Prompt: Moving for better pay
Prompt: Would you move to another country or city to get better paid?
I don't think I would move to another country for better pay. The cost of living is lower in my country, but that means the salaries are less too. I'm ok with making less money compared to other countries because I have a nice place to live. If I moved abroad I would also miss my friends and my family too much. I wouldn't want to move to a city either for work because I find rural living much more pleasant than the city.

Dovremmo mettere fine al uso dei monopattini?
Ho letto che in alcuni regioni d'Italia c'è stata un'impennata di casi per quanto riguarda gli incidenti coinvolgendo i monopattini, dopodiché è emersa quella domanda nella mia mente, dato che il modo in cui sono successi questi incidenti è simile a quegli incidenti di monopattini nel mio paese. Si trattano anche prevalentemente dell'utente investendo un passante sfortunato. Inizialmente, nessuno pensava che questo mezzo innocuo di trasporto potesse diventare un problema per la sicurezza pedone. Adesso, ci sono dei dubbi.
Ovviamente, dobbiamo ammettere che i monopattini hanno il loro lato positivo; si possono usarli per recarsi al lavoro o alla scuola invece di contare sull'autobus o il taxi, che contribuiscono alle emissioni di gas serra. Sono anche utili per i fattorini, che hanno bisogno di loro per realizzare rapidamente le consegni. Anche sono utili per esplorare la città per chi ha pigrezza a pedalare.
Però sappiamo che per qualsiasi cosa che ha il lato positivo, c'è il suo lato oscuro, e ovviamente i monopattini non ne mancano. Ad esempio, i monopattini di oggi sono ricaricabili. Questo però porta il rischio di bruciarsi, o peggiore, carbonizzarsi a causa di falli elettrici. È anche possibile che l'utente perdi il controllo quando anda in superfici più scivolose o ripide.
Pertanto, i monopattini sono troppi rischiosi da usare? No. Quello che dobbiamo fare è dare formazione alle persone che desiderano essere proprietari di questi mezzi. Sto parlando di sia lezioni practiche sia lezioni teoriche. Al fine sottoponiamo loro ad alcuni testi, per provare la loro conoscenza. Da questo potremo filtrare gli utenti più capaci di maneggiare i monopattini.

Meine Prüfungen sind vorbei
Ich bin so glücklich. Ich bin endlich durch mit meinen Prüfungen. Meine letzte Prüfung war am Freitag. Die Noten wurden noch nicht veröffentlicht, aber ich glaube, dass ich nicht durchfallen werde.
Es gab zwei Prüfungen, die schwer waren: Jahresabschlussanalyse und Controlling.
Die Professoren der Jahresabschlussanalyse sind Deutsche und arbeiten an der FH Bielefeld. Sie haben sehr hohe Erwartungen von uns und sie verstehen nicht wie schwer uns diese Vorlesung fällt. Ich habe auch viel gelernt aber die Prüfung war einfach zu lang und ich konnte nicht alle die Fragen antworten, aber hoffentlich reicht es die Prüfung zu bestehen.
Die Controlling Klausur war super schwer und auch sehr lang. Es gab insgesamt 18 Fragen auf 18 verschiedenen Excel-Seiten und wir hatten nur 45 Minuten. Das kann doch nicht dein Ernst sein!
Jetzt kommt das lustige Teil. Unser Professor hat aus Versehen fünf Stunden vor der Prüfung auf Google-Drive die Prüfung hochgeladen. Ich und meine Freundinnen haben versucht die Fragen zu lösen, und es hat wirklich fünf Stunden gedauert. Ich brauchte sogar mehr Zeit, aber natürlich habe ich die meisten Fragen gelöst.
Gestern wurde die Noten der Controlling-Klausur veröffentlicht. Ich habe einen 90 von 100 bekommen, und der Notendurchschnitt ist 45! Der Professor hat eine Ankündigung veröffentlicht und hat mich und die Freundin von mir für unsere Mühe bedankt. So lustig. Ich glaube, wenn wir die Prüfungsfragen nicht gefunden hätten, würden wir auch durchfallen.

I wonder I could enjoy everything at the age of 15. You have passed the high school examinations. The classroom you belong to is full of funny but nice guys and you made some good friends isn't it? Well, it must be correct because I feel so in the future.
Today I write this letter because I have one thing to tell you.
Remember, when you meet what you want to do, dedicate your time as much as possible and do your best. Because it is no exaggeration that everything I experienced when I was 15 years old had grown up me.
What you will enjoy, regret and overcome must make you strong mentally and give you some hints about your future life.

At first, I tried to practice my English reading skills with it.

Mon temps libre
J’ai beaucoup de temps libre depuis j’ai pris ma retraite, il y a trois ans. D’abord c’était un peu effrayant de ne pas avoir encore une routine quotidienne. Au fil de temps je me suis rendu compte que c’est un grand privilège de pouvoir choisir ses activités. Actuellement il n’y a pas de problème de remplir les journées.
Ce que j’aime bien faire est très varié. Le plus important est m’entraîner le corps et le cerveau. Alors, le matin je commence par faire un peu de yoga. Je viens à la salle de sport trois fois par semaine pour augmenter le pouls (la fréquence cardiaque ?) et faire de la musculation. Je me déplace en vélo ou au pied au centre ville toute l’année.
Je fais un peu de français tous les jours, au moins une heure, depuis deux ans. C’est ma session de formation pour le cerveau car le français est une langue très difficile. Si je réussi à l’apprendre ça sera une preuve qu’il n’est jamais trop tard à atteindre son objectif. Mais l’apprentissage d’un verbe irrégulier, c’est comme faire vingt pompes, c’est dur! Les mots croisés sont pour les autres retraités (mais franchement je le faire aussi temps en temps).
Je suis une partie d’un club littéraire, on se voit régulièrement pour discuter les livres. Parfois on ne partage pas la même opinion sur le contenu d’un livre, c’est très intéressant. Les interprétations diffèrent d'une personne à l'autre. J’aime aussi aller au cinéma, au théâtre et au musée, j’espère que ça sera bientôt possible comme dans la vie avant la pandémie.
En été j’habite dans mon cottage à l’archipel. Je reste au dehors toute la journée pour jardiner, tondre l’herbe, chercher des limaces (pour les décapiter) et je fais aussi un peu du bricolage. Je passe beaucoup de mon temps libre en profitant de la nature, ça me fait très plaisir.

Two of my hard thing in learning English
"What is the hardest thing you’ve ever tried to learn?"
I'm not sure what is the "hardest" thing.
However, two hard things came into my mind in learning English.
The one is the pronunciation related to the letter "r."
At first, I heard that you shouldn't put the tip of your tongue touching any part of your palate, but it didn't work for me. And then, I took several years to find some good hints to pronounce the sound. Now, I think my pronunciation is better than mine at that time.
The other one is to be familiar with the phrase "it's up to you"(be to somebody) to use it.
I wondered how "up" comes to mean that way, and I struggled.

Viel Lesen, nichts Schreiben
Warum ist schreiben wichtig? Ich versuche auf jeden Tag zu schreiben, um Deutsch oder irgendeine andere Sprachen zu lernen, aber ansonsten habe ich nicht die Gewohnheit gemacht, es regelmäßig in meiner Muttersprache zu tun. Als jemand, der viel Philosophie und Literatur liest, sollte ich nicht der Impuls haben, meine Gedanken darüber aufzuschreiben?
Die einzige Art von Lesen und Schreiben, die ich wirklich genieße, ist eine, der keinen ernstlichen Kenntnisanspruch hat, auch wenn es um ein philosophisches Thema geht.
Vielleicht bin ich zu viel von Barthes’ „Die Lust am Text“ beeinflusst worden, und kann nicht mehr einen Text außerhalb eines hedonistisches, selbstvergnügungsorientiertes Ansatz lesen.
Es stimmt, dass sogar eine oberflächliche, mengenorientierte Lektüre, wenn sie in einer Fremdsprache geführt wird, als umfangreiches Lesen begründet werden kann.
Trotzdem habe ich das Gefühl, dass zu viel Eingabe ohne Ausgabe, könnte mich zu einem geistlosen Konsumzombie verwandeln, also bin ich besser vorsichtig!

Hello everybody,
I am new here and I wanted to try this site. I wanted to improve my English and lost my fears to express in English.
I live in Germany in a small city at the north sea. My little flat has a garden. I enjoy to watch the birds and insects in spring and summer. Sometimes a cat from neighbors is visting me and jumps on the bench.
The sun is shining today and I will mow the lawn later. There is much work in a garden. However, I like also to sit there and read a book or drink a cup of tea and learn English.

Le Mauvais Taux de Vaccination à Hong Kong
Les vaccins contre le COVID-19 ont été disponible au public depuis février. Bien que la pandémie ait pris un grand nombre de victimes au cours des deux dernières années, le taux de vaccination à Hong Kong demeure bas, avec moins de 30% ayant reçu leur première dose. Pourquoi les gens sont si démotivé à vacciner ? La raison est composée de deux parties.
La première concerne des sentiments antivaccins. Ceux qui ont ces sentiments croient que ça ne vaut pas la peine de se faire vacciner, bien qu’ils nient pas les bienfaits.
Beaucoup de habitants ont exprimé leurs craintes des effets secondaires. Les reportages de quelques personnes qui ont décès peu après avoir pris le vaccin ont renforcé ces craintes, même si ces décès étaient causée par des raisons non liées. Les autres, en citant le développement accéléré des vaccins, choisissent à attendre pour voir s’il y a des effets à long terme inconnus.
La propagation limitée de COVID-19 à Hong Kong jusqu’à présent et le succès du gouvernement hongkongais dans l’éradication de SARS en 2002 sans l’utilisation des vaccins, ont fait quelque autres à croient qu’il n’y a pas besoin à vacciner et que la pandémie résoudra éventuellement. Pour eux, porter une masque, rester vigilante et l’hygiène personnelle suffisent.
La deuxième concerne des croyances politiques. Après les mouvements sociaux de 2019 à 2020, la méfiance contre le gouvernement et l’envie de le défier ont jamais été aussi élevées. Pour beaucoup de hongkongais, refuser le vaccin c’est refuser au contrôle du gouvernement et, par extension, de Pékin. Souvent, on peut entendre des arguments tels que « Ce que le gouvernement me demande à faire, je ferai le contraire » ou « Le programme de vaccination c’est simplement pour plaire Pékin ».

What a sad story – money can buy a friend
My birthday is July 5th but today I received a birthday card (one week early).
It was posted a handmade birthday from my ex-insurance agent.
Because I stop paying my fees more than 2 years.
For more than 10 years I have never receive any local mail from any person.
For more than last 20 years I have never a birthday card from any person.
Usually when receive a birthday card should be a happy emotion.
But in my case I am feeling 100% sadness!
I am past 50 already.
The only person will remember my birthday is my insurance agent.
God is publish me now and sending me a message.

Day Twenty-Eight: What are Your Plans for the Weekend?
My plans for the weekend are nothing so far. I have a couple of assignments so I would do them on weekend. If the weather is good, I would ride a bicycle. Otherwise, I'll read a book or watch a movie. I'm going to be inoculated with coronavirus vaccination this Friday. Perhaps, I wouldn't be able to do anything because of its side effect.

Board Games
Many board games are implemented as smart phone apps these days.
Chess, Go, Xiangqi, Mahjong, Othello and so on are possible to play.
On the plus side, these apps are so convenient to the player.
There is no need to prepare a board, stones and pieces to play.
Moreover, a user can play anywhere, anytime and with anyone.
But I think, it is better to player with a real board and pieces.
Real things help me work out strategies.
And I can make other board games for my kids with pieces.
In the end, I will teach the games to my kids with real boards.

compleanno
Per me è molto importante avere una torta fatta a casa e ad avere le candele esatte sulla torta. Quando ero una bambina e più tardi un'adolescente, non ho mai chiesto nient'altro dai miei genitori ma loro non hanno mai soddisfatto questa mia richiesta.
Adoro anche le sorprese, le feste organizzate per me ed avere i miei amici vicino a me. Se questo non è possibile (e di solito non è possibile) preferisco non festeggiarlo affatto.

Io non possiedo tante cose e specialmente non tante cose costose. Credo che la cosa più cara io abbia mai comprata fosse il biglietto d'aereo per venire a Nuova Zelanda. Se non parliamo di un singolo oggetto, potrei probabilmente menzionare il mio viaggio di sei mesi in Nord America e in Sud-est Asiatico.

l'oroscopo
Credo che essendo parte di un sistema molto più grande di noi, quel sistema (l'universo) debba avere un effetto su di noi. Credo che come il sole, anche la luna e le stelle abbiano un effetto e dalla mia esperienza, l'astrologia riesce a dare una spiegazione a qualche cosa che succede intorno e dentro di noi. Non parlo dell'oroscopo nelle riviste che ci dicono cosa succederà domani, ma a me sembra che le descrizioni complesse delle personalità siano sorprendentemente corrette e che una lettura astrologica piò aiutare ad orientarci nella carriera, nelle relazioni o nel sviluppo personale.
