“Anyway, I think it’s better for you!” Marla teased and smirked. She pulled out her hands and poured them a new drink.
“Don’t say that. I was serious and don’t want to affect our friendship,” protested Scarlett. She finally meeted Marla’s gaze.
“No way, I care about you. And I will never forget you helped me when I had nothing,” Marla seriously said.
“I know, however I so hoped for a fresh start for the New Year,” Scarlett signed and slowly sipped her drink.
“And you will get it! We will go out next weekend. And you will find a spicy girlfriend,” Marla laughed with a broad smile. The atmosphere was again more relaxed.
“Yes, I believe I can try that if she is spicy,” finally joked Scarlett with a faint smile.
