An unforgettable evening
It was summertime and my friends and I decided to a sleepover with a friend because she was left alone at home. We were with her until about 10 pm and then we decided to go out and take a little walk around the village. There were plenty of kids our age out there hanging out in the park. We were with them until 11 pm and then went for a walk in the woods. There were 7 of us and some of us were a little scared, but we left anyway. We reached the entrance to the forest and it started to rain and it got really gloomy and we entered the forest under one of the cottages. We weren’t so scared because there was lighting at the cottage and we had lamps on our cell phones. We saw some car stop at the entrance to the forest and we got a little scared. We thought one of the siblings was kidding us, but we figured out it was some unknown man with a hood on his head. We quieted down, turned off the lights on our cell phones, and started running toward the other exit. The man was approaching the cottage and could hear us. As we drove away we turned on the lights on our cell phones and saw a bridge at the other exit. We went out to the bridge that led right to the cemetery. we headed to the cemetery because it’s the exit to the house. When we got to the cemetery we saw two people walking around the cemetery and they were even more scared. Luckily our house wasn’t that far away and we started running as fast as we could. There it began to thunder and light and when we turned we saw these two people from the cemetery running towards us. We entered a street through which we could get to the house faster. When we came to the yard through the garden, we locked all the gates and entered the house. We locked the door and lowered all the blinds. We were crying and scared. We never found out who it was ...

Meine Aufgaben für heute
Heute musste ich am Vormittag zum Zahnarzt gehen. Diese Aufgabe ist schon erledigt. Ich habe keine festen Aufgaben, das heißt, ich habe nichts, was ich unbedingt tun sollte. Ich habe einfach Sachen, die ich tun will, und zwar: Briefe auf der App Slowly zu antworten, Dokus auf Deutsch auf YouTube ansehen, die Fortsetzung einigen Geschichten hier auf LC zu schreiben und mir zwei oder drei Folgen von Skins (Staffel 3) anzuschauen. Ich arbeite gerade nicht und bleibe zu Hause den ganzen Tag jeden Tag. Manchmal wurde mir langweilig, aber ich weiß es zu schätzen, dass ich dieses großes Privileg habe. Ich glaube, dass eine sehr gute Idee ist, Liste über Aufgaben zu schreiben. Natürlich heißt das nicht automatisch, dass man alles Geschriebenes erledigen wird. Ich habe schon mehrmals die bittere Erfahrung gemacht, vergebens Listen zu schreiben. Am Ende des Tages habe ich nichts oder sehr weniges aus der Liste gemacht. Es ist aber eine Gewohnheit von mir, Listen zu machen. Es ist so, als ob ich die Hoffnung hatte, dass ich irgendwann alles machen werde. Deshalb schreibe ich an verschiedenen Tagen die gleichen Sachen. Lach mich nicht aus, bitte. lol

Korossol Into The Ring 21
I have so many things to do today! I'm very late for some, my week hasn't been easy. But I'm pretty sure I won't be able to complete my list. First, I have the flu. Nothing bad, but I had the headache from Hell for days. My eyes still burn and steadily staring at my screen certainly doesn't help. No, it's not Covid. Yes, I'm sure. But it's not pleasant and I'm getting tired of being sick. As would everyone .
As I am an independent worker, I work at home, which helps. As you probably guessed, I work mostly on my computer, which doesn't.
Today, I was supposed to write 1500 words on any of the three stories I am trying to finish. I had no idea how, though, so I began another one.
I wrote 300 words on a short story I have to send to a contest on may 15. The theme is "uchronies" which means "How would the world be if an important event in History was changed?" Lots of uchronies in the past have been about World War 2 and what would have happened if the Germans had won. A comment I made on this site gave me an idea and I'm writing about the "Back to Africa" movement and its consequences in time.
I should have washed the attic's stairs which are getting disgusting. I haven't. I probably won't today.
I wrote 250 words for Langcorrect. Twice because I couldn't write yesterday.
I washed my bedroom's and the terrace's floor.
I'm supposed to exercise every day. I'm not sure about today. I'll try.
I'm supposed to correct for other people and I want to, I really want to but this challenge is kicking my ass and I can't find the time to do everything I should...
It's only 12:40. I'll see what I can do later...

Korossol Into The Ring 20
I think my favourite holiday is the carnivale. It lasts three days : Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras and Mercredi des Cendres. It's a Christian holiday. Mardi Gras (litterally Fat Tuesday) is apparently also known by anglophones as Shrove Tuesday. Mercredi des Cendres or Ash Wednesday is the first day of fasting for the penitential season of Lent.
To summarize, you have seven days of feasting ending in Mardi Gras, then forty days of fasting starting Mercredi des Cendres.
In the Caribbean, where I live, those are three days of people dancing in the streets with a giant puppet that we call "Vaval". We carry Vaval all over the island, sometimes by night and burn him on Ash Wednesday. "Vaval is dead!" we cry, and dance more.
It's an exciting season. Carnivale bands "trains" sometimes months before and parade through the streets with a lot of energy (and a lot of noise). The musicians carry drums, trumpets and "chachas" (it's like a maracas.) Sometimes they also have Queen Conch shells as musical device.
Everybody can join a procession. You can leave your house and join the band passing through and stay as long as you want.
There's a grouping of the bands for the three official days on the evening. The dancers have costumes. Each band is supposed to choose a common theme, different than the year before. It's a bit of a game to choose not a traditional disguise but something about current events.
It's much more interactive than the Rio Carnivale and a lot funnier. It's an opportunity for dancing at unexpected moments of your days. Of course with a national curfew, it's a lot less funny...

20. Favoritsemester
Jag har ingen favoritsemester. Jag tänker att traditioner baserade på religiösa festligheter är dumma. Jag tycker inte om mycket tvingas köpa gåvor till Jul, måla ägg till Påsk eller fira ett nytt år. Alla dessa festligheter kräver för människor och buller, och jag är inte ett fan av båda. Jag gillar att vara lugn med få människor, vanligtvis nära vänner eller min partner. Jag har sett att på festligheter dricker folket mycket alkohol, och det finns alltid en person som börjar med att prata om politik, och sen alla blir arga mot alla.
När jag är på semester tycker jag om att upptäcka nya platser. Jag är en ganska aktiv person och jag gillar att gå och röra på mig. Det är bra att stanna på stranden ibland men jag föredrar att ta promenader runt sjöar, berg och skogar, och ”kommunicera” med naturen.

An unsolved mystery
This summer me and my family moved in a new house in a lovely city. When we came here the neigbor's were looking at us like we were some maniacs maybe because it was all broken and very dusty from the previouse owner. My brother and i were unpacking in our new rooms, mom was making dinner and dad was at work. Mom called us for dinner. My room was right beside the basement door right as i went by it i heard a loud „BANG!“ coming from the basement. My mom shouted „What was that!?“ while her and my brother rushed to the door so fast that the plate she was holding fell from the table and broke. They asked me what happened as i was telling them the story suddenly out of nowhere the door of basement opened on its own and the lights in the basement turned on. I was so scared that it sent shivers down my spine. We grabbed a bat in case someone was down there to protect ourselvs. The wooden stairs were cracking oon our every step. My brother went back up and called our dad in case something happened to us. Wen we stepped on the last step suddenly an old radio turned on but nobody was there as i was about to turn it off it stopped working and the room got cold but that was strange because it was summer. We didnt see anybody in the basement so we got back up. A day has passed by and i talked to my neighbor about what happened she told me a story about the previouse owner claming that he saw a ghost of his dead wife in the house and how he couldnt take it anymore seeing her so he sold the house. I was in complete shock that i just went home. After i told my parents the story they couldn't belive they were tricked the man didn't say anything about a ghost in the house when he showed them the tour of it. After we calmed down and ate dinner we all went to sleep. During the few weeks we were here nothing paranormal happened only the day that we came…. Until one night we heard something loud it sounded as a scream. We went down to the basement and there it was the ghost and a dead body of an unknown man on the floor. We called the police but the ghost was gone the unknown man was the previouse owner of the house.. Are we next on the list? Will we ever find out what happened? Will we ever see her again?

Les actions individuelles valent la peine pour le cilmat ?
Il y a quelques jours, j’ai écoutais un podcast qui s’appelait “How to Save a Planet” (Comment Sauver un Planète). Dans ce podcast, les deux locuteurs parlent d’un sujet un peu controversé : est-ce que les actions individuelles comptent vraiment pour baisser le gros montant mondial de carbone émis chaque année ? Autrement dit, en réduisant notre empreinte carbone, est-ce que ça suffit pour arrêter le réchauffement mondial et prévenir la crise climatique ?
Il s’avère qu’en considérant uniquement les résultats directs, c’est-à-dire la réduction de carbone émis si on prend de mesures plus vertes ou conservatives, il n’y a pas un grand effet. Un individu émet chaque année en moyenne 4,8 tonnes de carbone. Par rapport aux 35 milliards de tonnes émis globalement, ça fait une minuscule partie. Même si tout le monde réduisait leurs empreintes carbone à zéro, on ne peut réduire la quantité globale que par des pourcentages à un seul chiffre.
Pourtant, les effets des actions durables ne sont pas limitées à leurs résultats directs. Ils apportent également une puissance douce ou un pouvoir de convaincre aux autres à faire la même chose. En changeant notre habitudes de consommation, les industries doivent adopter leurs produits et méthodes en fonction de ces changements, ou risque de perdre leurs clients. Du coup, cet argument est beaucoup plus fort en faveur des actions individuelles parce que les industries d'agricoles et d’électricité constituent d’environs 50% du production totale de carbone.
Vu ces faits, à mon avis les actions individuelles comptent vraiment. Qu’est-ce que vous en pensez ?

Today's event
Today was an outpatient day. The number of reserved patients was about 20, which was less than usual. In addition, the number of referral patients was small at two, so it ended at 13:00. In the afternoon, I did running and abs and back training at the gymnasium. I was vaccinated for the second time this week on Monday, and the next day I was tired, and until yesterday I couldn't train because of pain in the vaccination area and axillary pain. After the training, I was experimenting with mice, so I went to the animal center to give an injection to the mice. I got home at 17:00 because I finished my work early.

EuroLines & co
En las últimas décadas, las empresas que prononen servicios de transportación de bajo coste se han hecho más y más populares, porque permiten viajar a grandes distancias por un precio muy razonable. La más conocida es seguramente RyanAir, porque ha generalizado el acceso al transporte aéreo, que fue por mucho tiempo inaccesible a la gente con ingresos modestos. Hay también empresas, como EuroLines o FlixBus, que proponen servicios de transportación con autobusos. Es una buena solución para visitar varias ciudades europeanas si ustedes no quieren que el viaje les cueste un ojo de la cara, ¡y si pueden quedar sentados durante más de seis horas!
Cuando vivía en Alemania, solí utilizar EuroLines para volver en mi país durante las vacaciones universitarias, y después, viajaba con FlixBus. La primera desvantaja de estas empresas es la incomodidad. Viajar largo, en sedes pequeños... ¡A veces, parece como una aventura! La segunda desvantaja tiene que hacer con las condiciones de trabajo de los conductores. Sin investigar mucho en el Internet, simplemente al oír de algunas conversaciones entre conductores, entendí rapidamente que trabajar con tales empresas implica mucha tensión, mucho trabajo y mucha fatiga.
Un otro problema, especialmente con EuroLines, es la relación con el cliente. Un día, no había imprimido mi billete electrónico y el conductor no quería acceptarlo. ¿Por qué los billetes absolutamente tienen que ser imprimdos? Todavía un gran misterio, para mí. Por suerte, un cibercafé se hallaba frente a la estación, pues, aquel día pudo imprimir el billete a tiempo, porque este señor muy amable no quería esperar cinco minutas más allá de la hora de saida, mientras que nosotros clientes ya debemos esperar cuando conductores llegan con veinte, trenta minutas de retraso, ¡y naturalmente sin disculparse!
Pues, ¿deberíamos viajar con empresas de transportación de bajo coste? Es difícil llevar una respuesta definitiva a esta pregunta. Hay ventajas innegables... Pero también muchas desventajas.

30 Day Language Challenge - Día Veintiuno
Hoy en mi lista de tareas no tengo demasiado cosas hacer. Tuve que meditar en la mañana, que acabo de hacer, y escribir en Langcorrect, que estoy haciendo ahora mismo. Después, tengo que trabajar, tengo una proyecta freelance que tiene que ser animado. Después de eso, voy a trabajar en mis proyectos personales. Tengo una tienda en línea y tengo que hacer nuevas diseñas de camistas, y tengo que trabajar en mi "animation reel" (¿carrete de animación?), un vídeo que mostrar mi trabajo en animación para clientes nuevos. ¡Entonces, voy a relajar!

I am a freelance illustrator and my name is Olivier Chen. I bumped into painting very early when I was a child, but like most people, I've taken a lot of detours by taking many jobs I didn't really like. When I was most bewildered, it became the starting point of my new journey. In the darkest time, reading and painting saved me and started to regain my childhood hobbies. Fortunately, the support of my family, friends, and clients along the way gave me the idea of becoming a professional illustrator. Today, I have been an illustrator for nearly 3 years. This journey makes me feel very happy, more courageous and grateful to be myself.
I'm still on and enjoying the journey to my destinations and I hope my illustrations can brighten my customers' home and bring, even just a little bit, warmth to them and their family! So if that, I am very satisfied already.
I'm providing customized artworks currently, and I definitely believe that they can gift their children, parter, family or friends with an exquisite product, which they've abundently received, from anywhere in the world. However if possible, I sincerely hope that I could be able to help them express their unique feelings and ideas for their loved one through a personalized custom family portraits illustration and many other arts / designs, because that will be the only one thing itself in the world and isn't that makes it more precious to us?
We are also living in an era of unprecedented technological advancement, which has also increased the intensity of consuming nature. I am a supporter of digital revolution. Describe My Office Desk
Because I am a software developer for TV products, there is a computer and many TV sets on my desk.
At the center, there is a computer and a 40 inch monitor which is originally an UHD TV.
I used two 27 inch monitors, but I am more productive with the 40 inch one.
Because it has a huge screen, so I can put many tasks on it and work the tasks at the same time.
On the right side, there is a pre-released TV set that is separated with a Panel and its main board to develop.
With the development goods, I can develop not only Korea, but also other countries softwares for TVs.
On the left side, it is my stationary that many fountain pens and notes are there.
Beside, there are a tea pot and many teas so I can serve people who visit my seat for their rest.
I always appreciate my chair that my back has no problem during more than 8 hours a day.
Like this, my office desk is wonderful to be comfortable for me.

Hoje meu To-Do-List é mais curto que nos últimos días. As minhas tarefas são de terminar um capítulo para o curso da universidade, fazer fichas no applicativo "Anki" e estudar fichas por um outro curso. Quero também cozinhar e fazer um bolo mais tarde. O meu objetivo é de ler um capítulo de um livro em português e estudar o vocabulário que eu não sabia. Queria também assistir alguns videos no YT que eu acho inspirador. Na tarde queria fazer esporte e escrever um pouco.

Aufgabenliste
Ich habe eigentlich keine tägliche Aufgabenliste. Im Vergangenheit würde ich Dinge täglich planen und eine kleine Liste schreiben, aber es oft passierte, dass ich keine Zeit um alles zu tun hatte, was zu großem Stress führte. Deshalb habe ich erfahren, dass ich besser mit einer Wochenplanung arbeite. Wenn ich aufwache, denke ich ein bisschen darüber nach, was ich tun soll, aber ich schreibe nichts. Heute insbesondere muss ich eine Sektion auf meine Bachelorarbeit fertig schreiben und ein paar Slides für eine Präsentation vorbereiten.

College students tend to stay up late and oversleep in the morning. There is a Japanese slang that expresses oversleeping exaggeratedly. The slang is "絶起 (Zekki)" which is the abbreviation for despair and getting out of bed. My friends also used it when they got up late and were late for their classes.

Why Zoom?
A video of Skype CEO, scream to Zoom because most market share is been taken away!
This video is so fun to watch but at the same time can feel his pain.
I am a skype user for a long time even now I still using it.
I also ask the same question as the CEO.
Anything Zoom can do Skype can do.
But under this pandemic situation most people just choice zoom.
If I am the CEO of Skype and watching how zoom growth so big within such short amount of time.
I will more angry then him!
But still no one can answer this question, why zoom is better than skype?

introduce myself
I have already written three diaries here, but I noticed I haven't introduced myself, so let me do, a little later though. My name is Hitomi and I'm 23 years old. I was born and live in Osaka, Japan. I just graduated from college last month and I majored in economics. I belonged to a Chinese economic seminar and half of the member were Chinese. Now, I'm job hunting and I'm interested in the financial industry and real estate world. For the time being, I'm gonna work for a company and acquire expertise at least for three years, and after that, I want to go to Australia on a working holiday. So I started to learn English in earnest and by the time I will go, I want to speak English more fluently. My hobbies are reading books, cooking, listening to music, going to concerts ( unfortunately, I can't it right now in this situation.), drinking with my friends. And what I want to do the best after this situation is TRAVELING. I have never been to Hawaii so definitely I will go. Thank you for reading.

我最喜欢的节日
我最喜欢的节日是圣诞节。虽然这个节日发上冬天的时候（所以天气又冷又阴天），但是还非常好好玩儿。其实，除了暑假以外，什么节日都短短。但是这是我第二最长的节日；高中为了让高中生们轻松每个冬天给学生们三个星期放假！所以，我觉得这个节日不错。
再说，圣诞节的时候大家给其他人几个礼物。因为我的家人很大，所以圣诞树下边放着很多礼物。我们开了礼物的时候，总是吃大惊，因为礼物又奇怪又有意思。开完礼物之后，家人坐着椅子上面，然后准备吃早饭。圣诞节的早饭好吃极了，需要花一个小时多吃完了。后来，一整天我会跟新礼物玩儿或者出去散步。
这是为什么这个节日许多好——几十天没必须去学校和什么点的时候，活动太好玩了。

my relationship
I'm in a relationship with somebody and we have lived together for 9 months. When we just got together, he happened to move to the city where I live and started to live by himself. I had lived with my family, but I started to live with him gradually because we had a lot of time together. Since we were college students until last month, we had a lot of time to spend with, like watching movies, hanging out together, eating out, and drinking often. But, since April, he has been super busy because he becomes a member of society. He is a manager of his personal fitness club and an instructor as well. He works as an instructor from morning to evening and after that, he starts office work after 12 if it finishes late. Moreover, he has been renovating his gym by himself recently to make another space by separating, which enables him to instruct two clients at the same time. That means he can earn double. Anyway I mean, he is too busy to spend time with me. In contrast, I have nothing to do except job hunting. I was going to Australia on a working holiday after I graduated from college, but the plan was spoiled because of the pandemic of coronavirus. And this situation will continue a little bit longer, so I gave up going to Australia once and started job hunting in Japan. These days, I have a few interviews online or take English lessons and just do chores and make dinner for him every day. I feel a little bored and miss the days I spent time with him. I know I have to get used to this situation early, but it's kind of difficult for me to do that. Anyway, I will do my best to get a job and to learn English right now. After things gets better, I want to travel overseas with him.
