A good news
A good news for me. Actually it was not about me. It was about my hometown. I heard this news that a mountain in my hometown was put into the world heritage list several years ago. At that time, this news hit the headlines and became the front-page headline in all the newspapers. I saw it on my phone while I was having dinner. I was so surprised that I jumped up from my table, and everyone in the dining room just looked at me. My hometown, which is a wonderful unspoilt countryside on the edge of a dense forest, is a very small city with breathtaking scenery, but now the natural scenery gives this city a character. I think it will become world-known attractions to attract holidaymakers come here to admire the view. In this case, it will attract more tourists to boom the tourism industry, driving the local economy. On top of that, I am so proud of my hometown, because it has a dramatic setting which contains a fast-flowing river with mountains towering above it.

Auszeiz im Beruf
Wer fühlt sich regelmäßig erschöpft oder wem fehlt es an der Motivation der Arbeit, soll die Auszeit nehmen, um sich zu erholen und Energie zu tanken. Ich vertrete den Standpunkt, dass es sehr notwendig ist, eine Pause zwischen der Arbeit einlegen.
Die Vorteile von Auszeit sind selbstverständlich. Zuerst kann man auf körperlichen und seelischen Ebenen richtig entspannen, wenn man einen Urlaub oder eine Reise gestaltet. Weiterhin hat man in dieser Ruhepause Chance, sich über die zukünftige Planung oder Karriere zu überlegen. Obwohl es viele Vorteile mit sich bringen, darf man die Nachteile nicht übersehen. Wenn man sich entscheidet, ein Sabbatjahr zu nehmen, geht es das Risiko, dass dem beruflichen Einstieg eine längere Auszeit im Weg stehen könnte. Und man wird sogar bei seinen Kollegen in Fachkraft übertroffen.
Der hauptsächliche Grund, warum immer mehr Leute Auszeit brauchen, ist die Steigerung des Stress von Arbeit. Außerdem will man eine Pause machen wegen der Erschöpfung, wenn man Konflikt mit Mitarbeiten oder Chefs hat oder wenn man ungelöste Schwierigkeiten in der Arbeit gestoßen ist.
Wenn man über die Veranstaltung der Auszeit nachdenkt, soll man zuerst die sinnvolle Aktivitäten auswählen, die richtige Erholung bringen können. Zum Beispiel, eine Reise oder Ein Kurs nach eigenem Interesse sind sehr empfehlenswert. Darüber Hinaus kann man mehr Zeit mit Familie verbringen, die man in alltäglicher Arbeit oft vernachlässigt.
Zusammenfassend möchte ich sagen, dass Auszeit eine effiziente Möglichkeit ist, mit der man die Pause gönnen, um das Leben ohne Arbeit zu genießen.

Moroccan food
I found writing about my country food very exciting. In Europe and north America it is seems that the Moroccan food are started to be popular, people are asking about: Tagine, couscous, Tanjia, and that is really make me glad as Moroccan food enthusiast. When you tell people Moroccan food usually couscous and tagine come to mind both of which are delicious, but Moroccan food is way more then just those two plates .
One of the things I had been asked a lot, as Moroccan living in busy tourist area is why people seems more happier and more alive here than us (whether you agree or not ) , even though we seem we have more and we achieved more, my answer will always be the same it’s all about food one thing all what we eat is normally new, fresh we don’t buy food with a company label on it , so no plastic , less process food more happy people easy, but this not all, it is more that food bring us together we buy food from people not companies ,I actually like how that’s sound form people to people food ,and we eat in the same plate that’s tell more then you need to know , you see this way you can’t share a food with some you are disgust for me , or you hate . love is always on the table for Moroccan people .
Finding and growing food was and still big a part of who we are as species as people, and because our remoteness different part of the world had built different method and approaches, and we develop a unique style of how we cook in way reflect who we are and how we see the world. I have realized with time that food is not just the macronutrients we put in our mouth, since it is not all about the what, you can have the same ingredient, but is also about where and the how and when and to whom and with whom.
So, you see food is deeper than what we all think, and to really comprehend a culture and understand it people and to realize their value, to recognize their fears, to see their preoccupations, you should truly taste their food make their food and share their food.
You can learn a lot just by eating believe or not. A country’s cuisine holds inside it the history of a country you will see the cuisine of the first inhabitants, the Berbers, still subsists today in the essential dishes like tagine and couscous. The Arab invasion brought new spices, nuts and dried fruits, and the sweet and sour combinations that we see in dishes like tagine with dates and lamb. The Moors presented olives, olive juice and citrus while the Jewish-Moors left behind their refined preserving techniques that we see in the everyday use of preserved lemons, pickles... The Ottoman Empire started barbeque (kebabs) to Moroccan cuisine. The French colony, although brief-lived compared to reign of some of these other empires, left behind a culture of cafes, pastries, and even wine. With time, cooks in the kitchens of the four royal cities Fez, Marrakesh, Meknes, and Rabat have established and perfected the dishes that blend each of these distinct tastes. Every Moroccan dish has its place in society and varies with the market, the season, and the region. Sweets are featured throughout the country; "gazelle horns", honey briouats and ghriba are tiny treats that will please the palate and win over even the most challenging gourmets. Fruits also get the royal treatment. Dates may be stuffed with marzipan or walnuts and oranges are sprinkled with cinnamon or juiced. Tagines play with flavors; though most are savory, they also flirt with sweet notes when flecked with prunes, apricots or raisins. At the end of the meal, a glass of mint tea is served to warm the throat and give your belly a break!
That has been said there are some people who order a Moroccan specialty in Moroccan hotel just to be disappoint or people who gone to a busy Moroccan restaurant and end up wanting to kill the chef and never eat something Moroccan again, but those who have dined in Moroccan house get invited to friend gathering or served in a small local restaurant will tell you different story.
May people throughout the world have a good idea of what Moroccan cuisine and diet are all about, but they do not know exactly how they can make those food as Moroccan do.

Christmas Traditions
This Christmas won't be like the rest. I live with my family and we are spending Christmas alone. This is very unlike the previous years, when we celebrated with my whole family. I wanted to tell you how Christmas usually goes for us. I'm an atheist, but my family is religious and I still enjoy the celebration (and the presents).
We usually spend the 24th with one side of the family and the 25th with the other to have the leftovers. We gather at someone's house in the late afternoon or in the evening for Christmas Eve. Everyone brings something to eat and the presents. Of course, the presents are hidden so that children believe in the magic of Christmas.
We have dinner and afterwards we have coffee and sweet things until it's midnight and we raise our glasses to say "Happy Christmas". Someone usually makes a funny toast too. Then, we see the fireworks. At some point the gifts "magically" appear under the Christmas tree (the fireworks are a pretty good distraction) and we open them. We usually stay until three or four in the morning. Also, some teenagers and young adults go to parties or to the park after midnight to get drunk and celebrate.

Der öffentliche Rundfunk ist ein Vorzug
Ich bin beeindruckt, wie stark der öffentliche Rundfunk in Deutschland ist. Durch einen monatlichen steuerlichen Beitrag (den Rundfunkbeitrag) werden viele tolle redaktionell unabhängige Programme produziert. Diese Programme kann jeder in Deutschland kostenlos online schauen, ohne sich immer Werbungen anschauen zu müssen. Einer der besten Teile des öffentlichen Rundfunks ist der Vielfalt des Angebots. Unter anderem bieten die öffentliche Sender (ARD und ZDF) Nachrichten, Krimis, Komödien, und lehrreiche Programme an. Je nach Geschmack, sind sowohl traditionelle Medien-Formate, wie Serien und Filme, als auch neue Medien-Formate, wie YouTube-Kanäle, verfügbar. Ich persönlich finde, dass die neue YouTube-Kanäle auf einer besonders hochen Niveau produziert sind. Zwei meiner Lieblingsangebote sind die YouTube Wissenschaftskanäle Kurzgesagt und MaiLab. Diese Kanäle produzieren tief recherchierte aber leicht verstehende Videos, die aktuelle Wissenschaftsthemen besprechen.
Es gibt Kritiker, die meinen, der Rundfunkbeitrag zu hoch ist. Und zwar sind nicht alle Serien oder Filme prima. Aber für so eine Vielfalt von unabhängige Programme, lohnt es sich den Rundfunk ständig als Gesellschaft zu unterstützen. Wer daran Zweifeln hat, kann sich einfach den USA anschauen, wo die Nachrichten und Medien sind meistens mit ihrer Umsatz beschäftigt und verlieren langsam ihre Qualität und Unabhängigkeit. Darüber hinaus gibt es dort einen Mangel an gute, öffentliche, lehrreiche Sendungen wie zum Beispiel Wissenschaftsprogramme, die für Erwachsene geeignet sind.

僕の趣味はDJすることです。中学の時、僕の誕生日に両親は僕にラジオを買ってくれました。当時、毎日曲を録音したり、聴いたりしていました。ある日、変けど結構好きだった音が聞きました。なんの音は全然知らなかったので、母に聞きました。「それはターンテーブルでスクラッチすることです。」と返事した。ターンテーブルでスクラッチすることを出来たら、格好いいと思いました。
その後、DJになりたいと思って来ました。1990年代の間に、DJの楽器は結構高いでした。両親は買ってくれませんでした。僕はがっかりした。
長年を経て、散々待ってたあげく僕はやっとDJになって来た。僕は有名じゃないけど、小さいクラブとかバーでDJをやる時、とても嬉しいです！

Zusammenfassung eines Buchs
Ich habe gerade ein Buch gelesen, das sich um die Geschichte der Wälder in Nordamerika handelt. Das Buch folgt einer erfundenen Familie durch mehrere Generationen, und beginnt mit einem der ersten Europäischen Siedler, ein Franzoser, der in Quebec circa 1700 gelandet ist. Von Anfang an, versuchten die Siedler, den Wald zu besiegen. Im vergleich zu den Indianern, die in Harmonie mit dem Wald lebten und darauf achteten, niemals zu viel zu nehmen, holzten die Siedler alle Bäume ab.
Für das erste Jahrhundert war dieses Verhalten kein großes Problem - es gab relativ wenig Europäer, und Nordamerika ist ein großes Land. Aber dann begannen große Wellen von Siedler anzukommen, und der Bedarf an Holz stieg rasant. Die Forstwirtschaftindustrie erfüllte diese Nachfrage, indem sie Land sehr billig kaufte, dann jeden einzeln Baum abholzte. Wann ein Bereich ausgeschöpft wurde, fand sie neues Land zu kaufen, und machte dasselbe dort. Innerhalb einiger Jahrzente wurden alle Wälder im Nordosten Nordamerika weg.
Als die Geschäftsführer mit diesem Problem konfrontiert wurden, beschlossen sie nach Westen zu gucken, statt die Wälder erneut anzupflanzen. Der Reste des Buchs erklärt wie in den nächsten Jahrzenten, eine mehrheit der Bäume in den Vereinigten Staaten abgeholzt wurden, als Menschen immer weiter nach Westen umzogen.
Was ich traurig fand, war die Einstellung eines jeden zur Natur. Sie sahen die Natur nur als etwas das augenutzt und ausgebeutet werden könnte, um die menschlichen Bedürfnisse zu befriedigen. Am Ende des Buchs gibt es Hoffnung für die Zukunft, weil ein Nachkomme einer großen Forstwirtschaftfamilie beginnt, seine Wälder nachhaltig zu ernten und neu zu bepflanzen.

Weihnachtsgeschichte
Hans Müller lebt mit seiner Frau in Bremen. Sie wohnen in einem kleinen Haus und haben drei Kinder, die sehr aufgeregt auf die Weihnachtsnacht warten. Leider verdient Hans nicht viel und kann nicht Geschenke kaufen. Er geht zum Supermarkt, um Essen zu kaufen. Am Eingang steht ein sehr Alter Mann, der armer als Hans aussieht. Hans weiß nicht, ob er den Mann helfen soll. Ganze Gedanken gehen durch seinen Kopf aber am Ende erinnert er sich von der Wörter seines Vaters: "Die Welt ist besser, wenn wir mit wer braucht teilen. Jeder ist nützlich." würde ihn sagen. Hans gibt dem alte Mann genug für eine Mahlzeit. Er kauft was er braucht auf der Supermarkt und geht nach Hause. Am Ausgang trifft er seinen Nachbarn Jules und sagt kurz Hallo. Während der Nacht essen die Familie mäßig und gehen ins Bett. Hans hat nicht viel gegessen aber er hat ein reines Gewissen. Am nächsten Morgen finden die Kinder Geschenke an der Tür mit einem Brief. Auf dem Brief steht eine Nachricht von Jules wer Hans akt der Güte auf der Markt sah und wollte ihm helfen. Was für ein Weihnachtswunder! Denkt Hans.

Майк приехал на ровном месте, спрашивая кто сможет одолжить ему деньги. Сумма попрошенная была небольшая, по сути. Однако его повод для просьбы был нетерпимым. Ему понадобились деньги для того, чтобы заправиться и поехать к девушке.
У меня-то денег не было, но разумеется, я настучал на Грэя. — У Грей есть куча бабок,— я сказал. —Он как раз хвастался об этом.—
Как следует, Грей настойчиво отрицал это, качая свою голову. —Он не знает, о чем говорит.—
—Я говорю о твоих бабках,— сказал я. —О которых ты только что хвастался.—
—Мне всё равно,— отозвался Майк. —Деньги нужны, блин, и я ваш друг– —
Я окинул комнату взглядом. Грэй почесал себе в голову.
— –более того,— продолжил говорить Майк, с постепенно увеличивающимся подозрением в глазах, —оба вас мне должны.—
Здесь произошло некое чудо. Мы с Грэем поделились значимым взглядом, словно молча договариваясь упереться против Майка. Пазом мы покачали головами, высказывая в тот же миг: —Никак.—
Майк фыркнул, скрещивая руки. —Знаете в чем ваши проблемы?—
—Вообще-то, да,— Грэй сказал, этими же словами удивляя как Майка, так и меня.
—Ну че, в чем же?— я спросил. Майк замолк, наглое осуждение выраженное на его лице.
—Мы ненадежные друзья.— Пальцем Грэй указывал на нас один за другим, включая себя в жесте. —Ты доносчик, и Майк паразит, и я хороший парень, кто не может выдержать желание высказать правду. Мы не помогаем друг другу несмотря на что, не так ли?—
—Так,— сказал Майк.
Я пожал плечами. —Не так. В целом одолжить деньги мне не по плечу. Кстати, это не имеет отношения к моему уровню надежности. Майк, Грэй отвлекает нас. Я же сказал: он как раз хвастался о своей буквальной куче денег, как раз перед тем как ты приехал.—
—Теперь я согласен с Грэем.— Майк проверил время на часах, оглянулся, как будто ожидая кого-то. —Слушай, ты одолжишь или нет?—
—Нет!— я сказал.
Грэй, сидя на своей куче наличных, слегка и симпатично улыбнулся, пожимая плечами. —Мне жаль, Майк, но мне тоже не по плечу.—

my views on the modified one-child family policy
A heated debate has been aroused on whether modified one-child family control policy are beneficial to our society or not. Views on this issue vary from person to person. And I hold the positive side opinion that the modified policy might bring about the positive change.
Those who declare worried about the overall population will be blow out because of the policy. However, they ignore the fact that our economy will be pace-down due to the elder-age labor source if our government do not take any action to the situation. In addition, one-child family policy will accelerate turning the society into aging society, which will damage the population structure. What’s more, when the modified policy came out, the public reaction is not exciting and up-coming new birth rate shows the modified policy is not efficient which means the worry is useless.
Considering theses factor, what should be worried is that our government should not only propagate the new policy, but also supply the “by-product”,such as increasing paid leave days for parents or provide more birth allowance for younger parents.
All in all, I support the modified policy because of one-child family control policy is not suitable for China now. However, base on the reaction of public, our government should publish more support to help new birth parents.

Literature I am interested in
Specifically, my undergraduate courses mainly focused on the appreciation of genre, as well as the central idea and rhetorical methods under certain social circumstances, while the Global British Studies Master Programme offers fascinating as well as well-designed curricula from the perspective of culture, historical background, and linguistic context. For instance, Identities in British and Postcolonial Anglophone Literatures and Cultures will enable me to make sense of one of the identity-related topics from the literature and culture of the British Isles as well as post-colonial societies in their social, ideological and intellectual-historical context with special consideration of discourse and identity theories; while The British Empire and its Aftermath in Literature offers a fresh perspective to appreciate literary works, notably from the perspective of the historical and linguistic condition. From looking over all the attractive courses of this programme, I have keen interest in deepening my knowledge of the cultures of the Middle Ages and Renaissance through interdisciplinary study. Taking Early English and Renaissance Studies as an example, it combines the cultural forms of the past and the varied perspectives it offers on the cultural forms of the present. Such courses also allow me to explore themes with regard to social psychology, sociology, and inter-/transcultural research across time periods. Likewise, my exposure to Hamlet enables me to make of the difference between Shakespeare’s English and modern English in the aspects of spelling and pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. An interesting case is that a simple word “been” was also spelled beene and bin, which has sparked my passion on the related realm. My passion has also resulted in me applying for your programme, which proved my commitment to the subject.

I met a language learner on HelloTalk and we have learned from each other for several days. She sent me a voice message, then I listened to them, wrote them and read them. I sent her some mandarin learning materials and read for her. We will also exchange our points on some topics by sending voice messages in our mother tongue. Her Chinese pronunciation is very good and her English pronunciation is clear and accurate. She is really serious about learning. I hope she can continue to teach me English, and as well I must try my best to teach her Chinese.
