British Culture Day
- My idea is that the first event for the the British Culture Day could be named 'Bringing the words to life' and it would involve some volunteer students staging 5 min. extracts from enduring classic plays and novels like 'The Importance of Being Earnest or The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde or Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw.
- Sounds really good for the first part of a draft agenda but we still need the middle and the closing parts, as well as to fill the breaks somehow.
- I suggest conducting a quiz on British traditions and celebrations as the next item. For the closing part the audience might be entertained by some of our students or some of the school singing club members performing modern songs by well known artists who have received numerous accolades like Adele, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa or James Arthur.
- Looks like we're going to have 3 competitions in the areas of acting, singing and basic knowledge on British Culture. How shall we select and reward the winners?
- A previously appointed jury could choose 3 best performers in each of the 3 categories. For the awards, I hope, the Parents Board has reserved some budget.
- True. What about refreshments?
- I reckon that two 5 min. breaks in between the events might be used for an afternoon tea banquet. Hence another group of students would be responsible for preparing select teas, sandwiches, petite cakes and scones with clotted cream.
- Yes, it's going to be massive but we're only half way through the planning. We also need some esthetic decor to put the participants in the right mood and to create welcoming atmosphere.
- Ok, I'll face this challenge . I'll just need a large pinboard, a few postcards with British cities, some cardboard letters to fix the name of the event and a Union Jack.
- Of course, what remains is a list of guests. All the students and the teachers who have lessons between 2 and 4 p.m. will undoubtedly make up the audience.
- Nothing easier than that. To my mind we should invite our school's authorities, the representatives of the Parents Board and of the education section in the British Embassy.

writer's block
Hello today it gives not a story or something else but the truth. It iso today I have no ideas. Is so annoying when that happed. Sometimes I can't more write and knew the websites has ideas. Is just boring to me the ideas are so normally. That is why I write my own stories. But today I have no idea well I write about my writer's block. My brother says I must write a text every twice day of the week, but it is not easy. The ideas to found in your head can sometimes be a challenge.
By the next time I have more but today there is nothing in me. No idea to write so I write about my true life. It is not the first time sometimes I write about my school and my family or themes. That a many easier and better. So, thanks for listening and by the next story I have more to say. That is what I hope so goodbye.

오늘 제가 좋아하는 재즈 노래의 가사를 한국어로 번역해 봤습니다. 원본을 궁금하시다면 Notes를 참고해 주세요.
이 노래는 1964년에 We Insist! (우리가 주장한다!)란 앨범에서 Freedom Day (자유의 날)이란 제목을 갖고 나타난 작곡인데 역사상 아주 중요한 노래로 보입니다. 일단 이 노래는 1862년에 링컨 대통령이 선언한, 1865년에 법이 된 노예해방령의 100년제를 기념하는 작곡입니다. 미국에서 사는 흑인들이 "자유"를 얻었지만 대부분의 흑인들이 투표도 못하고 백인이 쓰는 시설도 못 써서 진짜 자유가 결국 아니었습니다. 그래서 이 노래가 쓰인 시기는 막 1950년 60년대의 시민평등운동이었는데 노래가 말하는 자유는 옛날 노예들의 자유뿐만 아니라 여러 자유의 뜻을 나타내는 것 같습니다.
올해 4월에 앨범은 문화적, 역사적으로 중요하다고 미국의회도서권에서 유산으로 등재됐습니다. 그 시기의 성급함을 나타내듯이 녀래의 박자가 아주 빠른 한 400BPM 속도입니다. 노래 가사도 다른 노래처럼 박자에 딱 맞추지 않고 좀 자유스러운 편인 것도 들릴 수 있습니다. 그래도 가사를 한국어로 번역할 때 원본에 조금이라도 맞추려고 했습니다.

Challenge, Day 30
Today is 30 day of my daily English challenge. I read through the corrections I got yesterday. I understand them and the advice that came with them.
Today, I had breakfast, I took a shower, I cleaned the house, then I cooked red Tunisia pasta. It was delicious!
In the afternoon, I reviewed five lessons in Spanish, then I reviewed three lessons in English. I watched a vlog on Youtube in English. My aim has always been to be a good listener and to get used to hearnig English.
After going to bed, I'll prepare my planner for next month because I specifically want to improving very well in English and also Spanish.
I am grateful for this website and everyone who has helped me thus far.

Les arts martiaux
Les arts martiaux sont un sujet intéressant. Quand j’étais jeune, j’ai fait plutôt brièvement le taekwondo, qui est parmi les arts martiaux le plus pratiqués aux États-Unis, bien qu’il ait pour origine la Corée. En plus d’être un bon moyen de s’étirer les muscles et faire un peu de cardio, puisque le Taekwondo œuvre beaucoup sur la maîtrise de soi et la perfection de gestes, il porte un côté philosophique qui peut être très bénéfique pour les pratiquants. On doit apprendre donner aux choses l’attention qu’ils méritent, mais qu’en revanche, la perfection de gestes n’arrive qu’un fois on se vide de ses efforts. Donc, je pense que ça aurait pu être bien si j’avais continu avec le Taekwondo.

今日はまたiTalkiのレッスンを受けました！先生と一緒にフリートーキングをしたり、易しい日本語の記事を読んだり、ちょっとだけ文法を勉強しました。今日のレッスンはすごく面白かったです。勉強した文法は日本語で沢山ある4文字の小さい「っ」が入っている副詞（例えば「はっきり」や「しっかり」など）でした。全部の副詞がすごく似ていて、勉強にくいですから、先生と一緒に相談したかったです。
フリートーキングで藤井風さんの音楽について話しました。「罪の香り」という歌で「抜き足差し足忍び足」ということわざを使っています。初めて聞いた時、その諺の意味を調べて、「抜き足差し足忍び足」は「抜き足差し足」と「抜き足」と「差し足」と「忍び足」と同じ意味だと見つけました。だから、先生に違いについて聞きました。とても面白い会話でした。

Hallo! Ich habe lange keine Beiträge geschrieben, weil ich so beschäftigt gewesen war. Diese Woche habe ich einen Aufsatz für minen Bildwissenschaftskurs geschrieben. Ich musste über das Verhältnis zwischen Sehen und Macht schreiben, und ich habe über sowohl ein Van Gogh Gemälde als auch ein Foto von Kurt Cobain geschrieben. Ich musste auch einen Podcast für meinen Deutschekulturkurs machen. Ich habe entartete Kunst und Kandinsky diskutiert und ich fand es sehr interessant. Morgen muss ich mal wieder in die Universität gehen und hoffentlich werde ich meine Noten bekommen. Ich hoffe, dass ich es gut gemacht habe! Letztes Wochenende bin ich nach Glasgow mit dem Bus gefahren, um eine Band namens "Black Marble" zu sehen. Es was eine tolle Erfahrung, weil ihre Musik so gut klingt. Ich habe auch mit der Vorgruppe ein bisschen Deutsch gesprochen. Er heisst John Moods und kommt aus Berlin. Wir haben über Musik gesprochen und ich habe ihm erklärt, dass ich eine Band namens "Rudergerät" gegründet habe. Er hat über sein Album gesprochen, und ich wollte es kaufen, aber leider hatte ich kein Geld dabei. Ich konnte nicht mit meiner Karte bezahlen, aber zum Glück hat er mir eine Platte gegeben und hat mir gesagt, dass ich später mit PayPal bezahlen könnte. Ich fand das super und ich habe ihm den nächsten Tag bezahlt. Leider habe ich mir seine Platte noch nicht zugehört, weil ich einen neuen Kabel brauche, um meinen Plattenspieler zu nutzen. Ich freue mich aufs zuhören. Vor dreizehn Tagen habe ich mit dem Alkohol aufgehört, weil ich ein klareres Verstand brauche, um Deutsch effektiver zu lernen. Ich habe einen wundervollen Monat gehabt und ich wünsche dir einen schönen Tag.

Maintenant il observe un petit portail et se figure de le dessiner en ce moment; maintenant il jete un coup d'oeil à des arbres et tout de suite il se souviens de son enfance: quand il était insouciant, quand il avait sa place, quand les réflexions ne occupait pas la tête. Et violà la rue que l'a conduit à l'école pendant plusieurs années,; et voilà le parc qui l'a observé jouer avec ses amis: il n'a reussi pas à rester en contact avec eux, mais parfois les souvenirs suffisent, n'est-ce pas?
Alors, en espérant que vous avez compris plus ou moins la personne, c'est pas si difficile de comprendre que il lui semblait d'être rentré en clin d'oeil.

ハロウィン
今日は10月30日ですね。ハロウィンイベントです。
じゃ、今日はハロウィンのため、何を準備しましたか。私は毎年ハロウィンが気にしません。それで、今日はいつものようです。朝から晩まで忙しくて、来週試験のため、一所懸命復習してきます。緊張してとても疲れています。
午後、しばらく本屋に行きました。一人で行くのが寂しいです。そのとき、誰か一緒に行ってほしいです。いくら欲しくても、誰もいないかもしれません。私はまだそれに慣れてきます。成長した人の世界は本当に寂しいですよ。何も一人でしなければなりません。気分が悪くなることがあると、誰かにそばにいて、肩に寄りかかって、おしゃべりしたいです。
明日は10月31日ですね。10月の最後の日です。忙しことが消えません。11月、これから、テストがだんだん多くなります。もっと努力勉強しなければなりません。諦めなさえあれば、よく終えることができます。

Ich liebe Musiksinstrumente
Heute habe ich das Solo der Harfe gehört. Die Stimme der Harfe läutet wie in meinem Herzen.
Es erinnert mir an meiner Deutschlehrerin. Ein Raum mit einem Klavier legte an unserem Kursraum. Nach dem Kurs spielte meine Deutschlehrerin das Klavier und wir daran saßen und hörte. Das ist mein erste Mal, im Nahbereich zu hören. Die Stimme war attraktiv und verblüffend. Ich kann nichts sagen. Danach fing ich an, dieses Instrument zu mögen.
Langsam kam ich in Kontakt mit Geige, Cello und Saxophon, die mir jeweils ein einzelnes Gefühl geben. Gleichzeitig begann ich auch chinesische Instrumente wie Erhu, Pipa und Guzheng zu schätzen.
Ich freue mich sehr darauf, zu einem Konzert zu gehen. Ich war dort, um den Schock zu spüren, den sie mir brachten. Ich möchte in der Freizeit ein Instrument lernen.

30 octobre 2022 - prend conscience quand on mange
Pendant cette semaine-ci, je mangeais beaucoup de bons repas avec mes amies. Lundi, c’était un restaurant mexicain et Starbucks. Mercredi, c’était un repas simple mais avec un dessert japonais, plein de sucre. Jeudi, c’était un mocha glacé, des frites et du pain perdu avec glace. Vendredi, c’était le porc avec de curry japonais. J’aime bien tout cela mais c’est tout simplement que je les prends sans cesse durant une semaine et donc mon ventre me proteste.Tout ce que je veux manger ce weekend, c’est de salad, c’est-à-dire de plat plus légère. J’essaye aussi de mâcher plus longtemps pour que le salive puisse mieux mélanger les nourritures et les mieux digérer. J’arrête aussi de regarder YouTube quand je mange pour mieux goûter les plats parce que si je regarde d’autre chose en même temps, je ne peux pas concentrer sur le goût.

La natation
Je suis passé par une piscine plus tôt et je me suis dit que la natation me manque vraiment. J’habite dans un archipel qui est entouré de l’eau, donc on pourrait penser que je nage très souvent. Mais c’est loin de la réalité. Enfaite, il y a plusieurs de mois depuis la dernière fois que j’ai nagé. J’espère que quelquefois bientôt, je pourrai nager.

En el lugar donde vivo ahora, una de las costumbres a las que me ha costado adaptarme es colgar la ropa a secar en un tendedero. En la cultura de que provengo, por lo general la población cuenta con una secadora en casa para agilizar la tarea de hacer colada. Allí, su uso prevalece tanto que incluso las instalaciones de las lavanderías ubicadas en la ciudad disponen de grandes máquinas para secar la ropa. Durante unas cuantas veces se ha estropeado mi equipo en casa y me ha tocado acudir a una de éstas. En tales ocasiones, he podido aprovechar la gran capacidad de sus secadoras de tamaño industrial para terminar de secar la ropa en tan solo una o dos rondas. Aquí, sin embargo, debe de haber más conciencia sobre el gasto de energía dado que ninguna de las casas que he visitado han tenido una secadora instalada. Bueno, en general no debería criticar porque la gente aquí está haciendo más para conservar y proteger el medio ambiente que la de mi propio hogar. Tampoco es terrible el esfuerzo adicional. Sí que es un poco engorroso a veces. Además, el otro inconveniente que voy a mencionar es que la eficacia de colgar la ropa para secarla al aire libre también depende de la estación del año. Durante los meses más fríos es casi imposible lavar y volver la ropa a condiciones para ponerse en un solo día. Mörkläggande gardiner
När min familj flyttade från en lägenhet till ett hus, så upptäckte vi hur många lampor och gardiner huset kräver. Det gick bra med lamporna tack vare några besök på loppis och några kvällar med webbsökandet.
Dock svårare var det med gardinerna. Vissa fönster var bara för breda, jag kunde hitta ingenting. De var också på södersida och det gjorde bokstavligt talat ont i ögonen att sitta vid köksbordet under soliga dagar. Att få tag i mörkläggande breda långa gardiner blev min största önskan.
Då tänkte jag, varför inte göra dem själv? Jag har ju en symaskin, och en gardin är typ enklaste som man kan sy. Hur svårt kan det vara? Köp lite tyg, mät noggrant, vips, gardiner.
Så blev det inte. Det fanns bara en butik på nätet som sålde tillräckligt brett tyg med mörkläggningsegenskaper. Tyget var tjockt och väldigt svårt att hantera. Nya verktyg och kunskaper krävdes. Gardinöljetter som kläms på tyget stannade inte på plats eftersom tyget var för tjockt, för kraftigt, för tungt.
Resultatet blev inte så snyggt och det kom inte snabbt. Men det funkar. Jag har lärt mig rätt mycket om min symaskin och har fått en ny respekt för "enkla" projekt som gardiner.
