seulement les piétons mais aussi d’autres véhicules qui se déplacent en respectant le code de la route.
Ensuite, l’indifférence des pouvoirs publics en général et des polices en particuliers font partie des causes qui rend cette situation de plus en plus mauvaise. La qualité de la ville se détériorie rapidement. D’ailleurs, plusieurs parents ne laissent plus leurs enfants marcher et se promener sur les trottoirs. C’est pourquoi il faudrait des mesures plus strictes pour empêcher ce problème.
Je vous propose pourtant des pistes d’améliorations qui sont envisageables et peu couteux. La première consiste en une prise de conscience politique. Vous pourriez notamment installer Panneau de signalisation d'une limitation de vitesse sur les axes principaux de notre ville, notamment dans les routes où il y a beacoup des piétons. En outre, il est nécessaire d’augmenter l’amende pour les personnes qui violent le code de la route et mener également une campagne préventive pour sensibiliser les conducteurs des conséquences dangereuses issus de leur actes incivils.
En espérant vous avoir convaincu et de nous agir rapidement pour éviter de ternir l’image de notre ville, je vous prie d’agréer, Monsieur Le Maire, l’expression de mes sentiments les plus sincères.

Death Valley_2
Death Valley is a mystical anomalous area in the valley of the Vilyui river located far in north-east Siberia, on a sparsely populated land where the Sakha people live. Sakha have always known that there are mysterious structures far in the tundra, which they called cauldrons. Hundreds and hundreds of years ago, they fell from the heaven with a roar and flame, and since then have slowly sunk into the permafrost. Some of them were the size of a big yurt, shaped like an upside-down cauldron, others much larger, with several levels going deep underground. During a hunt for fur animals, Sakha sometimes stayed overnight in them. It was much warmer inside than in the open air, the walls seemed to emit warmth, especially in multi-level structures, the deeper it was, the warmer it got. But those who spent more than one night there always got sick and died soon. In the middle of the 19th century, a Russian gold digger with a mate and a few Sakha guides roamed this area, looking to pan out sands at the small rivers flowing into Vilyuy. One evening they went out to the hilly area with sparse trees. Pointing at a small mound, the oldest guide said that they were to spend the night there. For the Russians, it looked like a kind of large bump, which are abundant in the local tundra. They usually are formed when the water accumulates under a thin layer of soil and freezes, creating a form of convex lens. But it was astonishing for them to see that its edge had risen above the ground and they could crawl under it to get inside. The whole object resembled an upside-down and slightly inclined bowl covered with soil and grass. During dinner, the guides told to the Russians some legends related to the “cauldrons”, as much as the both sides poor language skills allowed. They warned that in case of suffocation, headaches or nightmares they should get outside and sleep in the open air. But the guys slept well and started to examine their cauldron in the morning. It was made of metal, the hemispherical outer surface was rough, black, and covered with some kind of scale so strong that neither a knife nor an axe could leave any scratches on it. On the brim of the cauldron the metal was smooth, polished, silver colored. It glistened as if it had just been made, and its edge was so sharp, that the gold digger’s mate cut himself running his finger over it. They tried to break off a piece of metal from the edge of the cauldron, hoping that the metal was valuable and could be sold. Eventually they crashed the axe , but there was not a single scratch left on the shiny metal of the cauldron. During their further journey, the gold digger’s mate got sick and died, but he himself got to the town of Vilyuysk, where a government official responsible for public education in Eastern Siberia and enthusiast of exploring this region, wrote down this story from his words and made a sketch of the cauldron. There is also a sketch of multilevel "cauldron", made approximately at the same time, in the second half of the 19th century, according to the description of Sakha elders. Some Russian settler from the southern part of the region possessed an object taken by Sakha from one of the "cauldrons" and exchanged for alcohol. It was a metal object that could cut glass like butter, but it was lost later. Nowadays, or rather in the very beginning of 2000s, the Czech expedition tried to find the "cauldrons", but due to poor technical equipment and lack of funding after one season of searching abandoned this idea. Even today, this area remains completely wild and stretches for tens of thousands of square miles. Sakha people are not nomads any more, they are ruining themselves with drinking and gradually dying out. Most likely, there is no one left who knows the exact location of at least one of the "cauldrons". Apparently, this mystery will remain unsolved, as well as the mystery of the Tunguska event and many others.

The meeting receptionist gave me a bad impression. When I reported on duty, the receptionist seemed like I had nothing to do with them. They were just playing on their phone until I asked them to register. Then I came to the front table to check in, but the receptionist told me that there were no rooms available at the moment. I asked her how long I would wait. She said she didn’t know and told me just to wait until someone checked out. Because there were few chairs in the hotel lobby, I had to go out of the hotel and get around. But unfortunately, it was raining back then, however it was just a drizzle. A little while later, I returned to the front table. They still didn’t have an available room. It was about lunch time. The meeting receptionist told me that I could eat lunch first, and after lunch, I could recheck if the hotel had a room available. In the end, I waited for a long time after lunch before I checked in.

Vad är mina mål med svenska?
Hej allihopa, idag tänkte jag snacka om mina mål som jag vill nå innan årsskiftet. I början av 2020 köpte jag en bok som heter Röde Orm från en bibliotek i Stockholm. Mina svenska vänner skojade om att om jag kunde läsa den klart så skulle jag bli en riktig svensk kille med en förmåga att läsa vilken bok jag än önskade mig. De skämtade, men jag tar det på allvar! Ett av mina mål det här året är att läsa den innan årsskiftet. Mitt andra mål följer samma linje - jag vill läsa 10,000 sidor på svenska innan 2020 tar slut. Än så länge har jag läst igenom 7,651, så det är ju nära! Om jag når de här målen innan årsskiftet skulle jag vara jätteglad.

Today is a Holiday (2)
Today, November 23rd, in Japan is a public holiday: called "Labor Thanksgiving Day." It was established in 1948 but its origin is older than 1948 because it was a ritual in which people thank God in appreciation of the bounty of the harvests. Now, its purpose is respecting working, celebrating production, and people give thanks to each other.
I enjoyed these three consecutive holidays, but there is no more holiday in 2020. I'm looking forward to the New Year Holidays.

Practicando mi saque de tenis
Hoy practiqué mi saque de tenis. Hasta ahora he sacado desde abajo pero la semana pasada mi amiga me enseñó cómo sacar desde arriba. Quería practicarlo un poco más antes de mi partido de tenis esta semana así que fui a las canchas al mediodía. A lo mejor debería haber esperado hasta la tarde porque cada vez que tiré la bola, miré directamente al sol. En la cancha al lado había dos hombres jugando al tenis como si fuera el fútbol (las reglas del tenis, pero jugado con los pies y con un fútbol). Su partido me interesó mucho.

Lion
Today I had to film a pretty embarrassing video for an assignment.
The assignment consisted of "making a play", which, is pretty strange considering we are not even going to present it in class (thank the heavens for that). And my team decided to go for a children's play so that we had it easy.
And yes, the one we will do is a basic one made for children, so there's not much happening. But I made a mistake and chose my part in a rush. In the end, I will have to play the King of the jungle, a lion.
We are, of course, going to film separately; so today I sent a video saying my first line. "Rawr, rawr, How tasty! I'm gonna eat it!" (Rawr, rwar, Que rico! Me lo voy a comer! in Spanish) Lion says while referring to a frog?.
It was pretty embarassing and funny, mostly funny according to my sister who made a lot of fun of me. D:

I am on a high speed train that is from Zhengzhou to Fuzhou now. I got on the train at Fuyang station, and will get off at Hefei station. The high speed railway that I take is called Shanghang high speed railway. The railway starts from Shangqiu, and ends in Hangzhou. This is the first time I have taken this line, so I am kind of excited. Yingshang County is a stop on this line, and it is 55 kilometers away from Fuyang. Usually we drive to Yingshang for more than one hour, but by the high speed train today, it only takes 12 minutes. The development of society and technology is too fast. I wonder what will happen in a few decades.

Ein Tag in Darmstadt
Die Stadt südlich von Frankfurt hat mir immer viel Neugier gegeben. Vorgestern habe ich endlich mit einer Freundin von mir entschiedet, einen kurzen Ausflug nach Darmstadt zu machen. Wegen Corona konnten wir nicht alle die Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen. Ehrlich gesagt finde ich Darmstadt praktisch und sauber, aber nicht ein Ort wohin ich ausziehen möchte.
Wir haben die Waldspirale, Marktplatz, Luisenplatz und den Rosenpark besucht. Die Waldspirale war total verrückt. Das ist ein buntes, großartiges Gebäude entworfen von österreichischer Künstler Hundertwasser. Mein Lieblingsort war allerdings der Georg-Prinz Garten. Dort man kann ein schönes Gebäude, das ich nur als träumerisch bezeichnen kann. Seine Wände wurden sorgfältig gemalt und wenn ich nicht mich irre, wird jetzt als eine Bibliothek benutzt.

У меня сейчас есть план на следующей четверти, которая начинается в январе. Я собираюсь вернуться в университет и записаться на курс русского языка и курс чтения по-русски. Я не смогу жить на кампусе из-за коронавируса. Возможно, это к лучшему. У нас так много случаев в США за последнее время, и не представляю, как студенты живущие на кампусе будут соблюдать правила социального дистанцирования. Ситуация неидеальная, но я рада, что у меня будет ещё два курса русского. Я очень хочу учиться на продвинутый уровень.
