After experiencing Aquatopia, we mainly visited meet-and-greet facilities.
Although we have been to Tokyo DisneySea dozens of times, we had never gone into any meet-and-greet facilities because we are embarrassed to take photos with the characters.
At most, when there were outdoor free meet-and-greets, we would wait for moments when no other guests were around and quickly take photos.
However, my father asked me the day before to send him a photo of my husband and me, so we finally decided to visit a meet-and-greet facility.
Since it was our first time entering one, we enjoyed looking closely at the queue decorations, and the wait didn’t feel long at all.
The facilities were also separated from the noise of the park, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
However, when we actually faced the characters, we didn’t know how to behave. So, we felt nervous the entire time.
We tried to follow the behavior of the guests ahead of us, but we were probably so awkward that the characters might have thought it was our first visit to Tokyo DisneySea.
There are still some meet-and-greet facilities we haven’t visited at Tokyo Disneyland.
Visiting each facility once is enough for us, so we’d like to try the ones we haven’t visited yet.(lol).

'mainly' implies that's all you did for the rest of your visit, otherwise you can just say "we then visited the meet-and-greet facilities."

I think I would act very awkwardly too but also very excitedly. I hope your father liked the photo!

"free" being before "outdoor" sounds more natural to me.

"lol" doesn't need to be in parentheses. Also note that sometimes in very informal contexts like text messages, you could omit the period and just have the "lol" act also as a sentence ender. Since this is in a post with slightly more formal writing, you can have the period and "lol", though in actual formal contexts you wouldn't use "lol" at all.
