Crayon Shin-chan Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkasu Academy
The movie follows Shinnosuke and his friends who enter a super elite boarding school for a week. And various strange things happen.
B: Have you seen "Tenkasu Gakuen"?
A: I've seen it recently! It was really good!
Have you seen it?
B: I haven't seen it yet.
I'm going to watch when it gets uploaded on a streaming service!
A: It's on Netflix!
B: Really?
I'll watch it this week!
A: I recommend it!
At first I thought it was more for kids than the usual Shinchan movies, but I shouldn't have made light of it! Gags were reserved though.
B: Were you moved?
A: Yeah.
It made me think about the idea of eugenics and equality.
B: It's a pretty deep theme.
A: It made me realize again, that everyone is different. Our uniqueness is what makes us wonderful.
B: Great point.
A: And, I'm getting used to the new voice actors' voice. Have you gotten used to it?
B: Well, I'm not used to their voices yet .
I really liked Yajima's and Fujiwara's voices. Did you like them both?
A: Of course! It's like I grew up with their voices.
But I think the two new voice actors have adjusted well to their roles as the characters' voices; they have improved since they took over the voice work.
B: They must be under a lot of pressure!
A: Absolutely.
B: What number is this movie in your list of favourite Shinchan films?
A: Hmmm, it's tied with "Yakiniku" and "Yumemi" for fourth! And _Ankoku_ would be nice!
B: Okay, in a nutshell, you love it all, huh? Haha. But do you also like "Yakiniku"?
A: Yeah, I like the ridiculousness of it. Haha What do you think?
B: Ummm, it's not my cup of tea.
I didn't really find it funny.
What's your third favorite?
A: "Robot to-chan"!
B: Nice! Some of scene I didn't make much sense, but lastly I was moved.
A: Yeah, I feel you.
B: Let me guess your first and second favourites.
A: Yeah. But can you do it? lol
B: Of course!
Well... I'm thinking of two options.
Let's see... So the first goes to "Adult" and the second to "Sengoku"!
A: Wrong! Haha
You put them in the wrong order.
B: Oh, c'mon! I screwed up the only two choices. Haha
A: But when I'm a little older, I'll maybe change my ranking to that you said.
What's your ranking then?

A: Have you seen "Robotoo-chan"?
B: What's that?
A: Crayon Shin-chan: Intense Battle! Robo Dad Strikes Back.
B: No, I haven't. what's it about?
A: Let's see... One day, hiroshi goes to a massage parlor, and his body is changed into a robot and he tries to get his real body back.
B: Hiroshi is the main character this time?
A: Well, it's like Shin-chan and Hiroshi are both main characters.
B: I see. I'll watch it!
-A week later
B: I watched "Roboto-chan".
It was good!
A: Great!
What's your score?
B: Seven.
A: That low? What part didn't you like?
B: No. It's not low. And I don't not like it. It wasn't bad and I was moved, but the comedy didn't click with me.
A: I see. I guess there're scenes you'd have to watch Japanese TV to understand it.
B: Probably.
What's your score?
A: 8 points
B: So it's not that different from mine. lol!
But why that score?
A: It had good animation. A famous director did part of the storyboard.
B: I see. what's their name?
A: Masaaki Yuasa
B: Are any of his movies are famous?
A: Lots. I think the most famous is, "The Night is Short, Walk on Girl".
His movies have unique worldviews and animations, so people tend to either love or hate them, but I think you should watch at least one.
B: I'll watch one!
A: Anyways, the best part of "Robo-To-chan" is the last scene!
B: I was moved by that scene too.
A: That scene was a tear jerker, yeah?
Everyone who saw it must have cried, right?
B: Absolutely! The way he intentionally lost made me cry.
A: I see... Me think that Hiroshi realizing he didn't belong there made him lose his strength
B: I see.
By the was, I couldn't understand when or why the father's and the mother's sides got along well.
A: Yeah, I feel you. I couldn't understand too. But it happens in this series. That's why this is Shin-chan movies, so don't think about it too deeply.
B: But what about "Adult" and "Sengoku"?
A: Those're an exception.

A: Have you seen "Sengoku" befor?
B: What's that?
A: Crayon Shin-chan: Fierceness That Invites Storm! The Battle of the Warring States.
B: No. I've never seen it. What's about it?
A: Do you know Crayon Shinchan?
B: Yes.
A: The movie is about how Shinnosuke suddenly slips back in time to the Tensho Era and live and tries to return to the original world.
B: Oh, sounds good! I'll watch it when I have time!
A: Yeah, lemme know if you watch it!
B: Sure!
10days later
B: By the way, I watched it! Crayon Shinchan's movie!
A: Ohhh, what was it?
B: It was very good!
A: Oh, I'm glad! Did you cry?
B: I didn't.
A: Seriously?
B: Did you cry?
A: I cried ten times.
B: Really?
A: Yea.
Since the characters live in an era where they can't say what they wanna say, the theme of impossible love is shown clearly. Even Shinnosuke couldn't tell the truth until the very end, but he kept his promise to Matabei by performing "Kincho".
B: "Kincho" enhances the quality of this movie.
A: Yeah, exactly!
Also, Matabee's end made me cry.
B: Oh, I almost cried there!
A: I cried from the scene, but some anime lovers have a bit of a problem with that scene.
B: Why?
A: Crayon Shin-chan is an anime about a never-ending daily life, so Shinnosuke is not allowed to cry
B: Not allowed to cry?
A: Yes, crying means growing up, which is not allowed in this anime where the characters don't age!
If Shin-chan cries, people will think he has grown up.
B: I see.
A: But, I don't really care.
B: Me neither.
I don't really agree with that analysis.
A: I'm with you.
B: Also, the last scene where he looks up at the sky was very moving.
A: Fo sho.
It felt like they were connected too each other, even though it was happening at different times.
The contrast between a lone Ren looking up at the sky in a time when she was not allowed to fall in love because of her status, and then everyone looking up at the sky because they were born in a time when it was possible to fall in love with anyone was very well done.
B: True.
There is a live-action version of this movie, right?
A: Yeah! It's not good at all, though.
B: Really?
A: This movie is about an impossible love caused by a system, but it isn't depicted at all in the live action movie.
B: For example?
A: The theme of not being able to say "I love you" is important, but the main character in the live-action version just says that, "Matabei likes the princess."
The live action-movie was called "Ballad", but with how annoying the kid was, it shoud have been called "Brat" instead
B: That's seems hopeless...
A: It's the worst movie ever. There are so many other things that aren't good about it!
B. This may seem out of the blue, but do you know what a nanban-armour is?
A. I think it's old armour.

A: Have you seen this?
B: I haven't.
A: I recommend this one too!
It may not be as well-received overseas as “Sengoku,” but it’s also a Japanese anime classic.
B: What's the story?
A: The plot revolves around a villain who attempts to transform Japan into Showa-era Japan, and the protagonist and his friends attempt to stop the villain.
B: That sounds interesting. Do you know the title in English?
A: Crayon Shin-chan: Fierceness That Invites Storm! The Adult Empire Strikes Back.
B: Thanks! I'll watch it!
A: Lemme know your point out of 100, if you watch it!
B: Ok!
-10days later
B: By the way, I watch crayon shinchan's movie! It was good.
A: Ohh, what's your score out of 100?
B: Hmmm, 70!
A: That's Low!
B: Is that so?
What about you?
A: 90
B:That's High! Was it that good?
A: It's based on Japan in the Showa period, so it may be difficult for foreigners to understand many of its scenes.
B: But that was before you were born too, right?
A: I've seen a lot of it on TV and stuff.
B: I see. Didn't Shin-chan grow up quite a bit? Characters in a continuing animated series aren't allowed to grow up, right?
A: Shin-chan hasn't grown up, because he said that the reason he protected Japan was because "I wanna date with many women in the future," so Shin-chan is still the Shin-chan.
B: But I could bit understand how the villain felt.
A: Me too!
I understand so much about wanting to go back to those days and stay the way I were.
But this movie makes me think, "That’s not any good." "Move forward!"
B: Good point.
By the way, there really were places like that, weren't there?
A: Yes, there were, before I was born.
I heard on the tv that the Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo will be held again in 2025.
B: Oh, good! I'd like to go there.
A: Let's go together!

B: It's been so hot lately, huh?
A: Yeah, I can really feel the effects of global warming. The other day on the news, Greenland had several days of unusually high temperatures, and the rapidly melting ice was pouring into the ocean. The temperature there's also said to be about 5 degrees higher than normal. And from the 15th to the 17th, more than 6 billion tons of ice melted per day. Isn't that crazy, 6 billion tons? It's beyond bad that I started laughing! According to them, that's enough to fill the Olympic swimming pool 7.2 million times. In one day!
If all the ice in Greenland were to melt, the world's sea level would rise about 7.5 meters.
B: I wonder how much of the ice has melted.
A: I don't know, but from spring to July this year, the temperature rose unexpectedly and almost the entire surface of the ice sheet melted, raising the global sea level by 1.5 mm.
B: I thought it was only 1.5 mm, but that's 1.5 mm in about 3 months. I wonder what the future holds, huh?
A: True. Snow and ice effectively reflect sunlight, making it difficult for the ground and oceans to receive solar energy. However, as temperatures steadily rise due to global warming, snow and ice'll naturally melt more easily. As the snow and ice melt, the dark-colored ground and oceans are exposed, dramatically increasing the absorption of solar energy. As a result, global warming'll further accelerate. This is why the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere are the most vulnerable to changes caused by climate change. Even Japan is feeling the effects of climate change in the form of an increase in extremely hot days, right? But these northern hemisphere high latitudes, such as Greenland, are more affected by global warming. So I hope that more attention'll be paid to the fact that more drastic changes're occurring in the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, and that each of us will become more aware of the measures we can take to combat climate change in order to create an environment that'll be easier to live in the future.

I attended my first festival this summer! It's a rather small festival that takes place every year just a few kilometers from where I live. I've never heard of it though, until my brother told me about it a few weeks ago. So, I looked up a few of the bands playing, took my camping hammock and went there.
The reason, why I've never been to a festival, is the price. These events are quite expensive. But this festival was really convenient for me. Also thanks to my brother, I could work part time in the kitchen. In return I got free entry and some festival-money for beer and food.
On the first day, me and a friend sold food to the - often drunk - costumers. While working, we could enjoy the concerts and each others company. On the second day however, I worked at the crepe station. And oooooh boi that was a nightmare. At the beginning of my shift I was tired already, but also motivated to learn how to make proper, round crepes. Little did I know that for the next four hours not only wouldn't I be able to take a break, but also had to deal with demanding costumers, missing incredience and a lack of support from the festival producers. At some point, the circle-movement of making a crepe was hipnotising for my tired brain. I remember that one time, I starred at the baking dough for way too long, forgetting the world around me. When I stepped out of my trance, the costumer next in line looked at me worried... and ordered a ham and cheese crepe.
I didn't listen to a lot concerts that second day and learned that a free entry isn't worth working at the crepe station. But let's look on the bright side of it: I defenitely know how to make proper, round crepes. Nevertheless, I don't know how tasty they are. I had no time to make one for myself.

A few months before the war broke out in Ukraine, my younger son told me he wanted to become a soldier. So he enrolled in an academy and has been studying since then to take the exam and achieve his goal. Soldiers have a stable job until they turn 30. However, if they want to end their professional career in the army, what they have to do is to study to get promoted before they are 30 years old.
Spain is a very curios country: Most people would like to become civil servants but just a few would like to become soldiers. Being a civil servant means having a stable job for life. Keeping in mind the high rate of unemployment that there has always been in Spain, it’s no wonder that so many people want to become civil servants. Civil servants’ benefits don’t end here. Civil servants have more days off than people who work in most private companies. They also have unparalleled job stability. A civil servant will never be fired, unless he or she has done something really serious. I know all of that from my experience working for a subcontracted company which in turn worked for a state-owned company. Right now, in Spain, there are about 2.700.000 civil servants, give or take, among those working for the different autonomous communities, the local administrations, and the central administration. State Hospitals, primary and secondary public schools, public universities, ministries, and the army are just a few examples of the places in which civil servants work. Every time there is a public examination to become a civil servant, tens of thousands of people take the exam to work for the state administration. Most civil servant candidates spend years trying to achieve it. Not only because of the difficulty of the exam itself but also for the scandalously high number of candidates who take the exam.
The reason why Spain is such a curious country is because even though there are so many people wanting to work for the state administration, just a few want to join the army. This is something that migrants who come to Spain can’t understand. Why are Spaniards so unwilling to join the army which would mean having a job for life while defending their own country? Don’t Spaniards feel proud of their own country? Now that there is an ongoing war, I see people from many European countries willing to give their lives for their countries. If the time came, I’m not completely sure we would do so.
