Agree or disagree: Improving relations with other Asian nations should be priority for the Japanese government
Improving relationships with Asian nations should be a priority for the government, because those countries are close not only geographically but also economically and culturally. It is true that relationships with Western countries are also important, but Asian countries cannot be underestimated as partners.
Firstly, since Asian countries are geographically close, political problems with them easily become serious and may trigger a conflict. Therefore, getting along well with those countries is necessary for national security.
Secondly, Asian countries, especially China, are strongly connected to Japan economically. Now, those countries produce most of the products that Japan imports. It can be said that the Japanese society can be sustained without workers in Asian countries. For example, China is now the biggest trade partner.
Finally, as an Asian country, Japan has many things in common with Asian countries. The Chinese characters we use today came from China. Buddhism, which rooted deeply in Japanese culture, is still believed many Asian countries. In the past few years K-pops gained huge popularity in Japan.
Japan has become one of the most developed countries in Asia and has a strong connection with Western countries. However, I strongly believe that we should remember Japan is a member of Asia.

Lieve Joelle,
Ik was in jouw bed and breakfast afgelopene zommer op bezoek. Misschien kan je je nog herinneren. Wat jammer dat je jouw bedrijf nu eenzaam verder moet voeren. Hoe pakt je dat aan? Had je in het begin veel hulp nodig gehad?
Ik zal volgende zommer weer komen! Ik zou graag in een ander kamer willen wonen. Het bekt een goed idee om op elk volgende vakantie een andere kamer te nemen. Je hebt er vier en ik ben ervan overtuigd, dat de andere kamers precies so leuk zijn, zoals die ik afgelopene keer had besproken. En, lieve Joelle, ik heb een ideetje voor jou hoe je het nog gezelliger kan maken! Het zou geweldig kunnen zijn als je op het dakterras een projectiescherm ophing. Dan kon men avonds een of ander italiaanse flim met behulp van een beamer kijken. Wat voor een sfeer zou het worden!

J'ai lu une petit phrase hier qu'il a me marqué . Le phrase dit: Un apprendre la grammaire à partir de la langue, n'est pas la langue à partir de la grammaire (Lernt Grammatik aus der Sprache, nicht Sprache aus der Grammatik). C'est une phrase du siècle 19, c'étáit ecrit pour les auteurs Toussaint and Langenscheidt.
Alors j'ai pensé que déjà tant temps qu'il ya un méthode très moderne de apprentissage et encore ils insistent enseigner dans les ecoles le même manière, pour le grammaire. C'est tant triste.

Hoy mi novio y yo estábamos caminando en el parque cuando empezó a llover. Pensamos que sería mejor ir al estación de metro más cerca en vez de quedarnos afuera donde corrimos en peligro de un rayo. Desafortunadamente, llovió más y más fuerte hasta que estábamos empapados hasta debajo de nuestros chubasqueros. Tuvimos tiempo para cambiarse de ropa y secarse antes de reunirnos con uno de sus viejos amigos, pero solo tengo un par de zapatillas conmigo así que puse bolsas de plástico encima de los calcetines para evitar que los pies se mojaran de nuevo.

O governo dos Estados Unidos promoveu o desenvolvimento de pesca na península e a criação de gado ao norte, no Vale Matanuska. Agora, o turismo tornou-se uma parte importante da economia local.

About the three Japanese words: かすみ, きり, and もや
Today’s topic is the difference among three words, Kasumi(霞/かすみ), Kiri(霧/きり), and Moya(靄/もや).
-- 霞(かすみ/Kasumi): haze, mist; dimness(of sight);
-- 霧(きり/Kiri): fog, mist; spray;
-- 靄(もや/Moya): mist, haze;

I didn’t know that, but they all are defined as ‘mist,’
I could agree with that somehow since they are similar to each other as a weather moisture condition.
However, they are different in sound and kanji characters, so I was interested in the difference and tried to think of it.
Now, I will talk about how I feel about these words or what I remember from them, away from a weather perspective.
# かすみ [ 霞 ] (Kasumi)
かすみ will be good goes with fantasy, myths, or fairytales.
It reminds me of the phrase: 「仙人は、かすみを食って生きている」(Sen'nin ha, *kasumi* wo kutte ikite iru.)
( "Sennin(an immortal mountain hermit) survives eating Kasumi (mist around the top of mountains)" )

Against that, About the phrase "仙人は、きりを食って生きている" (that is rephrased from "仙人は、かすみを食って生きている" replacing "かすみ" into "きり"), it sounds like physical mist and less mysterious feel. To put it in extreme terms, using きり would mean the 仙人(Sennin) is just a strange man, and the きり feels just the mist, water from the weather condition.
I think "かすみ" is put in words about the existence that happens far away from human beings. For example, it is like the mist of a mountain that is far from people.
That's why "かすみ" is easy to feel the distance, compared to "きり" or "もや."
# きり [ 霧 ] (Kiri)
In places not so beyond from people living, such as some forests or towns, the word “きり” will often suit.
Speaking of "きり," I remember the phrase "霧の街、ロンドン"(kiri no machi, rondon // a city of fog, London). When it comes to describing with "London" the town, "きり" seems to be the best word opposed to either "もや" or "かすみ." That’s because of the feeling from the word about the distance between the circumstance and people, I think.
# もや [ 靄 ] (Moya)
When I heard the word "もや," I could associate the word with the condition that the mind is vague. I much use or see the term to express as a metaphor, than an actual weather condition. Come to think of it, one of the onomatopoeia phrase "もやもや" includes "もや" as well. It might be related to the metaphoric meaning of "もや."
And I think you would intend to show more the unclear state rather than some moisture condition.

Exam season is over
Good news!
All the school exams will be finish within this week.
Let’s have the best summer holiday ever…
I am not a student anymore, so why do I care?
For the last 3 moths all the public study room was open between 8am-10pm.
But next week due to the exam season will be over.
The open/close time will back to 9am-8pm.
Bad news for me!
A public study room is the best “home” for poor people like me.
Free WIFI, good air-condition, nice toilet….
I wish they open 24 hours.
If the school exam period is change to 12 months not just 3 months.
They will be a good news for me.

What do you think that children use computers every day and what are the advantages or disadvantages of it? This is an interesting question. Everything has its dual character and this one is no exception.
I think children can develop their brain, get in touch with new things and master advanced science and technology by using computers, but they should not use them every day, because doing so will be harmful to children's health. For example, long time use of computers can hurt children's eyes, and if they play games on computers they will get addicted to them. Meanwhile, using too many computers will lead them to lack outside activities and that is also a bad thing for their body. These are just part of the advantages and disadvantages of children using computers every day. Let's call it a day today and we will discuss it next time.

Diary: Cheating Time (pt.2)
Then I adjusted my Langcorrect time zone to the US, which is a bit of a game cheat.
To be honest, my personal time is very "American Style" - they're in the morning and evening, so they're pretty much in sync with the US time zone. On top of that many of the social apps I use are based on ET time and always update at 12:00 Beijing time. Spotify, for example, doesn't have a mainland China region, so I buy the US region for the sake of a comprehensive music library. Daily recommendations are updated at that time. I volunteer at Wiki fandom, and its daily checkout is also at that time. A lot of the people and groups I follow on the social media apps are from Europe or the Americas, so I would naturally bring myself into their time zone. Needless to say, the Internet has divided my time.

Los libros electrónicos
Desde su creación, los libros electrónicos solo se han aumentado en número. Sin embargo, ¿de verdad se pueden apoderar los libros de papel? Pues... la respuesta sencilla es no, o al menos por el momento. No significa que no haya ventajas de usarlos. No necesitas muchas copias para compartir tu libro con los demás. De hecho, incluso una sola copia se puede leer por miles de gente a la vez. Además, no se hacen de papel, y por lo tanto no contribuyen a la desforestación. Pero, al fin y al cabo, parece que la mayoría prefiere leer los libros de papel. ¿Cuál es su razón? Tal vez sea porque son relativamente nuevos. Otra razón podría ser que los libros electrónicos no están disponibles a todos. No sé por qué, pero yo también prefiero leer los libros de papel. Hay algo que encuentro reconfortante de ellos. Podrá ser que los libros electrónicos se volverán más popular en el futuro, pero por el momento, los libros de papel están aquí para quedarse.

Langue que je n'apprendrai jamais
La langue que je n'apprendrais jamais, c'est absolument l'espéranto. Je n'ai pas l'intention de critiquer les étudiants qui l'apprend : c'est juste que ça ne me parle pas. C'est une langue artificielle, et il n'y a pas de pays qui la désigne comme la langue officiel, ça veut dire qu'il ne contient pas vraiment la culture en soi. À mon avis, la langue se développe dans la vie quotidienne en étant ancrées dans la culture, l'environement, et la communication entre les habitants qui s'installent au même endroit longtemps. Je ne peut pas sentir cette sorte de développement dans cette langue construite, ce qui la rend moins intéressante pour moi.
Cela dit, j'aime le concept de cette langue. Le fondateur et le créateur de la langue, doctor Louis-Lazare Zamenhof, l'avais conçu en pensant que si il avait une langue en commune que tout le monde puissent parler, il n'y aurait pas de guerre et on pourrait habiter en paix. Bien que je pense qu' il y ait beaucoup d'autre causes qui provoquent des batailles chez les Humains, c'est vrai que la différence de la langue cause des malentendus et de la défiance car ce n'est pas facile de véhiculer des messages qu'on veut transmettre et de se comprendre si on ne parle pas la même langue.

Blasée eller fiu
Det finns ett ord på franska som kan inte riktigt översättas på engelska eller svenska. Det svenska ordet skulle vara "utsliten" men jag tror att det inte betyder precis samma sak. Att vara "blasée" är i en temporär period. Om jag säger att jag är blasée, det inte betyder att jag är trött. Kanske det är att jag bryr mig inte om inget längre. Jag vill vara stanna kvar och göra inget.
Tahitiska har nästan samma ord
: "Fiu". Folket använder det i samma kontexter som "blasée".
Jag är blasée eller fiu idag. Jag hade ingen motivation att rita eller att gå för en promenad. Jag läste mycket och letade efter ett jobb. Jag känner mig lite ledsen inom mig men vet inte varför.
Jag läste fyra böcker i en vecka och är glad över det. Jag hade avslutade att läsa för ett långt tag men nu vill jag läsa mer och titta på Netflix mindre. Jag har faktiskt inte tittat på Netflix i en vecka nu så jag är lycklig.
Jag började en ny bok idag. Det heter The Midnight Library.
Det är svårt ibland att välja böcker att läsa. Jag bestämde mig att läsa en bok bara om jag hör om den mer än två gånger. Jag hörde om The Midnight Library fem gånger åtminstone sedan mars, på Reddit, Instagram, podcast och YouTube. Det var dags att börja det.
Okay det är nog långt.

Mi cumpleaños
Ayer fue mi cumpleaños y tuve un gran día. Mi esposo me regaló 2 regalos increíbles y tambíen me sorprendió en la mañana con rosas y un pastel de helado. Pastel de helado es mi pastel favorito, pero es muy difícil conseguirlo en Austria y entonces tuvo que pedirlo a medida. ¡Qué amable! En la tarde fuimos a un restaurante muy bien y comimos hamburguesas con queso y papas fritas con aceite de trufa. ¡La comida era muy deliciosa!

Je vous écris cette lettre au nom de tous les travailleurs qui vous employé pour vous exprimer nos préoccupations sur l'imposition de travail le dimanche.
Tout d'abbord, vous savez bien sûr que jusqu'ici nous avions la liberté de refuser le travail le dimanche quand vous nous offriez. Comme maintenant nous ne sommes pas libres de le refuser et que nous devons le faire au moins deux fois par moins, il y a quelques choses que nous devons vous informer.
Bien que le dimanche est un jour important pour l'economie du commerce où nous travaillons, la plupart de vos employés travaille déjà de lundi à samedi. Donc, il est important de vous souvenir que l'exccès de travail ne serait pas bien vu pour aucun de vos travailleurs ou même pour la mairie.
Ainsi, en souhaitant attendre le meilleur moyen de régler la situation, à fin de que le commerce peut bien marcher le dimanche et que nous pouvons travailler d'une façon plus organisé et respecté. Je vous conseillerais de contrater plus employés pour le commerce et de, si possible avec nous, organiser des horaires de travail par chacun de vos travailleurs. Puisque ainsi, le travailleur n'aura pas la besoin de travailler sept jours par semaine et nous aurions la possibilité de choisir un autre jour de la semaine qui nous serait meilleur à ne pas travailler, de mode à meilleurer la relation dont nous avons avec le boulot.
En vous remerciant para avance de l'attention que vous voudrez bien prêter à cette demande, nous vous prions, monsieur le patron, de recevoir nos sentiment les plus respectueuses.

Die Schweiz ist nicht in der EU
Ich habe das kürzlich erfahren und ein bisschen seltsam gefunden. Warum ist die Schweiz nicht in der EU? Es ist eine lange Geschichte, die mit der Neutralität der Schweiz verbunden ist. Seit 1815, kurz nach dem Sturz Napoleons, haben die Schweiz ihre Neutralität im Vertrag von Paris offiziell bestätigt, in eine Phase der Schweizergeschichte, die als "die Regeneration" bekannt ist. Von da an würde die Schweiz nicht mehr in bewaffnete oder politische Konflikte zwischen anderen Ländern verwickelt sein. Wahrend des ersten Weltkrieges war die Situation schwierig für die Schweizer, weil die Armee ziemlich klein war, trotzdem respektierten die andere Länder größtenteils die Neutralität der Schweiz. Im zweiten Weltkrieg war die Schweiz besser vorbereitet und hat Verteidigungen und Bomben rund um die Grenze und sogar in den Bergen installiert. Das Land hat weiter Geschäfte mit Länder im Konflikt gemacht und sogar viele Kunstwerke, die von den Nazis gestohlen wurden, gespeichert. Es bleibt bis heute ein neutrales Land, nur im Jahr 2002 trat es dem VN bei.

Мне кажется, что каждая новая модель айфона слегка отличается от прошлой, но эти разницы редко имеют огромное влияние на пользовательский опыт. Наверное, у меня циничная точка зрения здесь, но я думаю, что эта бизнес-модель больше связано с деньгами, чем с настоящими улучшениями технологии. Конечно же можно заметить значимый прогресс если сравнить последнюю модель айфона с первой или даже с моделей несколько лет назад. Однако не стоит заплатить почти долларов миллиона, чтобы покупать новый айфон раз в два года.
При каких обстоятельствах вы выключаете ваш телефон? Почему?
Я выключаю телефон во время встреч, уроков и работы. Иногда я забываю включить его вновь и пропускаю звонки. Полагаю, что это демонстрирует насколько неважен телефон для меня! Ночью я ставлю режим "не беспокоить" по очевидным причинам, но я всегда использую будильник на смартфоне. Я нашла приложение, которое заставит меня решать задачи по математике, чтобы выключить сигнализацию. Этим способом я полностью просыпаюсь вместо того, чтобы жать кнопку отбой и вернуться в кровать.
