El fin de semana
¡No he escrito por unas pocos semanas, pero estoy tratando de ser mejor! Tuve mi examen final para la clase de ciencias del cerebro el viernes pasado. Fue muy difícil y tomó 3 horas para completar. Espero que fuera el examen más difícil del semestre. Desde entonces me he estado relajando.

The Problems of a Smoker
As adults, we used to think that we're wise and experienced, and that nothing in the world could surprise us anymore. By achieving career goals and accomplishing difficult tasks, we falsely assume that we're fully prepared for any obstacles coming our way. However, no matter how confident we feel about ourselves, sometimes it turns out that we’re not that skilled at dealing with simple blocks.
Let’s take me as an example. While I enjoy thinking that I’m in full control of my actions, it’s not really true. I may believe that my willpower is enough to nail anything, whether it's taking yoga classes or stopping smoking. However, my stamina is less strong than I’d like to think.
Speaking of smoking, you should see my hopeless efforts to get rid of this harmful habit. Regardless of my righteous intentions, I successfully find justifications for another roll time after time. When it comes to finding reasons to inhale a cig one more time, I come up with brilliant ideas. Sometimes I tell myself that I’m too tired and can let myself a little indulgence, at other times I simply give up. There are moments when I tell myself that life is already hard enough, so it’s not worth it to consider stopping smoking.
The important thing here is that I love the ritual of smoking, and that is what makes it so difficult to stop. The very thought of this little treat alone prompts me towards buying a new pack of cigarettes. Which means it’s becoming more and more difficult to break this vicious cycle. Once I come up with a reason, it gets easier to think of another reason another time. There are many ways to deceive ourselves while still believing in our innocence, I can tell you. By how quickly my mood becoming worse, you can guess how long I haven’t been smoking. Which means staying far away from me and not asking questions is your smart decision at this time. But after I give up one more time and smoke a cig..Boom, I’m again a normal, friendly person.
The friends with whom I talked about smoking were divided into two groups: those who feel guilty about smoking and those who don’t. Although I try to listen more to those who regret smoking, when I’m out of cigarettes, I predictably run to second ones. One question that concerns me the most — what is worse, smoke and regret about it, suffering from the quilt, or enjoying smoking in a full way and forget about regrets? Neither of these options is the best, of course, since I would prefer not to smoke at all, but it is what it is.
One friend giving me another cigarette told me “I don’t care about smoking because life is unpredictable. There’s much more chances I’ll be killed by a truck than die from cigs.” It sounds not so optimistic, but at least he doesn’t feel guilty about smoking, like me. While rolling a joint, he often considers different arguments in favor of smoking or non-smoking. It may sound strange, but in his opinion, the biggest disadvantage of non-smoking is not bad teeth or even cancer, but boredom. “There you are sitting at your desk and it’s time to take a break. You stand up, and.. What will you do? Oh well, you’ll make a coffee.”
Sometimes I think his favourite activity is smoking. I mean, I have trouble understanding how you can justify your decision to smoke, but he does it time after time. He spends a lot of time on his balcony, puffing smoke and lecturing his guests about the benefits of that habit. You may not believe me, but they often leave the balcony looking happier than when they came in. Looking at him, I really don’t know what’s what anymore. Never had worries about the real, long-term consequences of smoking crossed his mind. Not only doesn't he worry about smoking, but he also enjoys it. While I’m wondering how to defeat my habit and coming up with all kinds of excuses, he simply doesn’t care about that. Really, why do I create all these justifications? Maybe I luck not energy or willpower to stop smoking, but simply courage to smoke without guilt? In that respect, my friend seems much happier than me.

Technology
At first glance, everything that comes with technology is positive. But, all that glitters is not gold because excessive dependence (or dependency?) on technological advances could be harmful. There is a fine line between convenience and laziness.
What's more, the use of some technologies are reducing our capabilities. For instance, nowadays many people are unable to get by in an unknown city without using a GPS.
As far as I am concerned the main invention in the last years was the Internet.
One reason for thinking this is it changed the way we buy all kind of things.
Another reason is it gives us access to a massive information of any type.
Last but not least, the Internet is the biggest advance in the human history in relation with communication between people.
To sum up, most technological advances are great, but we have to set the limit to not overuse them and create a wrong dependency.

Rache-Lieder
Im Radio laufen gerade zwei Lieder, die man als Rache-Lieder bezeichnen könnte. Das erste ist ein Lied von Shakira, das zweite von Miley Cyrus.
Ich weiß nicht, ob es ein Zufall ist, dass beide Lieder zu diesem Zeitpunkt veröffentlicht wurden: liegt es am Einfluss der Sterne?
Das Lied von Shakira gefällt mir überhaupt nicht, es ist sehr direkt, nennt beides Piqué und seine neue Freundin und lässt nichts für die Fantasie. Ich wurde sagen, es ist sogar beleidigend, weil sie mit der anderer sich vergleicht. Ausserdem, Shakira hat zwei kleine Kinder und ich bin der Meinung, dass sie aus Respekt vor ihren Kindern dieses Lied nicht veröffentlichen sollten, schliesslich wird ihr Ex-Partner immer der Vater ihrer Kinder sein.
Auf der anderen Seite gibt es den Song von Miley, das gefällt mir besser. Ich finde es eleganter, und da nicht so viele direkte Hinweise zeigt, kann sich jede Frau, die sich in einer ähnlichen Situation befinden hat, mit dem Lied sich identifizieren.
Ich denke, dass Shakiras Lied in ein paar Monaten unbemerkt bleiben wird und wir alle vergessen werden. Miley Cyrus Lied hingegen könnte immer als ein sehr gutes Lied über Liebeskummer in die Erinnerung bleiben.

Meinen neuen Chef
Ich habe seit November einen neuen Chef, er ist etwas älter als ich und von Geburt an reich. Als er ins Büro kam, dachten und erwarteten wir, dass er anders sein würde als unsere früheren Chefs, aber nein, Chefs wählen andere Chefs, die aus einer ähnlichen Familie kommen, eine ähnliche Ausbildung und eine ähnliche Karriere haben. Er ist also eine Fotokopie aller anderen Chefs in unserem Unternehmen. Er besuchte als Kind ein Internat und absolvierte seine Berufsausbildung zwischen London und Amerika. Er trägt massgeschneiderte Schuhe und Anzüge und benutzt zu viel Haargel. Hat auch eine meteoritische Karriere in der Bank gemacht. Im Gegenteil, ich wechselte von einer Abteilung der Bank zur anderen, auf der Suche nach einer Stelle, der nicht so langweilig ist. Ich glaube, ich habe kein Chef-stoff: Ich stamme nicht aus einer reichen Familie, ich habe nicht in Amerika studiert, ich kann mir keine massgeschneiderten Kleider leisten, ergo, ich werde nie ein Chef in der Bank werden, noch will ich einer sein.

Field of Study by Gender in Australia in 1995
The bar chart presents information about the proportion of different genders who enrolled in eight subjects in Australia in 1995.
Arts and humanities were the most attractive subject for female, at around 19% in 1995, compared with about 13% for male in the same subject. There was a big difference in health, chosen by 15% of men, which was over three times more than it was for women. A similar pattern illustrated in education, with 10% and approximately 6% for boys and girls, respectively. The gap between genders in business studies was the lowest.
Male showed more interest in the remaining four subjects. Engineering was by far the most favorite subject for male, in contrast to only 3% of female choosing it, which reached the biggest gap. 14% of men chose maths and sciences, around twice as high as the figure for women. Similarly, computing was also much more popular with boys than girls. Although the number of male was higher than female in accounting and economics, the disparity was small, only about 2%.
Overall, female were inclined to choose arts and humanities as their major while male were interested in engineering. The percentage of arts and humanities, health, education and business studies for boys was much higher than for girls. And the data for the remaining four subjects showed a different pattern.

Fa freddo a casa
A casa mia fa freddo in inverno. Si, c’è riscaldamento, ma lui non è tanto forte, quindi anche se lo accendo tutto il giorno al massimo, ancora non diventa caldo a casa. Purtroppo significa que ho un problema piccolo. Perché si accede il riscaldamento tutto il giorno, non sono sicuro se il boletto di riscaldamento è altissimo alle fine del mese. Mi sembra che perché il riscaldamento non è forte, probabilmente non usiamo molta energia per riscaldare la casa. Ma allo stesso tempo, è sempre acceso, così magari deviamo pagare molto per il riscaldamento, anche se la forza di lui non è alto. Vediamo che serà alla fine del mese.

Mi grupo de amigos
¿Alguna vez has tenido un amigo que no te gusta? Desde que empecé ir a la universidad, hay una chica en mi grupo que no la aguanto. No es una mala persona, pero su personalidad me molesta mucha. Nos no amigas íntimas por suerte, pero ella es en mi clase así tengo que la veo diariamente. En el principio, me siguió mucho lo que me hizo muy incómodo jajaja. Ahora, no hablamos mucho pero no quiero la veo más.

Many People are Moving From Rural Areas to Big Cities.
Many people living in the countryside want to migrate to urban areas, especially in today’s competitive world. They think big cities can provide more benefits for them. From my perspective, however, although there are some advantages, this trend indeed brings some adverse effects.
As for the reason of this trend, on the one hand, big cities are able to provide colorful job opportunities for people with different backgrounds. People are easier to hunt for a suitable job and make a relatively ideal profit. Conversely, the kinds of jobs in rural areas are single, like farmers, and vendors. Most importantly, their income is much lower than working in big cities. On the other hand, city dwellers have more responsibilities to enjoy a sound social welfare program which is indispensable to bring convenient services to people. For example, metropolises usually have top-class teaching resources, including experienced and specialized teachers, colorful outdoor activities, excellent teaching environments and so on. If people have an accident and need first aid, they would obtain an all-round injury assessment and professional medical treatment. Apart from that, it is public facilities that help people get away from the hustle and bustle of daily work, which I think is the biggest benefit for having such places in big cities.
As I see it, there is no dying that people moving to megacities bring fresh blood to the urban labor market. They have the ability to contribute to the development of cities through their hard work, which has a positive effect on boosting economic growth. Conversely, with rural people leaving their hometowns, the rural-urban income disparity will be much wider rather than lower. Young people who are talented, energic, and created will flock to cities in search of educational and employment opportunities, leaving rural area’s local economy gradually becoming sluggish. As time goes by, it is more difficult for rural areas to break the cycle of poverty. For example, if the majority of labors are leaving their home and migrating to cities, there is no one left to farm at home, leading to no crops to supply for cities in the long run, which will be a thorny problem to be solved.
In conclusion, more and more people going to cities to search for better living conditions or job opportunities is more likely to be an irreversible trend, which has some benefits for people while bring more drawbacks for the whole society or individuals.

Divagaciones 13
Empezaron a murmullar antes de acercarse a mí, y creo que intentaban hechizarme o algo así, pero no quería nada que ver con eso, así que me largué enseguida.
Vamos a echar un vistazo a los hechos que sabemos hasta ahora, ¿vale? Porque nada en concreto nos muestra que ha pasado algo fuera de lo común.
Era un frío que calaba hasta los huesos, y al principio yo había planeado estar afuera durante mucho más tiempo, pero no lo podía aguantar.
Por favor avísame cuando sepas si crees que vas a poder enviar las partes de repuesto en esta semana.

Il mio venerdì
Finalmente è quasi fine settimana! Sono già stanca morta ma felice perché domani ho il tempo libero.
Purtroppo devo abituarmi a svegliare presto: i turni iniziano dalle 8 a febbraio e i miei fine settimana sono il venerdì e il sabato. Va ancora bene così. Preferisco lavorare di mattina che lavorare di sera oppure di notte.
Sogno di andare in pensione ma ci sono molti anni fino a posso farlo. È terribile essere adulto a volte, è stancante ma speranzoso.
Da domani inizio a leggere di più in italiano. Posso sfogliare un album foto in cui si parla dei gatti.
Sono appena tornata da fuori, ho fatto una passeggiata come al solito e adesso mi preparo a cucinare un po'. Di domenica facciamo un menu per tutta la settimana, pensiamo di che possiamo mangiare, quindi è più facile quando già sappiamo che abbiamo da mangiare. La spesa è fatta, devo solo preparare i pasti.
A volte ho bisogno di fare una pausa, è difficile sia lavorare, sia studiare. Vorrei avere più ore in un giorno, forse le userei per dormire di più haha.
Non vedo l'ora dell'estate, spero di avere un livello migliore in italiano.

Este Es Mi Problema
Estoy muy duro conmigo misma.
Creo que tengo que estar o yo no mejorará. Y si no puedo mejorar, ¿cuál es el punto? Pero porque estoy así, me siento avergonzada y humillante muy fácilmente. Y lo estoy bien cometiendo errores porque me ayudará a realizar lo que necesito arreglar.
Pero a veces, necesito a alguien decirme que todo estará bien. No soy la única persona que comete errores.
Y necesito parar pensando que las personas piensan: “Vaya, mira a esto. Ella ni idea lo que está haciendo. Que idiota.”
Espero que el más comparto, pararé siendo asustada y avergonzada con mis errores.

Es ist allgemein bekannt dass ein Freund zu haben ist sehr wichtig in irgenjemands' leben. Ein Freundschaft bedeutet viel Spaß zusammen, hilfe und mitarbeit. Zusammen, wir konnen alles tun.
Ich denke, dass die kräftigste Freundschaften enstehen in die Kindheit. Warum? Jemand unfamilliar für den ersten mal zu ansprehen ist immer ein Risiko. Eine Schule wo die Kinder tageslang zusammen arbeiten schafft eine familliare Umgebung, in dem sie sich sicher fuhlen. Dann konnen die Kinder die Risiko mit jemand zu sprehen eingehen ohne sich schlecht zu fühlen. Dadurch kann eine Freundschaft sich einfacher entwickeln als in einem unfamiliären Umfeld.
Wir alle haben Freunden; aber nicht alle haben so viele, wie die andere. Einige Eigenschaften machen einen Person bei die Anderen mehr beliebt und so kriegt er mehr Freunden. Also welche Eigenschaften sind sie? Wann ich ein Kind war, ziehte ich mit Kinder, die die anderen helften, Freunden zu sein vor. Nettness war nicht die einige eigenschaft, die ich an anderen mögte; dass mein Freund desselbe Hobbys wie ich hatte war auch für mich wichtig. Aber ich weiß, dass nicht alle Kinder ziehen desselbe Eigenschaften vor. Die World Vision Kinderstudie hat diese Frage bei Deutsche Kinder untesucht und seine Ergebnisse in form einer Grafik gezeigt.
Ich finde überraschend, dass laut der Grafik die Kinder mögen Leute, die lusting sind oder die viel lachen, aber nicht den Kindern, die ein Klassenclown spielen. Meiner meinung nach, ein Klassenclown zu sein heißt die anderen immer lächeln lassen, und für das muss der Klassenclown sicherlich selbst sehr lustig sein. Aber ich denke, dass es kann für einen Freund von den Klassenclown unangenehm sein, immer in die Schatten zu stehen wenn der Klassenclown ist der einzelne, wer die Bühnenlicht immer bekommt.
Besonders interessant finde ich, dass bei die Jungen sind Kinder, die Sportlich sind mehr beliebt als die, die gut in der Schule lernen, aber Madchen ziehen fleißende Kinder vor.
Kinder, die teure clamotten tragen, sind nicht besonders beliebt (30%) und konnen mit zeit Außenseiter bekommen.
Zusammengefasst, Menschen ziehen eineige Eigenschaften vor und so machen einen entscheidung mit wem sie Freunden sein wollen.

我把手表弄丢了
我叫高新。今天在学校我很忙，因为我下午有很重要的考试。
因此，我上午很粗心，弄丢了我刚买的手表。
上午十点，体育课前，我把手表放在体育包里。体育课后，上午十一点，我带体育包去更衣室换衣服。
我以为手表还在包里。但是当我打开包时，我发现手表不在包里。
当时，我非常着急，因为我的手表很贵，对我很有意义。我怕有人偷了手表，还怕我再也找不回来手表。
我到处找手表，但是所有的地方我都找不到。
李全，我最好的朋友，发现我的心情不好。

I think my weakness is easy to be nervous and not confident
I think my weakness is easy to be nervous and not confident enough, especially when I face a lot of people. But since I become a teacher, this problem has been greatly improved. I like confident people and I wish to be a strong and confident person one day. Recently, I often do some positive self suggestion, which I think is very useful. I will try my best to improve myself and work harder to overcome my weakness.

I think I am an honest ,diligent ,persevering person. I will not give up easily once I have a target. During the preparation for postgraduate examination, I always got up at 6:30 o’clock and study for an average of ten hours a day. 4. El viaje en chine
Es el año nouvel chinois y por eso, mi famila y yo regresamos a la ciudad en la que mi madre y padre crecieron y que mis abuelos viven. Pasó tambien mon infancia aquí. Es Fujian, una provincia a cerca del mar. Me gusta mucha de ver mis abuelos pero no me gusta las calles y los inodores públicos aquí porque en comparación con Hong Kong, esos son más sucios. Además, como es una ciudad menos desarrollada, la red de transporte no es buena, debe tenir un carro privé para salir en la ciudad. Pero, a propósito, la red de tren nacionale es más desarrollada y puede salir a otro lugar chinois rápido. Sin embrago, cuando hay mucha gente que viaje en mismo tiempo, es una pesadilla. La gente del barrio habla muy fuerte. Bueno, eso no es única al gente chinois. Estoy muy triste que la gente pierde muchos des buenas maneras antiguas y actos de cortesía. Por ejemplo, la gente se competen para salir de tren o de bus el primero.
Bueno, la gente de mi barrio no se comporta muy bien que ellos, entonces debo les aceptar. La suerte es que eso viaje se dura sólo una semana. Además, mis primos son muy diverdidos y jugar con ellos fue entretenido.
Eso viaje no es tan divertido que eso de japon de la última vez, pero es muy bueno de ver mis abuelos que no les ví hace tres años.

Day 23: Urbanism
The speech, that the urban planning graduates gave yesterday, opened my mind to a new world.
The urbanist can design the distribution of the buildings and how to make easier the transportation for people by designing better pavements, roundabouts, cycle paths and roads. This career unlike architecture is focused on designing better cities. For example, if the goverment want to build a new city, urbanist would design the metro lines to connect the keypoints of the city and find the better distribution to make faster, easier and safer the transportation of the future citizens, the same is true for the roads and pavements. Architects would design the buildings to make them more recistents to earthquakes, make them more aesthetic and space-optimised as well. I wanted to study architecture because I want to design a better and ecological cities to reduce the pollution on the street and give more space to nature. But now I have big doubts which are: Should I keep my decision to study architecture? Or should I change to Urbanism?
Something that I like of architecture is that you need to use your creativity to design better buildings, like in any other art. But in Urbanism is more technical and less creative.
I'm going to think very well these two options.
Changing the subject, I'm going to try to find a new language partner, wish me luck!

Un régime sans lactose
Ma mère se plaignait toujours d’avoir mal au ventre et des selles fréquentes. Le médecin a diagnostiqué un syndrome du colon irritable. Il lui a prescrit certains médicaments et a demandé de suivre un régime sans lactose. Cela n’avait pas plu à ma mère puisque elle adore le yaourt, le lait, le fromage et la glace. En bref, elle devrait éviter tous les produits à base de lait y compris des gâteaux et des desserts.
Je me suis renseignée et il existe un tas de produits sans lactose comme le lait, le yaourt et même la glace. Ma mère était très contente parce qu’elle n’aurait pas besoin de changer sa régime beaucoup. Néanmoins, elle devrait changer certaines de ses habitudes alimentaires. Par exemple, maintenant elle ne mange que des gâteaux et des biscuits à la base de l’huile ou de margarine, sans beurre. Tous ses amis connaissent qu’elle suit une régime sans lactose et ils sont très sympas et prennent soin de préparer des plats sans lactose.
Le week-end prochain, ma mère va dîner chez-moi et en ce moment, je cherche une recette pour un dessert sans lactose. C’est la saison de mangue et je sais que ma mère les adore. J’ai très envie de faire un dessert avec de la mangue, mais sans lactose. Après avoir parcouru de nombreuses recettes, enfin j’ai trouvé l’une qui sera parfaite. C’est pour une panne cotta à la mangue : c’est un dessert italien très populaire. À mon avis, il sera parfait pour une chaude journée d’été.
