Burgers
When my girlfriend and I started making our own burgers, we always bought buns from store, and it was fantastic every time. At the very beginning, the burgers looked rather poor, but the taste was wonderful. Because we enjoy them so much, we wanted to make them better. And so we did.
As we gradually perfected our burgers by choosing the right ingredients, dressing, proper condiments for the meat, we also tried to make our own burger buns. To be honest, it wasn't a success on the first try. We tried a couple of recipes and when we found the right one in terms of taste, we needed to improve the final result, because they were small and dense. Once we accomplished that, there has been no place for the bought ones since. It doesn't taste so great with them as it did before! It's almost shocking how fast we get used to better tastes.
Now we prefer our burgers to those from restaurants, and they are also way cheaper!
