Ma soovisin Stockholmi vanalinnas olev soomlases kirikus soome keelt harjutada. Kirikus töötaval mehel on halba suhtumist. See on põhjus, miks tahan õppida eesti keelt soome keelt asemel.

There is a superstition in Mumbai of India that honking makes the red light of the traffic signal change to the green light fast. Drivers have to wait 90 seconds for the green. There is a second clock by the signal and the time shows in countdown style like 89, 88, 87 towards 0. The drivers can see how many seconds they will wait, yet they start to honk all at once when the singnal turns red.
The police attached a noise level meter under the second clock to improve this large noise. While the clock was showing the time in countdown, when the noise level reached 85 decibel, the time went back to 90 seconds as the initial value. And the countdown started again. Many drivers got angry and the police officers were doing a high five with each other.
It was so hilarious that I thought it was a comedy. But I figured out that it had been difficult to improve it so far as to do such a thing. I thought the police came up with a good idea.

I don’t want to do anything.
I want nothing.
I just want to become like sand and want to be blown away by the wind to disappear from this world.
Have you ever thought this way?
I have.
These thoughts had controlled my mind for over half a year.
Thanks to my supportive family, I’m getting through it.
Today, I went shopping with my mother to get some stuffs that I’d wanted, and I noticed that I was getting back myself.
Now I tend to be happy so easily because of my hard experience.
Delicious food, cute animals on TV, sunny days, funny story with my son.
These small things are so bright and lovely to me.
Still there are not good days in our lives, but I’ll keep on noticing good sides. :)

Writing is a daily struggle. I never know what to jot down, especially when it comes to IELTS or some formal stuff. For this reason, I try to read absolutely anything that I'll probably write an entry about. I've never passed the IELTS exam. Nonetheless, I'd like to pass it. Well, I downloaded one app about IELTS, then wrote my first essay. As a result, it turned out dreadful and weird, even though it's just an introduction and half of the first paragraph. Additionally, I mixed up informal and formal styles together. The topic was about crime if you're interested. I suppose I'll find out loads of useful tips to try and get a high score on the exam or at least a score that is enough to pass. In spite of an hour of writing the essay and racking my brain, I didn't lose the motivation to keep on improving. Still, I sometimes procrastinate due to a lack of ideas on how to answer the IELTS essay question.

I have heard many times this song on the radio before.
So I have tried to translate.
You gave me butterflies in my stomach when I saw you first time
I longed for the adult wistful love when I was 21 years old
I felt that my makeup don't good on me because I was overdoing
The beginning of love
I can't help it because I like you a lot
give me a big hug
Sometimes, I would say selfish
Because I want to you hold hands all the time.
I love to burst into laughter
He always strong but I feel so happy when you sleep in my arms
I need you
I feel like that makes us stronger when protect something
The beginning of love
I can't help it because I like you a lot
But my heart aches a bit
The time that can't meet is the magic of bringing nice love
My heart is always looking for you
I can't help it because I like you a lot
I've never felt like this before
I want to still be by your side, please
Expressing my honest feelings is hard

It has been long time to browse LangCorrect and write. There was a lot of differences since the last time I had looked up. But, there was no new Turkish entries. If I tell the truth, It is kind of dissapointed. Also, I noticed the level of proficiency was added which I can't decide what is my proficiency level.
Summarising the view of proficiency where I ground, A2 seems like "I am learning the English from years, I want to be better", B1 seems "maybe, but still a lot of things off.", B2 seems like a "I wish, but don't be ridiculous. "
I had been at Greece with my sister and my friends around 5 days for vacation, it was good but reminded me why I love to travel by myself. The conversation part was mostly up to me and my sister and that was hard. I had been thinking all the day like that, how should address things, is it accurate? Some of the people we had encountered spoke so fast and I couldn't catch. Sometimes, I don't I understand what they meant.
I mean, there is a lot of way I need to go.

I used to be a voracious reader. Sometimes I finished a book in one day. I aspired to become a well-rounded person that can hold a conversation on a wide variety of topics ranging from the theory of evolution to baseball offensive strategy. I thought the more I read the faster I would get there. But to my great disappointment, reality, once again, proved to be different from my naive expectations. I forgot most of what I read in a few weeks’ time and what I was left with was only superficial knowledge, just enough to create an illusion of competence. An illusion that didn’t hold up to scrutiny. Every time I tried explaining my newly acquired ideas to others, I failed miserably. I couldn’t find the right words or piece them together in a coherent way and usually after struggling for a few minutes I would give up and change a subject.
And truth be told, for a long time it didn’t bother me that much. Well, at least not enough to make me look for solutions. Most of the stuff I was trying to learn about was not something that would drastically change my life for better or would help me improve my career perspectives. But since I started learning foreign languages I have been on the hunt for the most effective studying methods. I’m yet to discover them (spoiler, they don’t exist) but at least I got an understanding of how I could get more out of reading.
Now I’ll briefly talk about a few learning techniques that I use. If you’re interested in learning more about them, there is tons of information on the Internet. Most likely though, you’ve already come across them a dozen of times.
1. Mnemonics
Something, e.g. an image or a word, that helps to recall information when you need it.
You can use them only to get information quickly to your short-term memory; in order to commit it to your long-term memory you still need to implement one of the techniques described below.
2. Recall.
After you’ve finished, for example, a chapter of a book, put it aside and try to recall as much of what you’ve just read as you can.
3. Spaced repetition.
Review information at gradually increasing intervals.
3. The Feynman technique.
Take something you want to understand and write down an explanation of it as if you were teaching someone else. If you get stuck – get back to the source material. You have to repeat the circle until you no longer need to use the source material to write an explanation.
