Saying Grace

When I was a kid, my Mom was a devout Catholic.
She shifted from the Catholic to the Protestant faith in 2012.
The other day, my Mom stopped saying grace.
We usually say grace before a meal.
"Mom, you didn't say grace this morning, and you didn't go to church."
"It's hard to explain; faith means believing in something you can't know for sure is real, and right now I'm struggling with that."
"So you don't believe in God anymore? there're about 8 billion people on this planet, and you're the perfect Mom for me."
Please don't stop saying grace.
Every day some people are born, also some people die.
Our time on Earth is brief.
I thank God for giving us our daily bread.
