In high school in the Netherlands I did bilangual education. All of my courses were in English, except for languages, such as French, German and Dutch. My English was pretty good back then, but now (4 years later) I’m struggling with grammar and choice of words when I’m having a conversation with someone in English. My study is in Dutch, so I’m not speaking English regularly anymore. At work, I see foreign customers and colleagues, but besides that I always talk Dutch. So I am trying to improve again. Ik volg een Nederlandse studie dus ik spreek weinig Engels. Op mijn werk zie ik af en toe buitenlandse klanten en collega’s, maar naast dit spreek ik altijd Nederlands. Nu ik dit schrijf merk ik dat ik zinnen probeer te herformuleren omdat ik niet weet hoe ik het in het engels moet zeggen.
