The Invigilation

Today, there is the final exam. I invigilated two subjects. Invigilation is so boring.
During the exam, the teachers can't carry any items especially smart phone. You can't read, you can't walk frequently. You need to sit quietly like a stone.
I tryied to review the words I have leraned recently, but I can only remember a few. Then I looked back my life, why I am in the situation like this. What can I do to change the situation. What should I do recently, etc.
Time never flow slowly like this, it is just like the Chinese saying"a second is equivalent a year".
Oh~ I use the word "equivalent" properly, I have learned it a few days ago. Maybe it is the benefit of invigilating.(I'm not sure if "invigilation" will be properer.)

What can II could have done to change themy situation.

"my" instead of "the" because you are talking about the situation you are in now. In other words, the situation that belongs to you, "my situation."

No, today is final exam, the exam is over, but today is not over. So I'm not sure which tense I should use.

Is "what I could have done" subjunctive mood? I am a little confused.

I am not completely knowledgeable on the details of English grammar, but words like "could have," "would have," and "should have" are all apart of a group of verbs which describe actions that you did not do in the past. "Could have" - What you could have done, but did not do. "Should have" - What you should have done, but did not do. "Would have" - What you would have done, but did not do. In this sentence, you are looking back at your life in relation to your current situation. Therefore, by using "could have" you are making a comment on what actions you did not do in the past, but could have done in the past to "change" your "situation". "What I could have done to change my situation." In other words: 'If I did the things that I could have done in the past, my situation would be different to how it is now.' I hope that makes sense :)

Maybe ithat is the benefit of invigilating. Maybe that is the benefit of invigilating.

"That" focuses more on what you just said. "It" makes the sentence sound too vague and general.
