My method when it comes to learning languages
Well, the aproach that I use to learn a language is the "immersion-based method", based mostly on the theories from the linguist Stephen Krashen.
The main concept is that you become better at a language when you understand "comprehensible input". Another way to put it is to say that you aquire a piece of the language when you understand a message.
There's an AMAZING free website that explains the whole theory and I really recommend it to anyone out there who wants to get to a high level of proficiency on a foreign language.

Good job! I also think immersion-based learning is valuable and much more enjoyable than traditional methods. I think Matt/Refold has some interesting and helpful advice, but I think some of the claims are not very evidence-based. One site with some tools I use that you might find helpful is www.migaku.io; I particularly like their Dictionary add-on for Anki.
