The First Night in Prague

For our first dinner in Prague, we decided to go to an Italian restaurant to fulfill my eldest daughter’s strong wish to try pasta in Europe. On the recommendation of the Hilton’s bell captain, we headed to a nearby Italian restaurant called “Piazza Coloseum.”

My eldest daughter was full of energy, but my younger daughter was starting to feel tired. I was also quite exhausted myself. The prices looked rather high, but since I had exchanged a fair amount of euros into Czech koruna at the Hilton Hotel, I didn't mind the fair even if it turned out to be a bit expensive.

"strong wish" is fine, but desire is a little more natural here.

Note: Bellhop/bell captain are US-only terms. (I actually had to google what a bell captain was to be sure - I've heard bellhop before but not bell captain) "Porter" is more used in other English-speaking regions, but the US also uses porter.

For fair, the correct spelling is fare but it's used for transportation price. E.g. The bus fare is expensive.

fair = 祭り or 正しい or 晴れ or 明るい or 美しい (or probably others not immediately coming to mind too, it's a word with a bunch of meanings) fare = 料金 That said, fare tends only to be used for like, admission fees into events, or transport fees. For a restaurant, people would say price or bill.
