When we try to express something, we basically speak or write. When we speak, there is a certain person there whom we talk to, but ,when it comes to writing, we tend to think it should be carried out alone. However, writing something, whatever it is, is actually a kind of complicated communication, because it requires you to talk not just with others, but yourself.
私達がことばで何かを表現しようとする場合，基本的には話すか書くかのどちらかになるが，話すときには相手の存在が直接意識されているのに対して，文章を書くのは一人きりの営みというイメージが強い。しかし，レポートであれ手紙であれ，私たちが何かを書くときには，意外に複雑な会話が行われている。なぜなら，文章を書くという行為には，誰かとの会話だけでなく，自己との対話が必ず含まれているからである。
