My Trip to Italy and My Missing Toy!

Writing Challenge: Day 16
Friday, April 16th, 2021

I have two brothers and two sisters. When my parents used to travel, they used to choose one of us to take with them, and leave the rest at home. Once I was the chosen one and I got myself a trip to Italy : )

I felt lucky and it was my first time in a hotel room by myself. It was winter and weather was cold and snowy. All my photos with my father show us under a huge umbrella and a snowfall :D
I remember an incident where I thought a man was giving away chewing gums to everyone, so I took one and thanked him. When he started following me, I remember I ran towards my parents and that man started yelling and moving his hand angrly. Apparently he was selling the chewing gum and unknowingly I stole one :D
Luckily he left us alone when my father gave him money and apologised for what I did.
It's tough to be a six years old in a foreign country ;) hehe

I bought a leather bag from Rome that I still use sometimes as a wallet. It's extremely beautiful. My parents bought me a toy, a stuffed sheep that I used to love so much. One day I lost it and I think what happened was that we had some visitors at home and one of their boys took it home with him.
Whenever I see a stuffed animal that looks like my old stuffed sheep, I just feel like buying it!

Un hobby que j’aime et que je déteste

Aujourd’hui je parlerai du hobby que j’aime et que je déteste - courir. J’ai commencé à courir quand j’avais seize ans, parce que j’avais besoin de m’entraîner pour une course caritative et depuis je n’ai pas arrêté de courir. C’est l’un des moyens les plus faciles rester en forme mentalement et physiquement. Je juste mets mes baskets et sors. J’ai vécu beaucoup de villes dans le monde et quand j’arrive dans une nouvelle ville l’un des choses premiers je fais est que je trouve une route approprié pour courir, qui m’aide à me sentir chez moi. Depuis le début la pandémie, courir m’a vraiment aidé à rester sain d’esprit. En ce moment je utilise une application appelée Nike Running Club qui laisse l’utilisateur recharger des ‘guided runs’, ça veut dire qu’une entraîneur donne conseils de coaching audio quand vous courez. Il y a beaucoup de contenu qui est complètement gratuit.

Jedes Mal wenn ich jogge, höre ich den "Easy German" Podcast. Die Stimmen von Cari und Manu, die Moderatoren des Podcasts, sind mir jetzt so familiär, dass ich sie sehr verstehen kann. Es hilft mir auch sehr, dass sie sehr klar und deutlich sprechen. Das hilft allen Deutschlernern dabei, den Podcast besser zu verstehen.

30 Day Language Challenge - Día Diaciséis

Disfruto escuchar a los podcasts, especialmente cuando trabajo o limpio mi casa. Me gustan los podcasts sobre historia, polítcia, leyendas, y buenas cuentas generales. No me gustan los podcasts donde algunas personas hablan sobre nada. Mis podcasts favoritas son "Last Podcast on the Left" "Revolutions" "You Must Remember This" "You're Wrong About" "Flash Forward" y "The Dollop." También, escucho a podcasts en español cada día, pero esos podcasts son para estudiantes. La primera vez que empecé a aprender español, escuché a el podcast de Duolingo, porque mitad de cada episodio fue en inglés. Acabo de terminar toda la acumulación de episodios de "No Hay Tos" y "Deliberate Spanish" y supongo que tengo que empezar escuchar los podcasts regulares. Puedo entender mucho de "El Washington Post" pero los podcasts como "Radio Ambulante" o "El Dollop ("The Dollop" en español) son un poco difícil para mi. ¡Espero que mi entendimiento crece porque siempre necessito los podcasts nuevos!

Födelsedag

Idag hade vi en liten fest för min pojkväns födelsedag hos sin mormor. Vi gjorde tacos med Annama veganskt kött. Jag bakade en kokosnöt tårta som vanligt. Nu är vi fortfarande hos hans mormor. Vi vilar på soffan. Han läser saker på Reddit och jag sitter i hans arm.

A me piacciono tanto i podcast. Non ho abbastanza tempo per ascoltare tutti i podcast che voglio ascoltare, però i miei preferiti sono questi 3:

1 No Dumb Questions: È un podcast in cui un prete specialista in storia umana e un ingegnere parlano su temi diversi come: "quando è la tecnologia antica migliore", "chi era Amelia Earhart?" e "come gli umani hanno trovato hawai". Questo podcast è specialmente interessante per me perché Matt (il prete) è una persona molto razionale e con una grande intelligenza emozionale, e invece Destin è una persona più "matematica", insomma, un ingegnere che ha lavorato per l'esercito dell'aria degli Stati Uniti. Ed è molto interessante sentire il punto di vista diverso di ognuno

2 Just Between Us: Due ragazze giovane parlano su feminismo, la communità LGBT e la salute mentale. Quello che mi piace di questo podcast e che Allison e Gabby sono molto sincere. Loro leggono un e-mail che chiamano "la domanda internazionale" (anche se non è proprio internazionale) e poi parlano su quello che dice l'e-mail. A volte Allison propone una situazione ipotetica in cui non c'è mai una soluzione giusta. Mi fanno ridere tantissimo

3 Criminalmente: In questo podcast, Paz Velasco De La Fuente parla su criminali e quello che hanno fatto, perché l'hanno fatto e perché sono così. È molto interessante come entra nella loro mente e spiega tutto con chiarezza. A volte è duro sentire quelle terribili storie.

Lo que voy a decir tal vez sonará un poco extraño en nuestro mundo globalizado en lo cual la mobilidad se ha hecho una parte esencial de la vida moderna, pero aunque yo podría vivir algunos mesos, a lo mejor algunos años en un país extranjero (ya lo he hecho), no podría vivir permanentemente en una otra región que mi región natal, porque aquí tengo la gente que quiero, mis recuerdos, mi cultura, mi niñez, en otras palabras: mi vida. Es aquí que me siente "en casa". Es un sentimiento dificíl explicar. Si viviese en un lugar extraño, me sentiría desarralgado, tendría aquel sentimiento de "no estar en mi lugar", en el sentido proprio como metafórico. Seguro, es probable que muchas cosas me gustarán en mi nuevo país, pero a pesar de eso, sería solo mi propia sombra.

En cambio, hay lugares donde me sentí casí como en casa, especialmente en Italia y Austria, dos paises mágicos, con numerosas bellezas naturales, una cultura muy interesante y un arte de vivir que me gusta muchísimo. Ahí la gente es también muy simpática, de manera general. Pues, si estuviese obligado (de ?) vivir en un otro país, ¡pienso que me encantaría ver de nuevo las montañas de Austria o los lagos italianos!

Язык, который я никогда не бы изучил

Говорят, что нельзя сказать "никогда", но я думаю, что я никогда не изучу японский язык. Недавно, я прочитал несколькие статьи о японской грамматике, и эта грамматика мне полностью чужая. Мне нужно бы изучать, читать и слушать японский 10 часов в день или жить в Японии, чтобы понимать разные вопросы японской грамматики (даже самые простые вопросы!), и вероятно, мне нужно бы неконечное время, чтобы использовать их естественно. Так как я ненавижу учить и повторить фразы, которые я не понимаю, по этому я думаю, что никогда не изучу японский язык.

Slow German & Auf Deutsch gesagt

Ich habe bis heute nicht viele Podcast gehört. Ich kenne aber zwei gute Podcasts für Deutschlerner: Slow German und Auf Deutsch Gesagt. Ich höre sie aber nicht bei einer Plattform für Podcasts. Slow German höre ich an der offiziellen Website, weil es dort die ganzen Text stehen. Auf Deutsch gesagt höre ich auf YouTube, weil es einfacher ist, die zusätzliche Datei zu öffnen. Es gibt zusätzliche Materialen in Word mit einigen Wörtern und Ausdrücken, die in den Folgen benutzt worden sind. Podcasts sind zwar interessant, aber ich schaue mir lieber Videos an. Ich mag es, Menschen anzusehen. Mir gefällt die Gesichtsausdrücke zu sehen.

Nie lubię podcastów. Poznałem ludzie, którzy bardzo często słuchają podcastów na różne tematy, a ja nie rozumiem dlaczego są tak popularne. To nie znaczy, że nigdy nie posłuchałem żadnego podcastu, ale osobiście mi jest trudno utrzymywać koncentrację. Wolę o wiele oglądać jakieś wideo, bo muszę wracać uwagę i na tym, co mówią, i na tym, co pokazują. W takim sposobie czuję się wyizolowany i mi jest łatwiej utrzymywać koncentrację. W przeciwieństwie gdy słucham podcastu, szybko tracę koncentracji, bo nie mam niczego konkretnego do zrobienia. Z tego powodu wiele ludzi słuchają podcastów, gdy zmywają naczynia, albo gdy prowadzą samochód, a to jest dla mnie po prostu niemożliwe, bo gdy zaczynam robić coś innego i jednocześnie słucham podcastu, automatycznie skupiam się na tym, co robię i nie słucham już podcastu.
Tylko nie rozumiem, jak inni ludzie potrafią słuchać podcastu aktywnie. Mimo tego podcasty są bardzo popularny, a więc prawdopodobnie to ja jestem dziwny.

我不喜歡聽播客的原因

有不少人很喜歡聽播客練習外語聽力，但我不是那些人中一個。我覺得聽播客沒有意思，也覺得播客不幫我學外語的更好。

其實，我聽播客的時候都覺得很無聊。即使播客的話題看起來很有意思，我一開始聽五分鐘以內就不能集中。我平時喜歡同時做些的東西。譬如說，我作生詞練習的時候也上YouTube看視訊。但是聽播客的時候我不可以那樣做。如果聽播客的時候100%不集中的話，我就錯過一部分，需要倒帶在一次聽。練習聽力的時候我比較喜歡看視訊。如果看視訊，有可以聽的，也有可以看的，所以我覺得不無聊，可以集中得好。

Ich höre hauptsächlich chinesische Podcasts. Ich höre auch einige englische Podcasts, wie z.B. The Documentary Podcast, Today,Explained, a16z Podcast. Ich höre sie normalerweise auf dem Weg zur Arbeit oder beim Essen in der Cafeteria. Seit ich den letzten chinesischen Podcast beendet habe, höre ich mir einen chinesischen Philosophiekurs über die Phänomenologie des Geistes an. Ich interessiere mich für Philosophie, was einer der Gründe ist, warum ich Deutsch lerne.

外国語の練習でポッドキャストを聞くことが嫌い理由

多い人は外国語を勉強するときポッドキャストを聞くことが好きですが、私はそんな人いません。パッドキャストはあまり面白くないと思います。そしてパッドキャストを聞く時集中はよくできません。私はマルチタスクをよくするほうですから。例えば、単語の復習をしながらユーチューブを見ます。でも、パッドキャストを聞きながらそうすることができません。１００％集中しないのなら大切な部分が聞けません。

私はパッドキャストを聞くことよりビデオを見るほうがいいです。面白いシーンを見ながら日本語を聞くことができますから！とっても面白くて集中がよくできます！

Ich höre eigentlich keine Podcasts. Manchmal höre ich JRE von Joe Rogan aber selten bis Ende. Im Brasilien gibt es auch viele berühmte Podcasts wie Nerdcast, Flow Podcast oder Braincast, die Leute mir einmal empfohlen hatten, aber ich habe im moment keine Zeite um sie zu hören. Ich glaube Podcasts sind eine gute Idee, aber sie sind ein bisschen zu lang für mich. Trotzdem, vielleicht in Zukunft schaue ich den Easy German Podcast, weil ich ihren Youtube-Kanal sehr mag.

When I Lost My Credit Card Abroad

This is a story when I went to a business trip to Warsaw in Poland three years ago.

When I got off work in a research center in Warsaw, I decided to visit the Chopin Museum.
This event was occurred after I bought Sandwiches at a convenience store near the museum.
I used my credit card to pay them and I put the card in my pocket.

After having the food, I went to the museum and tried to buy a ticket.
Right when seeking my card, I found out that it wasn't in my pocket or in my bag.
Much to my frustration, I couldn't find it finally.

Because the I should pay my hotel fee with the card, I was so nervous.
If I didn't pay my fee with the card, I wouldn't refund the spending from my company.
Fortunately, with the aid of my coworker in Warsaw, I could pay the fee.

After that, I always bring spear cards for avoiding this situation.

Podcast

I used to listen to an English podcast. However, It wasn't an effective way for me to learn English. If I could find good podcasts, I would keep listening. Instead of podcasts, my favorite methods is listening to TED talks or watching animes dubbed in English on Netflix. I'm obsessed with the anime Violet Evergarden which is in harmony with English voices rather than Japanese voices.

Time Differences

Today, one of my professors said he almost didn't sleep last night. He participated in an international conference on robotics, and it was held online because of COVID-19 this year. It's convenient to be able to join from Japan, but the conference was administered on American time, which is 16 hours behind Japan. Thus, He had to stay up all night.
I think professors are always busy. They are superhuman.
