The Greatest Beer Run Ever

At first, I thought it was a comedy movie. However I haven't watched many Vietnam movies, so I find it interesting to know more about the war there. It is basically about an engineer who did his service in the US far away from the war and then dedicated his time to working with engines on mercantile boats. The plot of the movie arrives when on a drinking night he speaks up and promises something crazy! He promised everyone there that he was going to travel to Vietnam, look up for the neighbours and friends enlisted in the war, and then hand them a beer from his bag like the old days. All of this to show them respect and that they all are missed by their families and friends.
The next part of the movie is he travelling and doing the impossible to find his friends. However, he didn't expect the horror time all of them were living. He viewed with his own eyes the terrific that a war could be and understood it a serious thing. In the end, he returned home, and everyone was happy that he made it to tell it, and everyone was relieved that their friends were still alive.

If you're talking about being curious to know more about the war when you first came across the movie, you'd say, "...so I was curious to know more about the war there." If you're talking about being curious after watching the movie, my correction is what you'd say. I didn't know which one to use. ^^'

Vietnam movies functions, but is a little bit vague. Until I got to the second half of your sentence, I thought maybe you meant Vietnamese movies (as in, movies made in Vietnam).

However I haven't watched many Vietnam movies, so I find it interesting to know more about the war there. However I haven't watched many Vietnam movies, so I find it interesting to know more about the war there.

In summary, it's about an engineer who did his service in the U.S. during the war and dedicated his time to working with engines on mercantile boats.

We know the U.S. is far away from where the war is happening, so it's best to use "during" to state that a war is happening while he did his service.

This just sounds more natural to me.

It is basically about an engineer who did his service in the US far away from the war and then dedicated his time to working with engines on commercantile boats.ial shipping It is basically about an engineer who did his service in the US far away from the war and then dedicated his time to working with engines on commercial shipping

"mercantile" comes across as either quite scientific or old fashioned depending on context, so I think commercial is better here. "Boats" to "shipping" is changed because "boats" makes people think of smaller vessels, but most trading is on larger vessels, which are better described as "ships".

"look up" can mean different things depending the following word. You can "look up at" something, like looking up at the sky or the ceiling. Or you can "look up in" something, which means e.g. to look through a phonebook, website, dictionary, etc. Or you can "look up to" someone (e.g. as a role model). There are also some things you can "look up to" where it means the same thing as "look up at", like stars, or poetically "the heavens". You wouldn't really "look up for" something, however.

However, he didn't expect the (horrorible time / horrors) all of them were living. However, he didn't expect the (horrible time / horrors) all of them were living.

We wouldn't say "horror time". You can say "horrible time" or "the horrors" here, but the meaning is a little different between the time. To say "the horrible time" would focus more on the day to day negative experience. e.g. the hard work of drills, or digging trenches. "horrors" is a lot more visceral in its meaning, and is used for stuff like war or natural disasters. It focuses people's mind much more on traumatic experiences like injury, death, destruction, etc.

He viewed with his own eyes the terrificor that a war could be and understood it was a serious thing. He viewed with his own eyes the terror that a war could be and understood it was a serious thing.

"terrific" has meant "great/excellent" for a few hundred years now. You may find it listed as a synonym of terror in some dictionaries, but they should warn that that is an archaic usage.
