A YouTube comment I wrote
Quizzing from English to Japanese sounds like you're training your translation skills, not necessarily your comprehension skills. Using a language in most day-to-day settings involves immediate understanding, not careful (maybe deliberate sounds better?) thinking about what was just said or read. In that sense reviewing from Japanese to English while focusing on the general meaning WITHOUT trying to translate seems like the right way to go about it.

INFLATABLE SWIMMING POOL
Have a tough time taking an inflatable swimming pool back home having no fastening equipment? Not an issue until you have your children beside!
Today we are going to find out about Jennifer Yeager, 49. She is from Dixon, Illinois and she ran into some problem. She needed to inflate her swimming pool although she didn’t have any equipment to do that. That was when her friends came in handy since they had an air compressor to get the swimming pool inflated. She took off to visit her friends on Tuesday, July 9th in 2019 in the morning but was ultimately arrested in just a couple of hours. What was the reason you ask? Well, let’s just say she used something weird to hold the pool down to the car as she drove her way back home. Now, logic creatures as we are, one reasonable question would probably cross our mind. The question is: “Why the hell you need to take your swimming pool on the other side of the city, get it inflated and, being inflated, take it back home?” Can’t you just borrow an air compressor for a while? If you wondered this very question, great news! That wasn’t the worst thing she did that day. Because she used both of her children to hold the pool down as she was driving her way back home! The witnesses quickly called the cops and she was pulled over and arrested on two counts of endangering the health or life of a child and two counts of reckless conduct at 3 pm that day. During the investigation, it was also discovered that her two daughters were juveniles – one was of the age of 8 and the other was of the age of 16.
You had better think every side of your inflating swimming pool operation all the way through before using your children instead of a fastening mechanism!

Kaos i Iowa
Vid det här laget borde vi redan ha fått reda på resultaten från gårdagskvällens nomineringsvalet i Iowa. Men ett problem med hur resultaten samlas in har lett till fullständigt kaos inom processen som vanligtvis är ett viktigt del i nomineringsvalet.
Det Demokratiska partiet gav lokala representanter en mobilapp för att rapportera sina resultat men många hade svårigheter med att använda appen. Många bestämde sig för att ringa in istället men telefonlinjerna kunde inte klara så många samtal samtidigt.
Det Demokratiska partiet i Iowa säger att appen hade ett tekniskt fel, som innebär att resultaten som skickades in var felaktiga.
Det är tänkt att en del av resultaten ska släppas senare under dagen.

Cacti poaching
I read an article about a growing menace of cacti poaching. Apparently, for some national parks, it's a thorny issue. Some cacti species fetch a hefty price which results in succulents being stolen from parks and national lands. The problem is so pervasive, that the rangers and other park workers had to come up with a solution. They have started inserting chips into plants. They hope that the chip insertion will be an effective deterrent and will help them to catch the thieves red-handed.

Advantages and Disadvantages of The Cities
First I begin this post with the advantages. So the advantages of the cities are you can buy easily food on every corner unlike in a countryside. You get more informations of the world because in a big city there are lots of school and you can get easily newspapers. You can go everywhere because in a big city the public transport is better than in a village. And you can get job more easily than in a village. The disadavantages are the smogs because it's unhealthy. The cities are usually loud and dirty. In a crowded city the number of the crimes are higher than in a village and crimes usually happen every day.

Коронавирус
В декабре прошлого года вспышка пневмонии, вызванная неизвестным ранее типом коронавируса, была объявлена чрезвычайной ситуации. Вчера в Китае число зараженных новым коронавирусом превысило 17 тысяч человек. Из более 17 тысяч подтвержденных случаев заражения, 361 пациентов скончались. Судя по предыдущим двум дням, за сутки число заразившихся увеличивается на почти 3000 человек, а смертельных случаев — на около 50.
Вчера во всем мире за пределами материкового Китая число заболевших пневмонией, вызываемой неизвестным ранее видом коронавируса, достигло 182 человек.
У нас на работе отменились занятия. Так как это последняя неделя работы для меня, занятия не перенесутся.

Turm der Sinne
Ich habe dieses Wochenende ein Reisetipp in einem Reiseführer gelesen. Es handelt sich um ein besonderes Museum, das heißt "turmdersinne". Das Museum liegt in Nürnberg, und zwar befindet sich es in einem mittelalterlichen Stadtmauerturm.
Das Konzept des Museums ist einfach, es präsentiert Gegenstände nicht im klassischen Sinne, sondern in einem Weg, der uns fragen müssen, was ist für uns wahr und was ist nicht.
Zum Bespiel, es gibt ein Zimmer im Museum, wo man sich einem Moment wie einen Riese fühlen kann und dann plötzlich wie einen Zwerg.
Kurz gesagt, das Museum stellt die Frage, sind unsere Sinne unfehlbar? Und die Antwort ist ein deutliches Nein.

정신과 다니는 것이 창피한 일은 아니다
한국 사람들은 정신과 다니는 사람들에 대한 편견이 있다. 내가 이 나라에 처음 왔을 때부터 그 것이 좀 이상하다고 생각했다. 흔한 감기에 걸려서 기침만 한두 번이나 하면 주변에 있는 사람들이 바로 "병원에 가라!"고 제언하는데 일상행활에 훨씨 더 안 좋은 영향을 미칠 수 있는 정신병에 걸리면 편하게 정신과에 가서 진단을 받을 수 있는 환경은 아니다. 정신병에 대한 사회적인 오명이 있는데 그런 오명 때문에 수많은 사람이 필요한 치료나 도움을 받지 못한다고 느끼게 된다.
몇 주일에 갑자기 아파져서 조퇴했다는 얘기를 이 사이트에 올렸다. 그 후로 이런저런 병원을 많이 가 봤는데 매번 의사 선생님은 나의 몸에 문제 가 없다고 알려줬다. 이유는 그 날 당한 증상들이 육체적인 문제에서 나오는 증상은 아니었기 때문이다. 공황 발작이라는 무서운 것을 겪었다.
공황 발작의 증상들 중에서 식은 땀 흘림, 숨 가쁨, 질식하는 느낌, 빠른 심박수 등이 있다. 누구나 그런 증상이 생기면 심장 마비나 엄청 위험하고 심한 병에 결렸다고 생각할 만하다. 그런데 일상생활 속에서 받은 걱정이나 스트레스가 계속 쌓이면 공황 발작이 생길 수 있다. 어떨 때 스트레스를 많이 받지 않은 사람들도 공황 발작을 당할 수 있다고 정신과 의사에게 들었다.
나는 요즘 정신과 잘 다니고 있고 그 덕분에 잘 살고 있다. 일하면서 나의 숨소리에 집착하지 않고 수업을 제대로 가르칠 수 있다. 내가 혼자 있을 때 공황 발작이 또 생기는 것에 생각하면 더이상 두려워하지 않는다. 나는 별 걱정 없이 평범하게 살 수 있고 그 것이야말로 큰 축복인 것 같다.

In the last post i wrote about the habits and what it are. In this post i want to write about how work and the next post i'll write about how we building it.
Well, how i said. The habits are the results about how your brain made to save energy and for that build a system which consist to create a any action in a automatic action only if that is constantly repeated.
Talking in biological terms when you are learning something new, into your brain, begins to building a connections between neurons and every time you do that action, the connections start to get more strongly. Is like a dirt road, when if the people start to driving it, the road it become in a route and then in a highway.

Klonoa kommt aus der Welt von Träume. Er reist durch Träume, um Alpträume zu besiegen. Ebenfalls ist er ein Charakter aus einem Videospiel! Als Kind habe ich es geliebt, Klonoa zu spielen. Seit vielen Jahren haben die Entwickler des Spiels jedoch nichts über Klonoa gesagt. Und seit der letzten Veröffentlichung sind viele Jahre vergangen. Viele warten auf die Rückkehr von Klonoa!

映画の批評
この前の木曜日に「天気の子」と言う映画を見ました。日本で去年に出したのにアメリカで今月まで出しませでした。「天気の子」と２０１６年に出した「君の名は」と言う映画は監督が新海・誠先生です。その映画はパソコンで去年に見ました。
「天気の子」には、ほどかと言う高校の少年が東京へ逃げることまで田舎の村に住んでいました。ここに、ひなと言う少女に会います。この時に未だしりません、でもひまさんは天気の力があります。雨を止めることと出来ます、「日光の少女」ですから。しかし、すっかりとめにひなさんをこの世界から空へ運びます。警察が追うをほどかさんはひなさんが力を生えるにお寺の鳥居に入てひなさんを土へつれて帰ります。雨もつれて帰ります。
「君の名は」にも少女や少年や東京があります。たきと言う青年が東京に住んでいて、でも優しくないお父さんが村長する町にすんでいます。夜に二人の心が体を替わります。未だ分からない、でも時間も替わります。たきさんの時はみつはさんがすでに死んでいます、流星が村に打ちましたから。たきさんは高校の時に打つた、しかし其れにしりませんでした。未だ一同替わるないのでした。みつはさんを助けに、みつはさんの体いるたきさんが行った御神体にかえって一打の日へかえります。みつはさんと他人が助かります、でも二人が最早しりません。とうとう、映画の切りにたきさんとみつはさん東京の下町に改めて会います。
「天気の子」と「君の名は」が両方とも非常に良い映画ですね。そうして、ラッドウィンプスと言うバンドが書くをとてもすごいサントラがあります。でも、君の名はが一番大好きです。天気の子より、深くて面白いのです。時々劇的で嬉しくて悲しい、切りが悲喜交々から、見て勧めますよ〜！

日記（第４３番）：親子丼の作り方
家庭料理の親子丼ができました。とても美味しかったです。作り方がお手伝いさんから習ったので、今は、自分で手作りの親子丼が作られます。料理で使う言葉がよく分からないので、このレシピを書き、新しい単語を勉強しようと思います。
まずは、ご飯を水につけて、３０分を待ちます。そして、水を炊飯器にちょっと注いで、ご飯をそこに置いて、また三十分を待ちます。こんな感じに、ご飯ができます。
それから、残りのだしを冷蔵庫からとって、そのままで使っても大丈夫そうです。だしを鍋に注いで、沸いたまでにちょっと待ちます。
その間に（そのあいだに）、鶏肉を準備します。鶏ももを冷蔵庫からとって、ナイフで薄く切ります。ゆであがたっら、鶏ももを鍋に入ります。
そして、玉子も準備しないといけません。二個を冷蔵庫からとって、玉子を割って、器に注いで、しょうゆを少し入れて、スプーンでよく混ぜて、鍋に注ぎます。
そのあと、玉ねぎをもう切ったので、冷蔵庫からとって、鍋に入れて、しゃもじでよく混ぜます。もう少しで完璧になります。
しゃもじでご飯を炊飯器からとって、器に置いて、鍋にある食べ物を同じ器に置いて、親子丼ができました。

Hong Kong 1.2% Negative Growth First Time in 10 Years Due to Demonstrations
On the 3rd of February, Hong Kong announced that its annual, preliminary GDP growth for the year 2019 declined by 1.2% compared to the previous year. An all-year negative growth has been reported for the first time in 10 years, a year following the global financial crisis in 2008. This negative growth was a result of the U.S.-China trade war and a series of massive demonstrations that started last June. 2020 continues to be a harsh year as the consumption is estimated to fall due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. The growth rate for Q4 was -2.9%. A seasonally adjusted annual rate was -0.4% marking a continuous decline for three consecutive quarters. The reporter from the Hong Kong government expressed his concerns toward the forecast for2020, commenting, “The outbreak of the coronavirus will cause a great impact on consumption, tourism, and the overall Asian economy.” The main factor for negative growth was the drop in individual consumption that occupies 70% of the GDP. Private consumption expenditure declined by 1.1%.
From the beginning of 2019, high-income consumption stalled as the Chinese economy experienced stagnation.
With the development (?) of protests that started in June, most of the Chinese group tours were canceled, leading to a great decline in sales of jewelry and cosmetics.
Fixed capital formation such as capital investment declined by 12.2%.
Hong Kong is experiencing negative growth for the third time after its return from China in 1997. The first time was in 1998 due to the Asian financial crisis with a 5.9% decline, and the second time was in 2009 after the global financial crisis from the previous year with a 2.5% decline.
The last decade saw a growth average of 2.8%, however, 2019 worsened both domestic and international economic situation due to the trade friction and protests.
The GDP of the neighboring Shenzhen in Guangdong Province surpassed Hong Kong’s GDP for the first time in 2018 and further increased the lead in 2019. The preliminary index from the statistics bureau of Shenzhen city reported a 6.7% growth in 2019. In addition to Shenzhen, other cities from mainland China that had higher GDPs than Hong Kong were Shanghai and Beijing. Guangzhou and Chongqing are catching up to Hong Kong and may possibly surpass in 2020.
Although massive protests in Hong Kong are slowing down, a negative economic impact from the outbreak of coronavirus is unavoidable. In an effort to prevent the virus from spreading, the government halted accepting tourists from the mainland. Tourist facilities including Hong Kong Disneyland have closed one after another.
In 2003, when SARS broke out, the GDP fell in the second quarter, however, it picked up to positive growth in the third quarter. Annually, 2003 marked 3.1% growth.

1) 형제자매 간에 사이가 좋은 편입니까?
a. 저의 제일 나이 많은 형이 랑 사이가 나쁘지 않지만 좋지 않다. 저는 어렸을 때 형이 다른 집에서 살았고 많이 못 같이 놀았다. 그리고 우리는 다른 것에 관심이 있다. 두번째 형이 랑 사이가 좋다. 우리 재미있게 지내고 많이 같이 웃기지만 어렸을 때 저는 형을 많이 방해했다. 남동생이랑 좋은 사이가 있다. 우리 같이 컴퓨터게임 많이 하고 비슷한 농담을 좋아하다. 여동생이랑 잘 지내고 있었는데 가끔 싸우다. 우리 차를 공유해야 했으니 둘 다 쓰고 싶었을 때 싸웠다. 그런데 형제들 다 사랑하다.
2) 여러분은 형제가 많은 것과 형제가 적은 것 중에서 어느 것을 더 좋아합니까? 그 이유는 무엇입니까?
a. 조금 이기적인데 형제가 적은 것 더 좋은 것 같다. 형/누나/오빠/언니 한나 있거나 남/여 동생 하나 있었으면 좋겠다. 왜냐하면 형제가 있으면 같이 놀 사람 항상 있을 것 같은데 부모님이 랑 시간 많이 보낼 수 있거든요. 그리고 아기들 많지 않으면 부모님은 돈을 더 잘 모을 수 있어서 더 좋은 편이다.

Goldman Sachs to Provide Financing Service to Amazon Sellers
Goldman Sachs, American, is reportedly negotiating to partner with the E-Commerce giant, Amazon, on the possibility of providing a loan service for Amazon sellers.
In addition to its internet bank, Goldman Sachs is looking for an opportunity to include a wider customer-base by using Amazon’s network. This negotiation has explicitly (illustrated? signified? showcased?) Goldman’s intention to further expand financial business targeting to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and consumers.
The negotiation between two companies was reported online on the British Financial Times, both sides acknowledging the facts.
Amazon already provides their unique loan service to its sellers. The new collaborative service with Goldman Sachs is planned to launch in March with the Goldman’s brand name attached (?) to it.
Goldman Sachs’ PR refused to comment on this matter.
This partnership can be beneficial to Goldman Sachs (How can I make this sentence more creative…?).
They have been providing loans to SMEs and individuals through their internet bank “Marcus” since 2016. The selling point of that was the application of information technology and a low management cost without the need to have brick-and-mortar stores. However, they were lacking contacts with the customers. Having a possible opportunity to provide service to Amazon’s sellers’ network will lead Goldman to gain potential customers.
One of the growth strategies for Goldman Sachs is strengthening financial services towards consumers and SMEs. In addition to the internet bank “Marcus”, Goldman has partnered with Apple in August 2019 to enter the credit card market. With an intention to establish a stable income structure, Goldman Sachs is seeking means to avoid complete dependence on the traditional stock and trading businesses.

Website translation
Today i completed a new translation from english to my mother tongue.
Thats a great satisfaction!
I'm studying english since the school time and I love practicing it with my foreign friends here, in Italy, and abroad through the internet.
I find this language really fascinating and I'm taking the habit to both read and listen news, podcast and shows in english.
I hope to fine people who, just like me, love thinking and practicing in other languages.
I wrote this journal all "in one breath" to prove to my-self my writing skills.
Please help me improving with your correction, I'll do my best to learn from it and to check it back when you'll post in Italian.
