Sikkim

Long ago, there was a shallow sea, now replaced by the world's largest mountains.
This shallow sea was the site of gigantic earthquakes, and about a million years ago these earthquakes began to form a vast mountain system that we now call the Himalayas.
According to geologists, a million years doesn't make a mountain old.
On the contrary, the Himalayas are so young that they have not stopped growing yet.
Melting snow from the top of the mountain cascades down the mountain, creating numerous waterfalls that form rivers and valleys.
These rivers and valleys belong to the kingdom of Sikkim.
The whole country measures only 70 miles from north to south and 40 miles from east to west.
Although Sikkim is limited in size, it makes up for it with magnificent Himalayan scenery.
It is a small Buddhist kingdom sandwiched between India and Nepal.
In 1975, Sikkim was annexed by India and became an Indian state.
